January 2020 - Daily Accountability/Lifestyle Change - Everyone Welcome!
Hi, Everyone! Welcome to the Check-In! Let's make it a great month!
I want to welcome everyone to the Daily Accountability Check-In. Our goal is to stay accountable and on track by posting our daily food and exercise choices. All food and exercise programs are welcome. Consistency is the key to reaching our weight loss goals.
Introduce yourself or jump right in and tell us what you have been doing.
A Blessed New Year to all of you! Here we go as we travel this journey/challenge/battle of weight loss/maintenance/establishing healthy habits together as a bunch of chicks
Yesterday went well at 1220 calories. No party. I was doing my Zzzzzzz's by the time midnight arrived. Yeah, I'm just no fun .
I saw an interesting drone light display from Shanghai. It is worthwhile looking up.
Diana, Thanks for starting a new year new thread...I almost forgot...
Zallie, I understand what you mean regarding "debauchery"...sweet debauchery, fast food debauchery...etc...
I am at a 13 pound weight lost. I think I want to adjust my goal to be 12 pound wt. loss for the next 6 months. I resumed exercise: biking and wt. lifting and continued knee exercise this past year..
I had a knee injury a few years ago. I can go up stairs normally, but tend to walk sideways downstairs, so I am working on walking normally downstairs holding a rail. I learned that I can eat at a buffet, and be back to baseline weight two days later...
I biked last night, but I still need to do the weight lifting...
Have a good day.
Today will be busy for me. We are starting to take down the Christmas decorations at church today. I am hoping to get a walk in as well as all the movement I will get with the church project.
This year I am hoping to find ways to get in more movement on my hectic days. It can be done, I just need to figure it out and do it.
Last night: Basic stretches
This morning: Oxycise
Calories for yesterday: 1695 +
Weigh In: 195
NO CHANGE! Praise the Lord for that! I maintained!
Have a Blessed day!

1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
As Christians, we believe that God dwells within us. Our bodies become His home, and it makes sense that we should try to make His surroundings as nice as possible. The temple of God in Israel was kept immaculately clean and pure. Only the most clean and holy of men were allowed to enter it. It was revered by all. The temple was the most holy and special place of all. When we are told that our bodies are the temple of God, it is not an option whether or not we will take care of it; it is a duty. When we care for our physical being, we are making God's temple a holy and special place.
Today's thought: We diet not only for ourselves, but for God!
151.4 bounce up for net loss of 0.2 lbs since 123019
Disappointed as yesterday was good but that is how it goes.
Today is planned at 1173 calories and I have already done my weight training and some aerobic. Figured out that the calories that the wii fit gives me are about half of what my Garmin logger says I burned. I trust the Garmin more. I think my focus with the wii will strictly be for balance work and fun.
Zallie - I have done the same and, as you can tell from my weight, paid the price. Welcome back. Lets all make this a great year!
Diana - Early morning seems to be the best way for me to get moving but it is hard on busy days.
Rachel - LOL I fell asleep on the sofa - looks like around 1030 and woke up at midnight and went to bed so...I am right there with you
Nancy - I hear you! I was NOT expecting a weight increase this morning --grrrrrrr-- but we KNOW that consistency IS the key and that the bounces can't derail us!

DH wanted to use the holidays as a kind of “fat camp” with some intermittent fasting. Every year is different. Glad he wanted to get started back on a healthy track.
Diana thanks for the thread and your awesome consistency.
Hope everyone is doing well and has a great day and New Year!
Happy New Year Diana, Ciecie, Rachel, Zallie, Terri, Granny Nancy, Nancy, and Kelijpa
Wishing you all good health in 2020.
Thanks Diana for creating this thread.
Yesterday I ate like a piggie all evening. No idea what I weigh.
Today I did 30 mins on my old Wii-fit and have eaten a few nuts, a banana, and a salad with a bagel so far....
Exercising my waist area seems to curb my appetite, I must remember this!
Good morning to everyone! And I do wish everyone of you a Happy New Year Diana thank you for being so consistent in starting the new threads....sheesh I feel like such an old timer here LOL
So.......
WI down 162.2, not sure how that happened but if it will hold until WI on Saturday I will be a happy lady
WO, gym is closed so DH and I are going to go on our 5 mile hike, this will be the first attempt since his surgery. It may rain on us but we plan to go in an hour or so
Tomorrow I will have to get up early and WO at home, The gym does not open back up until 6am and usually by then I am wrapping up my workout and getting ready for a shower.
Zallie good to see you back! Rachel, I was right there with you on the zzzzz's Muse, hmmmm maybe I should focus more on my core LOL
hey kelijpa good to see you and that 2.7 will be gone in no time Muse, we all have evening like that but just remember it was only one night! granny we both know that we bounce up and down but the over all average ends up being a loss (most of the time) so we are back at it again! I have set my personal goal now to be 137.0 and I hope to reach that goal by next fall when we travel to visit my other daughters in AR Teri I think your new goal is SMART, = Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time driven ciecie, time seems to go by fast all the time anymore LOL
