What I realized over the holidays is that decorating, cleaning up the house, cooking, snow shoveling, all those little chores really do help burn calories. I ate a ton, but I was also way more active than usual I think, which is what saved me.

The sum total is that though I was afraid I'd gained over the last three weeks, this morning's official weigh-in shows I lost a tiny bit! .2 pounds, but a loss is a loss. The real surprise was the quarter inch off my waistline though!

I was not on my computer near as much over the holidays and this appears to have been a good thing. Anyway, hoping to get right back on track and get rolling again with some nice losses this month.

I learned, I hope, that I need to really think of each maintenance session as a time where I can have a few treats, but maybe just one a day, not three or four or five a day! And I really have to stay active. The slippery slope is VERY slippery indeed!

I think a lot of us are dealing with similar issues! I was NOT GOOD with my eating between Thanksgiving and Christmas. New Years wasn't good either. I have gained some weight back. But, there's no time like today to turn it around, right? I'm trying hard to steer this thing in a better direction!

I planned to indulge myself a little over the holidays but went farther than I wanted to. I also tried to get back on track multiple times but slid off track again at New Years for about four days with family.

I was really starting to be upset because I wanted to do better but would start the day on plan and motivated but by the end of the day I was messing up again.

Well the good news is I have been on plan for four days now. I think what was helping me before was that I had months of being on plan and when temptation rolled around I fought it off by not wanting to lose my days on plan and have to start over. Hopefully I will build up a large number of days again and that will help me keep moving forward.
