pluckypear I did not find any boots but i'm also really super picky about what I buy and i'm not prepared to fork over $50 for boots that I really only need during the snowstorms....other than that it rains most of the winter...I do have some rain ankle boots that I could wear just to shovel out my car...we're expecting up to 20 inches of snow tomorrow and then it turns to rain...that ought to be fun lol

I am exhausted today....staffing nightmare this afternoon with a revolving door of staff coming to help but having to leave early...at one point I was alone with 30 kids which i'm not supposed to be but that's just the way the ball rolls today....I still need to feed everyone something for dinner....I wore an old pair of shoes today that SHOULD have been warmer but they hurt my feet so bad that I put my usual colder running shoes back on

The Cashew Cookies didn't happen well as it was a Raw recipe! The idea is to soak the nuts overnight, add lemon juice, vanilla extract and salt, blend, roll into cookies and put in the freezer to harden. The "dough" was really good though (too crumbly OR too watery) so I spoon ate it instead!!

To rectify the Pizza Fail last night, I'm going to forgo breakfast and have a nice Brunch instead (avocado and tomato mix). Leftover Cashews for snack. Hamburger and spinach for dinner.

Today's Intention: Paleo!

Mornin'.

Today is my day off. However, this is my get-everything-done day. Nails, shopping, gym, make dinner, etc. I haven't figured out what I want to make yet though. I usually poke around Pinterest for recipes.

I'm going to the gym or running outside later for sure. Jillian everyday doesn't cut it for me. It's not long enough and 2 segments would probably kill me. Jogging is my happy medium and it really keeps the weight off. I'm glad I finally decided to pick up her DVD again though, I pretty much lost ALL the tone she gave me. I will stick with it every other workout probably.

BBL.

Didn't check in yesterday, but it was my one day a week when I get whatever carby meal I want for one of my meals. I had mac and cheese and orange juice for dinner. Then my sweet, darling husband made me chocolate chip cookies! Not ANY chocolate chip cookies, but ones with chopped Andes Mints instead of chocolate chips. I love mint and these cookies were amazing. He doesn't even like mint but he decided he wanted to make them for me anyway. Yum! Kept breakfast and lunch very light to kind of compensate, I had cucumber wedges and a hard boiled egg.

ugh did i mention the 20 INCHES OF SNOW falling today?? omg i woke up and everything is buried in snow...had to dig out my car and drive down two very long unplowed streets following tire tracks and trying to stay out of snow drifts just to get to a moderately plowed side street and get to work...it's snowing like an inch per hour right now and not supposed to stop...i'm going home after work, gathering everything i need and NOT going home til 6 p.m. when they will probably have the streets plowed...

Thanks Diana.

Down 1.4lbs today. Nice.

Trying to live below 170.

Really unpredictable food day today. I have the pot luck in a few minutes and have just eaten a mini-salad with my key wonder foods to: a) make sure I get my favorite nutrients in; and b) resist bad stuff at the pot luck.

Then there are the workouts.

So here we go:

Breakfast: 2 pieces of toasted low-calorie bread with raw mushrooms and mayo light. 4 olives. 1 coffee, milk, no sugar.

Lunch: King crab, sardines, rainbow trout, cod liver, 10 anchovies, seaweed, hemp seed, 4 olives, kimchi, olive hummus, blueberries + somethings from the pot luck.

Dinner: Will drink beer at a work happy hour later and then even later at a bar after a run.

Exercise: Did 1 hour boxing before work. Just cancelled weight lifting before lunch. Will run about 5 miles tonight with a group of strangers in the dark ending up at a bar. Nuts.

I'm not getting any better. This is getting really old. I also still don't have a hot water heater, thanks to my bf's DIY mentality. I'm a little negative today. Don't mind me.

Yesterday calories in 1150
Salad
Green beans
ground beef
salmon
broccoli

Yesterday calories out 500
Swim and walk the dog

there is a good 12 inches or more of snow on the roads today and NOTHING has been plowed....i drove my little car home and was literally spinning tires on the corners, plowing through snow berms with my bumper and the only reason i made it to the driveway was because i didn't stop for anything...i almost slid into a garbage truck by god's grace, good tires and 20 years of alaskan driving under my belt i made it home without sliding into a ditch or anything else....

DH dropped me back at my school for the day and teenager at his high school next to me...i am at school until 6 p.m....no gym, nothing else...i MAY walk across to safeway for some coffee and food later...i have nothing to do and i'm wondering where in my classroom i can just nap for awhile lol...DH says tonight he will go to the gym with me...even if he decides not to, at least i can take the 4wd truck then

Wow AlaskanLaughter, amazing. You're out and about, down here everything would be closed, I felt like I was skidding around the corners with you. I really don't like it when it rains on top of snow. Stay safe!

Trying to resist cravings, not even a real craving, I feel like I should have a snack, I already ate:
B - raisin bran, unsweetened van almond milk, banana
L - spring mix, Italian, avocado, salsa, clementines

Not really hungry, just mind games, great idea to eat your stuff before the potluck, Ian, are you bringing some sort of fish?

Diana, good to be planning ahead, I've been stuck so long I'm getting protective of my recent loss...always something I guess

Best to all

I actually mixed the lite mayo with the tuna, then mixed that in to the quinoa...it was SO good! I'll do that again
