Hi Everyone!

TTOM showed up today. Let's see how long it is this month. Hopefully the new thyroid meds will be of help this month.

Misti Good deal on the two short weeks! Love that! I know the compliments feel good. Hang in there, the scale will eventually start cooperating.

Larry Today is your first day back on plan. You can tweak things like you did before, and make your plan work for you. You did it before, you can do it again.

Mamakat My hair has gotten frustrating for me again. It's probably because my thyroid meds being off. Hair issues are typical with thyroid issues. Do you remember last year when it turned curly? My hair went from being straight as a board to being curly in a month or two. It's really on my nerves again. Tomorrow is my hair appointment. I think I am going to tell her to let the bangs and sides grow a little. I want the back a little shorter. I need to do like you do and just shave it. Maybe I need to have a talk with my hair. Look here, you will start acting right or I am going to get rid of you!

Cat Eyed Good job for sticking with the higher fiber carbs. They should fill you up quicker.

Steph Hang in there. Change can make us anxious. We are cheering for you. Again, I am so glad that you landed the new job so quickly. When do you start the new job? Will your job/duties be the same or different than your previous job? Do you know any of your new coworkers?

Novangel Stay strong against the munchies.

Today was a good day!
Breakfast was a small bowl of cereal and lots of fruit!
Snacked on some fruit.
I had a big salad for lunch, with an apple and chocolate.
For dinner, I had soup, salad, and 1/2 a pbj.

I did 1 1/2 hours of hatha yoga and spent an hour on the eliptical.

I hope to go for a jog in the morning tomorrow, and to weigh in. Hopefully, my number will be in the 160's!

Good morning, everyone. I wish it was going to be a sunny day here but the forecast is for snow showers. The weather has turned quite raw, so the furnace is chewing through the oil tank at a decent clip.

Received the two new exercise videos I ordered for ab workouts and did the first one last night. Gilad Maximum Abs is the name of it. I liked it because it is an all standing abs workout. The second video is the Gilad Abs Challenge, which is more floor work. I've never really focused on my core with workouts. These two programs are suppose to balance core work with the opposing back muscles. We'll see how it goes. I am starting to see a little definition in my biceps and tris as a result of the Cardio Barbell workout I'm doing at the gym. So, progress is being made toward my goal of being more healthy.

Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Megan Congrats on having a good day and sticking to your plan.

Worththeeffort You will have to let us know what you think about those workouts. I have also been interested in that particular standing ab workout. Where did you order them?

Good morning, everyone!

I was lazy last night and did not come on even to read. Wish I had time for personals but work beckons. Thanks to those who left encouraging comments. Mamakat, yes about the pants... LOL these size 20s are sooooo tight on me it is hard to button them; I took the black pair of size 22 out of the bag I promised my friend just in case my 20s do shrink any I will have a pair to get by for a while LOL. I am *counting* on not gaining any weight back.

Welcome back, Larry.

Speaking of weight, I LOST A P0UND!!! It took 19 days! Yikes. I planned to have my Christmas mini-ticker by now!! At this rate it will be Valentine's Day before I get it LOLOL. Hopefully the plateau has broken.

Have a super day everybody.

Edited to add: YYAAY I weighed a bit later and got another one!!! 7 more before I can see the surgeon!!!

You are on your way! Congrats on ten 2 pounds down.

Diana You must be so excited about your cruise, it's getting closer. I have no hair woes because I have none but almost time for a new wig. Bangs are in I hear though. I always get bangs.

Mamakat Hello and nice to see you are doing okay.

Hello to everyone else. Not doing too many personals lately due to time constraints.

Did not get the job.

Did my first Xmas shopping of the year. I ordered some things online. I sent gift cards to Mom, my niece and nephew. Ordered DH an xbox game and ordered myself two books and a blu Ray movie. I look forward to getting these gifts from DH in my stocking. Lol Now I have to get DH a blu Ray player for Xmas. They have some on sale this week.
Other shopping will take lace on Saturday. So will be hitting the organics beauty store, the salon for a gift card for my sis, the liquor store for multiple gifts and toys r us.

What are ideas for a family gift, for a family with several kids. No more then $50. We do not do individual. Any ideas appreciated. A friend gives fun quirky board games that are age appropriate as family gifts.

I am going to deep water aqua fitness today. Laundry is on now. And I am meeting sis for coffee/lunch at 11.

Have a good day.

Congrats, Misti!

Plucky- How old are the kids? Boardgames are a good idea, or maybe card games or tarot cards or something like that.

So far, today has been good. I started off the day with a weigh in- 165, which is 5lb lower than when I weighed in on Saturday (which was probably up from all the food and salt I ate that week!). I then spent 30 minutes on the eliptical. Breakfast was good, all fruit. For snack, I had a small hanful of chocolate chips.

Congrats on your loss Larry!

I spent Fri -Sun in the city having a hedonistic shopping weekend with my best friend. I semi behaved (drank water, swam at the hotel, took my supplements), but there was a lot of good food, and then my aunt and cousin were down when I got home, so Friday through Tuesday was a bit of a write off. I'm back on plan, but I'm not going near the scale for a week. I know I'll be up, I don't want to stress about it, and my biggest work day of the year is Saturday. So I'm just going to stay on plan, exercise a little harder, and hopefully be pleasantly surprised next Wednesday!

Hey everyone.

Nice to see people losing and keeping things in check!

I had my first holiday party today, and skipped all the munchies just had 1 diet sprite with a splash of vodka...

I did have 2 mini cupcakes at home, since my friend brought them over as a thank you for taking her and her cats in....(I now have 2 cats wandering around my apartment) - I don't feel bad for eating them because I skipped all the other stuff at the party.

I am sick though (boo) hoping it won't last long and it won't go into my chest....

that's it for now... happy losing all

Today may be a rest day to give my legs a break and TOM is causing some discomfort/fatigue. I also don't want the gym novelty to wear off. Either I will do Jillian or nada. We shall see.

I'm curious to see what my weight is post-TOM.

Diana: I ordered the DVDs from Amazon because of the free shipping. I watched the previews on CollageVideo.com, though to make sure the videos would be something I would be able to do.

Misti: Congratulations on finally breaking the plateau. Good for you to keep working and not giving up. You're doing great.

Pluckypear: I've been picking away at my Christmas shopping, too. Trying to decide what to get the niece and nephew. She's 9, so is old enough to receive her first cookbook. Among gifts for my parents will be a $50 gift card to a local grocery chain that they will be instructed to use to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. They don't like to pay the high prices on their fixed income but I want them to have the nutrition.

Larry: Glad you're getting back on track. Congratulations on recording another 2 pound loss.

Today was my yoga workout. I have some achy muscles following my first abs workout last night. Not sure which workout I'll do tomorrow. Guess that means it'll be a surprise.

People sure do seem to be going nuts for the Power Ball jackpot today. It seemed to be the only thing they were talking about on the local or national news. Kind of foolish to be making into a top national news story but maybe it was a slow news day?
