I do set myself goals, but I don't get too locked into them. Goals just keep me focused on where I'm trying to go, down. If I set a 4 pound goal and only lose 2, I'm fine with that, as long as I went down.
I've been working on making my goals more realistic for the pace that I'm losing weight. Like this is my first week back on plan so I know that I'll drop weight more quickly, so far I've lost 7 pounds this week (From Friday-Friday) Next week I might shoot for 3 pounds.
i am setting the monthly goal of 5 lbs per month. i tried to make sure that my goal is attainable and measurable. i think that weekly goals are not really feasible because its only 7 days, but 30 days is a good amount to set a goal during.
My weekly goal is not number related, but rather to a)record everything I eat, every time I eat something, and b)make the best decisions I can about what I put in my mouth.
I don't do weekly goals. Fluctuations due to things like, say, my period, or an epic bout of constipation, make the weekly thing unrealistic. Sometimes I'll barely budge for a week, then go down two or three in the span of a day or two. Monthly, I try to look. Mostly, though, I endeavor to make sure the number's at least going in the right direction, regardless of speed.
