So glad to see everyone here.... it is keeping me up and going....
Well I have done not so good with the food today..... but I am not going to beat myself up.... i was running late this am and was starving so stopped and grab a chick fil a bisquit and of course since I was there I had to get there sweet tea becasue they have the best...... they are so darn good but so darn bad.... then a customer gave me a black and white cookie.... again so darn good and so darn bad.... I did eat pull roasted chicken on a wheat roll and I only ate the bottom of that for lunch which was good and I am eating with my girlfriend at the japanese resturant tonight and I eat pretty well there....
The peep show thing is so funny and has happened to me more times than I want to admit.... one time I was wearing this beautiful strapless navy sequined gown and I was at an art show, this guy had tripped and was falling so in his infinite wisdom he thought I would be able to hold up his 250# frame or more accurately that my dress would hold him up.... how embarrassing- he fell down and took my dress with him.... I smacked him good!!!! He was so apolagetic.

Angel, it seems that each and everyone of us has had that happen to us. I feel so bad for you, being in a very public place and all. I believe that I would have beat the crap out of him. Done really good on the food yesterday, but I did have a 12oz caff free diet pepsi. I know that I shouldn't have but I figure that one every othere week wouldn't kill me. Who knows maybe that difference will help the scale want to move for me. Well it's off to start the morning rountine, get everyone up for school and work then clean, the only good thing is that I don't have to work today so I can get out and walk. Catch y'll later.
I hope everyone is doing great!!!! I was shocked this am I got on the scale and am down to 200.5# YEAH!!!! It was suprising because of the junk I ate yesterday. My weight moves so slowly off my body.... but I have actually slowed down some on my workout routine and I think that is actually helping... but the other thing is I am doing those challenges and being better to myself so I guess it decided to reward me.....
Anyway, I am off ---- HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!!!
Angel, it was so wonderful to hear about your loss. Way to go. Expermenting is what I am doin right now. Tryin to figure how to kick back into loss mode. I thougth about goin to the gym but right now money is too tight so I am opting for the free stuff in life. I am happy that you are able to keep up your own personal challenges. It is so hard for me each and every day but each morning I tell myself that I will be much better off for doing them. Got my ab work in and am getting ready to go and walk. How is everyone this evening? Got my walk in done 1.5 miles then came home and cut the grass. Movin and lossin(I hope). I have already decided that this is goin to be a great weekend. I figured that if I tell myself in advance it will happen.
I have been working on these deep breathing exercises. They are supposed to help you relax and find energy.... a few people that i have spoke to about it say they have also lost weight - well hey - if that is a side affect I can handle it....lol
I have found someone that can alter my dress - YEAH! - I have to take it over to her today.... boy the day is getting closer and closer..... 5 weeks from today!
We went yesterday and firmed up the rehearsal dinner plans so that is one less thing to do.... but still so many more....

