Default Very thankful for this board

I just have to say that I am so thankful for this board. I've lost 80 pounds in the last four years and I still have about 30 to go. I've tried to get the last 30 off for the past year, but I start and stop and start and stop and start and stop. I come up with excuse after excuse, and any small weight gain I see after I've started to lose weight makes me think that I have failed so I give up altogether.

Today, I stepped on the scale and I had gained 2 pounds. Instead of freaking out and giving up on my eating/exercising, I remembered how much I have read on this board about water retention (for a variety of reasons), and realized that I am PMSing (sorry if that's TMI), so I usually do end up putting on a couple pounds during PMS and it goes away eventually b/c it's water weight. So, I'm tredging forward positively today knowing I didn't gain 2 pounds of fat overnight because I didn't eat 7,000 calories yesterday. So, thanks to this board. It really is a lifesaver.

I agree! I am dancing on the Onderland tightrope. I seem to alternate between 199 (yay!) and and 200 (boo) Aside from the initial flash of annoyance, I just put it out of my mind and stay on my plan, thank to the good advice I read here.

I need to chime in that I love this board too! I couple days ago I had a realy bad day, and over ate way too much. The scale has been up about 1.5 lbs. Normally I'd see that increase and give up. But 3FC has helped me to keep going even through bumps in the road!

Me too! I love this place! I don't know how people lose weight without it. Ok, losing maybe, but not maintaining.

I love it here too for the same reasons. It's an incredibly supportive board and it helps to keep me on track. I haven't found a place like this elsewhere.

Just reading about people's journeys make me want to continue on mine.

I completely agree! As I approach maintenance, I know I'm going to really count on 3FC to help me. There's such wisdom here!

I agree.

This forum is the best resource I have for keeping with my plan. It has made the biggest difference for me this time in not giving up.
