Good Morning Ladies!
I hope everyone's day is getting off to a good start. No complaints here. I actually got up and did a mile on the treadmill before starting in on work. It's easier for me to do that on Wednesdays because I work from my home. Since I normally have an hour commute to work I use that hour for exercise, getting laundry started and what not. And, I don't even have to put on makeup! So, it's looking like a pretty good day here. Other than it's foggy and yucky out.

Kat - What a night you had! I am so proud of you!! Sounds like you are making a major breakthrough!

Lori - I don't think we could be much futher apart and still in the same state. You are at one end and I'm at the extreme opposite. The recipe sounds yummy, but I think I'll save it for a special occassion.

Sandy - Yes, I do the same thing with the high point items. I hate to eat anything that is on the back side of the WW points card. Husbands are not always tactful with what they say. I find that statements come out of their mouths before their brain realizes what they are saying. But, good for you passing up the ice cream. But, you shouldn't do that because you feel bad about yourself. You should do it because you feel good about your decisions. I take measurements as well. I love to see the results on paper.

Aradia - WELCOME BACK! I wondered where you went. I am so sorry to hear about the illness and stress in your life. You can regain control! Don't try to do everything at one. Take it one step at a time! And, when you need a shoulder to cry on, someone to complain to, someone to talk to, etc. --- we are all here!!!

Mary - You have been quite a busy gal! Congrats on the VP position!

2cute - good to see you around this lovely Wednesday morning. Anything exciting on the agenda with your daughter today?

Lynee - Congratulations on the birth of your daughter!!! I am fairly new around here and love it!! I look forward to getting to know you.

First off, welcome back Aradia and Lynne. Congrats on your baby girl.
Mary- boy I never realized how much work goes into a library. Congrats on your Vp status. I know you be wonderful.
Barb- good job on gettibg your exercise in
2Cute- I'm glad you got some inspiration from the Oprah tape. It did the same for me
Sandy- sorry the hubby made you feel bad. They just don't think sometimes about how we take things they say. My hubby can be like that too at times. I try not to let it get to me.
Lori- wow that recipe packs a lot of calories. We are expecting thunderstorms here as well later on.
Kat- you go girl. Kickboxing sounds like so much fun. Hope you have a fun vacation from work.
Lucky- that job of yours sounds awesome. What do you do exactly?
Tina- hope you are doing ok with all the horrible tornadoes. Let us know, we worry about you.

Ok, I got cut off. What I was going to say was, if I missed anyone I am sorry. Today was another Curves day for me. I have so much more energy. I actually do a slow jog on the platforms now instead of walking. I really try to give it my all. After each weigh in and measure they hang a doily on the wall with your name and how many pounds and inches you lost. I think that is so cool. I can't wait until the 28th to see how much I lost for the month inch wise. Well gotta go. I'll be back later.

i'm at work and can't do a long post, but wanted to check in. and there's a very interesting thread in the 100+ club asking about whether to increase the time or intensity on the treadmill... lots of talk about heart rates and fat burn.

more later, i hope.

keep up the good work, ladies, and the great attitudes.

Hey Everyone -
Just stopped in for a quick peek on everyone while I am taking a break for lunch.

Steph - Good Job on yet another day a Curves. You've really got the hang of this thing they call Exercise!

Jiffy - I saw that thread about the treadmill. I've been wondering the same thing myself. I have been trying to do a little of both --- increasing time and speed. I need to figure out my target heart rate, I haven't paid much attention to that.

Have a great afternoon - see you later.
Hugs,
Barb

Oh good grief, it is RAINING! Thunderstorms are also expected So much for going for a walk.....

Well, everyone, it looks like we are also expecting rain and storms this coming Friday 5/9--so much for my photo shoot. I am in the process of getting it rescheduled for next Friday, 5/16. Let's hope the weather is better then!!!

