S/C/G: wanna be 135

Height: 5'3"

Talking Good morning mi ladies

Happy Saturdy. Just a quick post before I head out the door for my walk~~yes, a walk on Saturday, that's new to me . I am down 2 lbs this week, excuse me while I do another happy dance . That's 39 lbs down baby!

I took my son out to lunch yesterday to his favorite fast food place here, Zippy's. He loves their chili. I had a Boca burger on a bun, no sauces, w/a tossed green salad. They didn't have ff or low-fat dressing so I had to do with oil & vinegar. Had it on the side and dipped my fork~~see? I am learning to eat out. Then last night I took him to see Piglet's Big movie. That was sweet. I bought the boy one of those movie kid's packs so I didn't get myself a huge, honking bag of popcorn. I only snuck a couple of handfuls from him while drinking my diet coke. I'm doing good if I say so myself.

Angie hang in there honey. A # lost is a # lost! You know the second time around is a bit harder--I lost all of my weight the first time in 5 mos, that was 50 lbs, 9 years ago. This time it's been 5 mos, 39 lbs but I'm happy doing it this time. And I know this is the last time I'm gonna go through this. You're my inspiration, keep on keeping on!

I'll be back later in the day. Have a great weekend everyone!

Noelle You are doing so great girl!!!!

I got an order of lomein for supper tonight. I figure I have been craving it and maybe it will help jumpstart my metabolism. I have been so good for so long I figure it can't hurt me too bad. There are no bad foods right? I am doing this for life so maybe a meal of Chinese once a month or so won't hurt me.

I did buy some thongs today at Walmart. Of course I wasn't looking and put it on wrong. I am such an idiot. I bought a pair of size 10 Faded Glory(Walmart) jeans. They fit so I guess I can't complain. I know the name brand jeans are sized alot smaller so I would have to wear a size 13/14. I hate that. It makes me feel fat. I only bought one pair of the jeans because I don't want to blow money on clothes that I don't intend to wear to long. hehe HOPEFULLY!!

Hello, I just want to give my 2 cents on treadmills. We got ours 6 months ago. I wanted one that I had researched online that was about $2200. Dh said no. So we got a Proform at SEars. Definatly got the extra warrenty because I knew it wasn't a great treadmill. It was &699 plus like $130 for tha warrenty. Well it died about 3 weeks ago. It got used 3-5 miles a day, 6 days a week. So Sears came out and ordered me a new motor, running deck and running belt. For free. Practically a new treadmill. It is a huge investment, but well worth it if you put the miles in. I'm glad I knew to get the service contract because we usually don't. All my research paid off. There are a ton of treadmill reviews online. Good luck!! And happy walking.

Thanks Angie and Laney, and anyone I've missed, for your treadmill info.

I've discovered that it Is worth it to get the extended warranty sometimes. Especially with vehicles.

Guess I'll go check the treadmills at Sears.

Has anyone seen the new Dairy Queen commercial? The one with the pregnant lady that starts screaming at the car ahead of them to move so she can get her icecream? I swear to god that is me sometimes!! haha

I woke up wanting to pig out again today. What is wrong with my brain? Do I have a problem with looking good? I must.

You guys sound like this weekend has been really good to you. Our weather here has been crazy too. It was overcast yesterday and kind of cool and last night got to 38. That is insane for this time of year here. Tonight it will be 36! I thought I lived in Louisiana.

Well, the deck is finally finsihed. I am going to get Joe to show me how to use the camera so I can send some before and afters to you guys. I is WAY bigger than we thought. I like it though. I think when we marked it out with a string the patio was still down and it kind of created and optical illusion. Now, I can't wait to go buy furniture for it. It will have to wait b/c we are out of $ now.

It is supposed to snow here tonight too along the coast. They say by the a.m we will have 1-2 inches of slushy messy stuff. Like it's not muddy enough. Angie, remember a little ice cream is okay, just not the whole container. Allthough today we had a party for my son, mil and bil all together for their bdays that have just passed. Well I ate nothing all day long because I knew we were having brocc. lasangna and mac and cheese and salad and bread for dinner. So I figured I saved all my points for that and I ended up having a sliver of angel food cake and fresh strawberries with coolwhip on it. But like I said thats all I had today, so I think I will be okay. Below is the broc. lasagna recipe, it is soooooo goood. And if you use the Campbells Healthy recipe soup and the low fat mozzarella cheese and the skim ricotta its not all that bad..... enjoy (I did) and I only had 1 small very thin slice of french bread with NO butter!!!!!