Angel I saw your post on the Body Flex forum. I bought those tapes to but have not been motivated to do it yet. Let me know if it really works. I watched it one time and it looked so ridiculous I had to laugh. I have to hear it first hand before I embarass myself. I just showed my dh a sample of it. He laughed so hard. He said please do that again.! But if it works I will be the first one to start breathing!!!
Okay poor Sandy has had to hear this already on another forum we are on. So I will try to make it short and concise. I have this big event tonight. I went to buy something at a second hand store. I was very discouraged because I am not even out of a 16 yet! I have lost 28lbs. I thought surely I could get at least a 14. I refused to buy a 16. I would rather wear an old rag! The sizes they pass off these days as large is a farce! America is getting bigger not smaller! These sizing people need there head examined!
Also I have major flab from the weight loss and I have been working out! I guess a gym pass at some point is going to be a necessity unless I get some equipment for home.
Well I have to run now. I have to clean my house and go to the mall and see if Ican find something. I will probably just come back more discouraged!!! Thanks ladies for letting me vent!
Hi everyone! How is everyone this cool wet Saturday morning? It was so warm and beautiful yesterday and now there is snow in the forcast for tomorrow. I know that this is a combination of red bud/dogwood winter but we don't need snow. I know that some of you are thinking that I am crazy but I am not yet that is. Thankfully we should have one more winter to go before we hit spring.
Angel I am so glad that you have found someone to alter your dress. What colors are you using? So is this goin to be a huge event with lots of bridesmaids and groomsmen? My first wedding wasn't too big but the second time it was so easy. We got married at night in the pouring rain in the middle of a park. Talk about cheap! I think that we were only out the license and the fee that we paid for the guy to marry us. I feel so bad for you tryin to plan it all. I know how hard it is amd the stress is sometimes enough to make you crazy. See if we lived near each other we could even give you a shower.
Beth have you thought about wearing a griddle. I know if you are like me and loath the idea but I swear to you that it does help. Someone many years ago told me the same thing and I thought that they were full of bs, but when I tried it I changed my tune. I was told to get a really good heavy duty one and wear it all the time. I have only one and that one lasted for a while but since I wore it after my surgey it is dead(it was on its last legs then). The fashion industery is awful and I agree wholeheartedly with you. What really gets me are the little bitty tops that are suppose to be stretch. Man who do they fit? Even the l/xl are too small. Size is another thing that kills me. You could wear a 18 in brand and a 16 in another. Then there is the lengths of the jeans. Mostly I get average, but the other day I had to get petite. Ok I best get off of the saop box. Denise Austin has some really good tape. I got one that is hit the spot abs. There are 4-10 min workouts on it. They target different parts but each of them do a total one, some have more for some spots than the other. If I could get rid of the lower gut I would have it made. Anyway here's to finding you something. Let me know how it goes.
Guess that I have to get a move on. Almost time to go to work. I really wanted to stay home today and watch the ball game but I will have to settle on gettin the information from the customers that come in. Here's to a good Saturday.
Beth - I will let you know about the body flex tapes.... I know that the main thing is really about the breathing.... right now just whenever through out the day I take a deep breath in.... then hold it for 4 times more than the inhale.... then exhale for twice as long as the inhale (ie: 8 seconds inhale, 32 sec hold, 16 sec exhale).... I do this about 3 times a day for 10 inhales....i have been doing alot of research and one thing that I have discovered is how poorly we breath as americans.... we breath very shallow... three research studies that I read tested 3 groups of people on cancer concerns.... and i wont bore you to death but the one group in each study that did the deep breathing had an 87% better chance of not having cancer.... pretty incredible... the basic idea is that for your body to generate new cells and to remove the old cells (the cells most likely to turn cancerous) is by oxygenating the blood...... It is also supposed to increase your energy and thought process and since I have no energy and my thought process has been gone for awhile and I would like it to at least visit once in awhile..... and I figure that we all need oxygen and it costs me nothing to do this breathing so I am sure it cant hurt me and since I have already had cancer and it runs in my family - why not???? and then when looking into BF what she says is basically true so that cant hurt either so I am going to try it too.... I have been doing it for two days now and I will let you know.....
Sandy - thanks for the encouragement about the dress... my dress is a pale pink and is pretty formal.... I have 3 bridesmaids and they are wearing all different dresses just the same color which is a hot fushia pink with a black overlay which sounds really bad but is quite beautiful - looks like a burgundy-purple color.... my son & daughter are walking me down the isle and then my daughter is also singing for me.... the wedding is going to be somewhat large - about 125-150 people -I wanted MUCH SMALLER but Keith wanted VERY BIG - we have role reversal when it comes to this wedding... i had wanted to elope and he wanted traditional.... I am sure it will be beautiful and as long as I dont pass out things will be fine.... I am really looking forward to the honeymoon - ITALY!!!!! - I cant wait!!!
I know what you guys mean about clothing sizes and I have to say wedding dresses are the worst! I wear a 16 normally - my wedding dress is a 20!!!! I about died!!!! WHen I was talking to this lady she said "Oh No wedding dresses run about 2-3 sizes smaller than normal dresses" I was thinking you have got to be kidding.... the one day in your life that you want to be tiny and feel confidant and they make you feel like a small rhino (or a large rhino)!!!! This is one area where you think if they were going to mess with clothing size they would do it the other way for example if you normally wear a 16 you wear a 10 or 12 is your wedding dress.... My girlfriend Rose who weighs 105#(really! - you got hate her!) , 5'2" and wears a 3/5 had to buy a 10 in her bridesmaid dress- Can You Believe IT!!!!!! I had no chance!!!!OK I will get off my soap box now!!!!
ANyway, Beth I wouldnt worry about it - I do understand how devastating it can be though.... I cried the day I bought my dress. It was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life and all I could see was "20" on the dress. You just have to let it go... you know that you are looking better and feeling better and going in the right direction - Clothing designers/manufactures are mostly on drugs anyway (this is your brain on drugs) so I woulnt worry about it.... be proud of where you are and if the dress looks great on just tear out the size tag and make your own.... how does a size 5 sound????

Hi everyone! How has the weekend treated everyone? Done alright I guess but I didn't get in my walking on my day off today. It was way too cold to go out and walk. Just a quick Hi! It has been a crazy weekend! My parents just left this morning. I went out to lunch with a friend who is flying back home today.

Sandy I did wear a girdle! Would not go with out it! I was able to find a black dress. Sweater top and rayon skirt. I was very pleased with it and got lots of compliments.
Has anyone here tried Curves. A friend of mine is doing it and she just told me they are opening one up on my side of town. I may check into it. I want to know how much toning it is though. That is what I really want now. I am doing fine on my own with out the other.

Never been to curves. There is a gym in the strip mall where I work at. The menbership is cheap for the people that work in the mall and I have been thinking about startin back but I have been very busy at work lately. Good goin on the black dress. I bet that you were on seventh heaven when you were gettin all of those compliaments on your dress/new body. Hope that everyone is having a good day. Will not be on for a little while my puter died and I have to reinstall my OS hopefully that will fix it for now.
Did pretty good this weekend... been doing lots and lots of deep breathing... I dont know about whether I lost any weight or not but I am not feeling so stressed so that is something....
Anyway, I got alot done this weekend towards the wedding... getting closer everyday! (33 days!) all that is really left is firming up the videographer, meeting with the preacher, firming up the photographer... we have them all booked we just have to meet with them and make sure everything is ok.
It is pale pink in color... and I am adding a light pink chiffon layer over the lower half to make it just a little bit pinker because when it photographs it sometimes photograph white.
I got up this am and went to the gym and ate well all day so we will have to see how I do tonight....
Well I am off - I have work I need to get done yet.

Hi all! Angel checked out your dress and I love it. Bet that you will look stunning in it. Wanted to start workout today cause I got off work early but life had other plans. I had to register dh's truck and I had forgot all about it, and by the time that I done that when I got off of work it was 3 pm by the time that I got home. That leaves me with very little time before I have to pick up my son from school. So with what little time I have left I got ahead start on dinner and am gettin ready to do my ab workout. Not enough time some days. Here's go a great day!
I have 31 days till the BIG DAY!!! I am actually starting to relax a little... everything is almost all planned and trying to get all the little things completed so that the last 2 weeks I dont have anything to do....
I understand about not having enough time of day that is why I literally roll out of bed and workout 1st thing.... whether that is at 3am or like my normal which is 5:30am.... I am not a morning person but I know that if I wait till later "LIFE" will get in my way and I wont do a thing.....