Tonight is our tenant council meeting, so in addition to doing a load of laundry, I had to set up for the meeting, and go over the minutes from the last meeting. Also, it is my month to serve the refreshments, so I made the fruit shortcakes (and eating very lightly today so I can have one tonight )

Thanks, Jiffy! That was interesting. I guess, at this point, for me, just doing something, anything, is better than what I have been doing! BTW, I just noticed that you are a Jersey girl too! What exit? 117 here.

I'm just popping in for a minute...dh is coming home today, so I want to spruce things up a bit around here. He's been gone since Sunday...golfing in Ocean City, MD with my BIL. Early Father's Day gift. Four days is too long!!

Sandy...I think that your man is very perceptive!
Quote:
What he was trying to say was that for the past 13-14 weeks I have done so well and been so excited about this and then Easter came and I just kinda fell apart. And it was showing in my mood and in my voice and happiness that I was not totally on my plan.
Anything untrue about that? Be very honest with yourself and throw out those insecure, self doubting feelings. I think your anger with him was really anger with yourself...you are doing great, so focus on that!! And give him a hug for being so tuned into your moods. (mine would have suggested ice cream as a way to cheer me up too!) The last time we went, however, I had them make me a rootbeer float with ff/sf vanilla yogurt and diet root beer!

Lucky...Since the new boss is so generous, tell him you need a young, handsome stud for your assistant...

Thin, I never got a chance to congratulate you on your son's graduation! I know you are a proud mom!

2cute...I know you're having fun with your daughter. You two sound like my daughter and I. We're very close, I'm starting to miss her already and she's not even gone yet! Just thinking about her going to college gives me palpitations...that could be the tuition though!

Steph...you are doing so well with Curves, you're making me miss it! I do love my gym though. I like the variety... Keep it up girl!

Barb...I think I'm going to pop over to Target for "Pilates for Dummies," thanks to you! Sounds good. I bought myself some Pilates tape for Christmas, but it is only instructional...no routines...I guess I'm supposed to buy that tape seperately. It did come with bands and a mat though, so I can use them. I had taken a class at the gym and loved it...you definitely feel muscles that you had no idea were there!

Tracy...I love the TaeBo video! That is a good, quick, sweaty workout! Keep up the good work!

Mary...I was wondering where you had gone...you are one busy woman! That tomato sandwich sounds so good...can't wait til we have some decent tomatoes around here for that very thing!

Welcome back, Lynne and Aradia! Congratulations on your baby girl, Lynne!

Aradia...do not crawl back to this board. Hold your head up high, shoulders back, chest out and walk proudly to us! That you can control. Now, give yourself a hug. You've come to the right place.

Tina...I hope that you are safe and secure. Please keep us posted. {{{hug}}}

Michelle...how is the "Y?" Are you getting to use it? Do they have babysitting for Andrew? Is August good for you? Early August might be the best time for me. Or early July. We'll be away from 7/19-26. Barb, Steph, Jiffy, too, if you'd like to join us! Let's start planning our get together.
won't the other girls be JEALOUS?

Sara, darling...pop in and let us know how you're doing!

I think I got everyone on this thread and then some...sorry if I missed you!

Gotta run...I need to cut the grass before the rain comes...again. To those of you affected by all this horrible weather, please take care and know you are in our prayers.

Angry Good afternoon!

How is everyone today? I am doing great! As I sit here I am feeling sore around the middle and it feels good. That Taebo yesterday must have done its job. I plan on doing it again in just a bit and I think I will do a little weight training this evening.

Ok just wanted to check in!

Tina- Where are you???

Hugs,
Tracy

Hi girls,
The day has been really busy, I didn't even get to sneak on and take a peek at work. The day started really foggy and wet here but the sun has tried to pop out all day. We are getting rain tomorrow though, think its on the way from down there!!! Yuck!!

Kat: Boy my hubby would love the idea of you sticking up for him. And, yes you and he were both right, I was upset with myself for not having the gumpsion I had at the start. I think I refound it though, because today is Wed. and I am still on plan.

Tracey: good for you and the Tabeo....I wanna do that too, once I loose some of what I got already.

Kat and Jiffy: I'm only about 5 or 6 hours from you all!!!

