Quitting smoking was the hardest (yet best) thing I have done. I used mind tricks mostly - like I could have cigarette after breakfast, then I would change it to after lunch etc.
Also I could not drink coffee without cigarette, so the coffee went as well (for 3 months) and I hate milk so I would chug a small glass of that & the thought of a cigarette after that was not nice. Good luck to you & I hope you find something that works for you.
