  • FAYE , I'm laughing with you, not at you . Love the little story, it brightened my day a bit.

    My boy is home and he had a good time at camp. He said it just took a few days for everyone to get to know each other and become buddies. When I got there to get him they were on the basketball court (playing away and he was laughing) This did a good thing for my heart!!!

    Food is not good, but not bad bad either....so no points for me. I'm sure I get the exercise pt for yesterday though because to go get him at camp it is a walk all up hill for about 1/2 mile. Then back down carrying camp stuff. Then to Walmart and walked around there for a while.

  • Peek: YOU GET A: for your exercise. You sure did get exercise! You don't always have to be using a treadmill to consider exercise!

    I could not believe I had that shirt on inside out. I sat in that restaurant for a good part of an hour and no one even mentioned it and there were servers and such that came up at me from behind, but I guess they didn't want to embarrass me. I could have killed dh though. I cannot believe he didn't notice! Listen, if that is the worst thing I ever do, I guess I can live with it. I used to have a shorthand teacher who everyone called "scratch" because she would itch her boobs in front of the class. She was really a sweet overweight widow, but everybody made fun of her behind her back including me, I am ashamed to say. One day, she came to school with one stocking that had a seam and one that didn't. Boy, that got a whole nother thing going. She was kind of a pathetic creature. We could get out of class by asking her about her latest vacation. We were just awful!

    Tomorrow is silly poll day so be prepared. You never know what I am going to ask!

  • Congrats on your points Sandy!! So glad your son had a good time at camp. I know how hard it was especially after that letter asking you to come and get him. I bet you are glad hes home!

    Me.. I just came in from an afternoon of cleaning up the yard. My mulch beds were just awful.. if you could have seen them you would have fallen over. Since I was ill all spring, then the surgery, I havent been able to do them until today. I had thistle taller than me! Now.. all the bushes are trimmed nicely and every weed is gone. Unfortunately the weeds were so bad that my mums didnt make it this year. Hopefully they will come up next. I am going to go get several bags of mulch tonight and then it will be finished for the year. We also trimmed trees and cut the grass. Whew!! Does that count as exercise? I think I worked harder in the yard than I ever do at exercising. It looks great though and I am very proud.

  • A Good Day!!!
    I have been OP today-in fact maybe a bit better than OP. I'm at just over 800 cals. Before you all tell me that is too little, I know it is. I just had a very busy day without a lot of time to eat. I don't feel like trying to get another 400cals right before bed. I'm going to make this post, eat an orange and then go to bed before the midnight muchies get me.

    I also did my exercise. 2 mile WATP. Woohoo!!! I'm working on the water, but if I get enough before bed it will probably result in about a 100 trips to the potty tonight. So I'll let you know about the water tomorrow. I might just do it, but I'm not certain yet.

    Well, my self imposed time limit on the computer is about up, so it off to have an orange and go to bed for me. Goodnight all.

    Well, I didn't make my personal goal of drinking 200 oz of water, but I still drank 7 glasses of 16oz so, I think I will say that I drank my water. That makes 4 pts for me yesterday. Woohoo!!!

    I'm off to a good start today. I'm having a little Sunday morning treat, iced coffee. I just made it up this morning and I thought that maybe those of you that like the Frappacinos at Starbucks or similar might like the "recipe". So here it is.

    Fat Free Iced Coffee Mocha

    1/2 C. of Fat free Milk
    12 oz. of Brewed Coffee
    1 pkt. of Sweetener
    1 t. chocolate Extract (Could use Vanilla, or other flavor too.)
    Few ice cubes

    Mix first four ingredients well then add the ice cubes. Yummy!!!
    56 Cals 0g of Fat


    A yummy little guilt free treat. I also use the chocolate extract to make chocolate milk sometimes. I definately suggest buying some chocolate extract to help with those chocolate cravings.

    You are marooned on a desert island. You have sufficient food and there is a natural spring for water, but no shelter. You have one person that survived with you and you rescued three things, whom and what would they be?

    I GOT A: for points and a for my clothing problem!

    Let's see, I would definitely have Jack there with me (he could help with the shelter thingy too) and then I would have a family pic of my kids, sil and grandson, a stack of books, and a deck of cards.

    Not even 7 am and I already have done 50 minutes of walking. I'm feeling today!!! I'm out of my funk and ready to do this thing. No more midnight binges.

    Okay, marooned on a desert island-First off I would want my husband Jon with me. (Although I'm quite sure without anywhere else to go he would drive me nuts. ) Anyway, I guess if I rescued 3 "things" one of them would have to be my dog. Then a big sleeping bag, and a box of games.

    Honeyrose: sounds like you have your ammunition and you are ready, watp tapes are great, started the 2 mile one recently, and man does it ever move and groove!!! I am doing 1.5 miles though and the cool down, I will have to work up to the 2 miles!! Good job on all the veggies too, I am off to the grocery store in just a few....keep up the good work

    tried on clothes once and then walked out of store with shirt on wrong side out, realized it when I got outside in the parking lot, of course I had to just leave it by that time!! couldnt change right there, would have been arrested for lewd behavior!! what a site that would have been, oh my!!

    Got an hour in the pool though it was wicked today. Cramps, cold water and it was low again which makes a workout even harder but I did 28 laps in the pool today! woohoo! That is besides my aerobic workout and cool down. As long as I was in the pool my cramping was ok, but when I got out, YIKES! Thank goodness this will be the last day for that stuff again.

    I am going downstairs, start a load of laundry and veg with a book. I put on a pork roast for dh for lunch and am going to shred it and make bbq for him. I baggie up the rest in individual baggies and it makes some nice lunches for him too.

    BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! The Brach candy company has a new snack out. It is milk chocolate covered carmel popcorn. I bought a bag yesterday and it is sinfully good. Thank goodness I hadn't eaten much yesterdy or my cal/fat would have been over. It was really addicting!

    Well sweet ones, I am going downstairs for awhile.

  • Hummmm....stranded on a deserted island

    One person would have to be hubby of course, and he is very resourseful with a hammer and nails....so the three items that I saved were 1) A tool box with various tools and nails. 2) A deck of cards to play with. 3) A box full of books.

    I would love to have some clothes too, but if it is just the two of us I guess clothes are not all that important...lol.
  • MONDAY: Today is Mission Monday and our Mission this week to to try to get some exercise at least 4 days this week.

    Remember exercise comes in many forms not just tapes, swimming, or treadmills. If you are a gardener and out pulling weeds for an hour, that is exercise, if you have to walk to work that is exercise etc.

  • Two Days in a Row!!
    Yep, that is right! I stayed OP yesterday, I got all my water, and I exercised twice. Woohoo!!!! I feel good. I cheated a bit today and stepped on the scale a day early-it's looking like tomorrow's WI will be a good thing. I'm not going to post numbers yet, but I was shocked.

    Well, it is early in the day so I don't have much to say yet!!! I will see all of you later today.

    I can't believe it's Monday already!! I've had such fun visiting with my mom, the time has just flown. Anyway, I got a big fat 0 for points yesterday But mom leaves today, and I can bring my focus back to where it needs to be. I'm determined

    Food is running low, but shopping will have to wait till tomorrow. Boy, I just tried eating a bowl of cereal (Total) after having fruit for breakfast all summer........BLECH! I think I need to brush my teeth again!!

    Amanda: You're doing great Let each success build on the next! It's easier to exercise tomorrow, if you did it today. Keep it up!

    Faye: My birthday is Jan. 15 and my 12 year wedding anniversary is next March 21 (I'm so proud I've been married longer than my parents were!)

    Dance class tonight, so I'll have at least 1 point to post tomorrow!