Lori: Sorry about your photo shoot, better luck next friday.

Barb: wow exercise first thing in the a.m. you go girl....I like to have coffee and wake up first.

Mary: Hello, it is Sandy and Mary night in chat is it not? Maybe some others can find time to pop in and bless us with their presence???? LOL shhhhhh..........they might learn our secrets.

Aradia: Welcome back, please post more.

lynne: Congrats on the baby

Steph: I love the sound of curve. We are a small town small community, we don't have anything like that. A long time ago we used to have a place called Slender You? I remember my mom used to go a long long time ago, it was machines that worked your body? I head a commercial on tv the other day, but missed seeing it so I don't know where on earth it is or even it the tv was on a local station? Anyway, good for you for sticking too it and let us know how many inches you loose.

Tina: I don't know if I should yell at you to get you a$$ back in here and post or if I should cry cause you can't. I'm in hopes it is the yelling part and that you will post very very soon. We pray that all is okay with you and the family and that the tornadoes have missed you.

2cute: Is it still sunny? Please send some this way, I hate when the days are dreary.

Well, I think I got to everyone on this thread. If I forgot it was not intentional, cause I even went back and looked

Luv ya all,

Talking Hello-feeling good today

Well ladies,
I haven't done anything productive yet, I had to come check the boards you know. I have to do major spring cleaning. (I got really behind while I was in school) Then I have to do major rearranging and sew some curtains because I am getting a new computer on Friday. Yeah!!!! I just have webtv now and it isn't very good for school so vocational rehabilitation got me a new Gateway system I just have to go pick it up on Friday. I'm very excited, once I get that system I will join you in chat. I can't chat in the 3 fat chicks room with the webtv. I will be able to do so much more when I get it.
Suggestion: Whoever starts the next thread, would you put the time and day that everyone meets in chat? I would never know when to go there. Also, is it the general room?

Okay, this is the first time I'm going to do individual replies, so bear with me if I forget someone. (It is not deliberate)
2Cute: Hope you are having a good time with your daughter today.
Kat: I wish I could get that motivated about exercise. Way to go.
Lucky: Sounds like your new job is great. Hope you get that hunky assistant.
Barb: I'm sure your family will see the difference.
Lori: You are the recipe queen. Watch on Sunday I'm going to give you guys my carrot cake recipe. My hubby says it is the best he's ever had. It has almost no fat but I don't have a complete calorie work up on it.
Sandy: I totally sympathize about your experience with your hubby. My hubby has concluded he can't say anything about my weight except you're looking good otherwise I fly off the handle.
Aradia: I don't know you, but welcome back.
Mary:Congrats on the VP position. My mom has studied our geneology a bit, but I can't remember everything she tells me. (I need the our Family chart for dummies.)
Lynne: I don't know you, but welcome back and congrats on your daughter.
Barb: Sounds like you enjoy working at home.
Steph: They have a Curves over by the college (60 miles away) you are making me think more seriously about joining it.
Jiffy: Hello, hope you are having a great day.
Tina: Hope everything is okay.

Well, ladies I hope everything is going good for everyone. Again I'm sorry if I missed you. See you again soon.

Talking Hello

Hi guys! I just got finished with doing TaeBo. I feel so good right now sweat and all. Must be those endorphins I have heard so much about

Sandy I do not belong to Curves YET but I am planning on joining as soon as I get a little extra cash. You can go to www.curvesforwomen.com and look for the closest one to you.

I am soooo stressed the last few months. My 8 year old has started to act like a monster. Sometimes I feel like I am at my wit's end with him. I am thinking of getting him involved in some kind of anger management program. I have tried taking away priviledges and spankings but nothing is working. He has even started yelling at and backtalking his dad and he never dared do that before. I swear I could wring his little neck some days. Where is my sweet little boy? I hate having to be mad at him all the time. I am really starting to think that he has a problem. Sorry to be upbeat and then dump this on ya but we were just argueing yet again and I needed to vent.

See ya in a while,
Tracy