BROCCOLI LASAGNA

2 (10 ¾ oz) cans Brocc. Cream soup
1 (10 oz) pkg. Frozen chopped Broccoli
3 Carrots, sliced thinly
1 large onion, chopped
¾ lb mushrooms sliced
12 lasagna noodles
2 (8 oz) pkg. Shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (15oz) ricotta cheese
2 large eggs

· In 2 qt. Saucepan over med-low, heat undiluted soup and frozen broccoli until thawed.
· In skillet over med-high in 1 tbls. Oil cook carrots and onion until browned. Reduce heat to low, stir in ¼ c. water. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until veggies are very tender. Remove to a bowl.
· In same pan heat 3 tbls. Oil and cook mushrooms until lightly browned and liquids gone. Stir in carrot mixture.
· While veggies are cooking, prepare noodles as labeled on box, drain.
· In bowl mix mozzarella, ricotta, and eggs.
· Preheat oven to 375°. In 13x9 baking dish spread 1-cup broc. Sauce. Arrange ½ of the noodles over sauce, top with ½ of cheese mix, then all of the carrot mix. Add ½ remaining sauce, top with the noodles, cheese then sauce.
· Bake 45 min. or until hot.
· Let stand 10 min. before cutting

Sandy, I will have to try that recipe for me and the kids. I love vegetable lasagna. YUM!!!

I have been a bad girl tonight. I made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and Jay brought home some more creme eggs. All I have to say is it is PMS time and I am gonna use that as my excuse! Tomorrow is a weekday and it is always easier for me during the week. I will get on track and I will lose 22 more pounds!!!!!!

Kempy, I would love to see pics of your deck. Mine is covered in snow right at the moment. It looks like it is supposed to be cooler this week. Maybe I will be stuck on the elliptical all week. I actually lose weight quicker with that then I do walking so maybe that won't be too bad.

Noelle, How are you doing this weekend? I need you to hoist me back up on the wagon!

Well gettting the pics posted last night didn't work. Joe brought the cable that we needed to work. He will try to remember it he said. I really do like it but it needs to have some plants around it on the ground so that it doesn't look so big.

I didn't get up this morning in time to get to the gym but I am going to run when I get off. There is no reason for me to head home and sit on the sofa. I don't have to cook dinner b/c it will be just me eating it so I need to make sure thatI get out and move my body.

I love landscaping around my yard Kempy. We did a flower box with the paving blocks around the side of our deck and a light in the little lawn with a flower box around it. It looks so cute with the pool. Our pool has little specks on it so from a distance it looks like lillies.

This year we are going to fill in the rest of the yard and fence out behind our house(Where the neighbors are) and then I would like to find a way to do some landscaping in the field that the dogs wouldn't bother.

Do wildflorwers grown very well up there. I love it when there are fields of wildflowers. When I was in junior high they threw out seeds behind the football field and they are still there. It is so pretty all of the different type of colors there are.

Yeah they do. I have to finish planting my big box this year. I want to redo the stones in the box on the front of the house this year too. So much landscaping so little money.

Unhappy Monday: Day of Recovery

Burp. Excuse me . Good morning ladies. I am still full from eating too much of everything yesterday. It was storming for most of the day (I guess everyone had cr@ppy weather?) and although we did get to go out in the morning to the flea market (for the few hours it stopped raining), the rest of the day we laid around, played w/the nex X-box and ate junk. The day ended up w/a BBQ as usual. I have a family or carnivores! Hamburger patties, smoked sausage, shortribs. I did throw some portobello mushrooms on the grill which were really gooooood--but I ate too much of everything, period. Hey, we just made a new garden planter box thing in the backyard too. We filled it up with all kinds of potting soil, topsoil and the stinky manure. We're waiting to see how much it settles after the rain stops. We're supposed to get more rain for a few more days. It's sunny out now, but there are still clouds looming overhead. It's humid as heck.

I love Mondays, the day to get away from the weekend and get back on track. Happy planting everyone. Hope there's much better weather for all of us real soon. I've got to get back to work. I'll check back later.

I am having such a hard time getting on track again!!! I know I am PMSing but geesh!! I made these peanut butter chocolate chip cookies last night and YUM they were so good!!! I want more tonight! I am in a baking kinda mood!! Maybe it has to do with the freezing weather and all the snow on the ground. Me and Jay went for a walk tonight and just about froze to death. His face was so red he looked like a tomatoe.

Its nice that Jay goes for walks with you Angie!! Nice quality time. No-one goes with me, but I kinda like it that way, I get it done and don't have to wait or keep up with anyone. And I get to think about myday and my life and eatting habits.

Gardens? Well, I do not have a green thumb. I like the plants that you put in and they just grow!!! Don't need care. Thats my kinda garden .
