I was forced to get some new jeans yesterday because we're somewhere cooler this weekend. Generally shopping has become quite a pleasant experience, jean shopping not so much. With all the different cuts and rises it's hard. I've never been able to wear low rise and all the others end up looking like "mom" jeans on me. I'm not a boot cut fan they look like bell bottoms on me and I'm not on board with the skinny yet (can't find the right top to pull it off). But finally yesterday my dilemma was no longer size or muffin tops because of the rise; it was down to just the flare of the bottoms! It was not weight or size related whatsoever. Finally I found a pair in between boot and skinny that I love and they're low rise and fit beautifully! I can wear a tight top with it with no muffin and if I wear a belt you can see it. It was nice to finally shop for jeans and not struggle with the muffin or feeling fat in every pair! Yay! Now to conquer the skinny jean...I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I have the body to pull it off...Maybe the tread will just go away and I won't have to worry about it anymore.
That's great! I am just starting to enjoy clothing shopping as well. Sooo many options, it's almost overwhelming but in a good way I need to redefine my style as it used to be whatever would fit. Just remember, if you don't like flare or skinny cut, look for the cut called "low rise straight leg"
