I have a confession . . .
The past month has been a mess!!! I have totally lost it. Most days I'm eating very well and being active. Other days my body hurts so bad and I'm so tired just walking hurts. This has been an ongoing worsening thing. It's really getting in my way of "getting healthy".
Dude, we all have those days but sometimes we just need to fight through them. I totally do not want to leave my bed in the morning, but I realize I'll only be disappointing myself and the others who are getting inspired by my motivation to go after something I want. Knowing is half the battle, right? You can do it, girl. I know you can.
There is nothing wrong with giving your body a break, just not too long of a break. You wait too long and you start over again instead of building up on what you've already accomplished. I had to take today off since I ache from head to toe, and I'm as fatigued as all get out. Tomorrow, though, no matter what, I'm exercising. Even if it's short.
If you find that the more you do, the more tired and sore you become, and it seems like more than post exercise pain (the good pain), and if it's really so bad that it affects your life, then consider a medical condition and see your doctor.
Pain like what you describe isn't normal. Are you working out too hard? Exercise shouldn't be debilitating--there's no point in hurting yourself in the name of "health."
I would suggest that if you've been exercising every day, you put some break days in there. Some people can only work out every other day. Or, if you've been doing really heavy workouts, you dial it back! There is no shame in this--this isn't a competition to see who can stand the most agony. We're not pro football players who have to play through pain to earn our million bucks.
The main thing in weight loss is the food. The exercise is secondary.
Hey, I think working out and eating great "most" days of the month is a pretty awesome track record!! You don't have to be 100% right off the bat to make big changes. Even HungryGirl says she aims to eat on plan 80% of the time. Don't be too hard on yourself. Everybody has those days! The secret is, I think, that not everybody gets back on track after one of those days.

Thanks for the advice and comfort. I have suffered from body pains since my early teens. It's always haunted me. I ended sports (which I love) because of it. I "feel" better when I'm active and work out but my body still hurts. The pains not a result of working out. My severe fatigue and falling asleep all over the place doesn't help. I have a sleep study in October. Narcolepsy runs in my family. But that wouldn't explain why I'm 30 and my body feels 60.
I do focus on my food the most. About 80% of the time I eat very healthy.

Have you had a thyroid test? As I was reading this post, that's where my thoughts went. I am hypothyroid and had some of these same symptoms.

I have a few times. Every things normal. Well, as long as I take a high dose of Iron 3xs a day and B12 as well. I have to eat a high Iron and B12 diet as also. Last time I went to the Dr all levels were normal as long as I ate a certain way and took my meds. All that together still doesn't keep me from being tired or hurting.
