A scale is my primary daily tool for accountability, along with logging those weights and logging my food. Among them, I can tell pretty precisely how my diet in quantity and quality is affecting my body over the long term, and over the short term I can be aware and not dodge the consequences of my eating, which keeps me honest.

Buy a scale.
