I applaud you on drinking water and the research on how much to drink varies widely, is I would say that if you are drinking already, you are probably on the right path.

Personally, I do not really drink water, I do not have more than 8 oz of pure water in any given week. My mom and little sis hardly drinks water and my grandaunt died at 92, still not drinking pure water. I am not doctor and everyone's body is different, but I have lost weight even without drinking gallons of water as originally recommended. I do get my liquid from fruits, fruit juices, teas etc. sorry, but for me, water makes me want to barf.... My doc says that everyone's body is different as my friend keeps getting kidney stones even tho' she drinks a gallon of pure water a day in addition to other liquids.

I must say though that every now and then my body does seem to crave water and at that time I get it down..I usually put lime into it tho' in order to tolerate it. If you are not into citrus, then I do second something like mint. Good luck on your weight loss plan!

I will take a bottle with me when im doing something, that way you forget your drinking..for example, i drink in 700ml bottles and I have one as im getting ready in the morning, one in the car on the way to work, 2 during the work day and one in the car on the way home and wow 3.5 litres downed before even trying!

I get plenty to drink, not all water, and I do feel better if I drink more water, so I put a 20oz cup in my bathroom, and when I'm done brushing my teeth morning and night I chug a glass full. All done all at once.
