I do that all the time.. iced coffee though. SOO refreshing. Idk if its good or not.. but ill guess its bad bc of the caffeine.. nothing can beat the feeling of endorphins releasing and caffeine jolt for me
I've come to the conclusion that regardless of how 'bad' coffee might be for me, I'm not giving it up. I Just try to remind myself to keep hydrated because it is a super diuretic.
Caffeine can cause and/or increase dehydration. After working out, your body really needs water to replace what was lost during your workout. If you are drinking water, then coffee, I don't see a problem with it, but definitely drink water first, then the coffee.
As long as you're getting enough water and not negatively affected by caffeine, I don't see a problem with it. It depends on the individual, but I can get wicked headaches if I have tea, coffee, or other caffeinated drinks after a lot of exertion. It hits me hard and makes me feel off. With water, no such issues, so I generally have my coffee on its' own as a treat, not with any activity or meal.
Again, though, it is very individual. If it doesn't bother your body, I don't see any big issues.

Hah, I have coffee before my workout. The only way for me to get going in the morning- although I'm thinking about switching to after I get to work so I actually get moving faster.
I don't see anything wrong with coffee after a workout. Then again, I'm a coffee fiend. I've drank the stuff regularly since I was 11. Thanks mom
