It's possible, my girlfriend lost 192 pounds in 20 months. She did WW and a TREMENDOUS amount of exercise. I'd show up and be happy with my 1.2 pound loss and she'd be losing 8-10 pounds a week. Of course while I was watching TV, she was biking 50-100 miles a weekend. Don't set yourself up for failure, but it's possible with a LOT of hard work.
Wow thank you so much for the positive feedback! It makes me want to work THAT much harder! I've been buying WW meals from our local grocery store, don't really have lot of money to spend for getting on the WW online, so was wondering, what meals should I eat and how many should I eat inbetween? Currently I have 3 meals a day, and approx. 1-2 apples inbetween meals. Am I getting enough Calories? I'm afraid if I don't take in enough Calories a day I won't lose the weight properly. Any diet plans for WW suggestions? I hope I'm not asking too much LOL.
It's definitely doable, but like everyone else has said, commitment is key. The other thing is the remember to take each day one at a time. If you fall down, get back up, dust yourself off and persevere. ^^
If you are eating those meals regularly, you are getting in too much sodium and not enough protein. You need a variety of nutrients. Have another vegetable and or a salad with chickpeas, etc. to up the protein. You need 2 servings of good fat a day - olive oil, etc. and 2 servings of dairy. I hope you are eating a good breakfast that contains protein. Protein keeps us feeling full and satisfied longer. How many points are you eating?
I agree. While freezer dinners can be very helpful (especially if you hate to cook like me), they aren't meant to comprise most of you're food intake. If WW is too expensive for you, I recommend trying Calorie Counting. There are lots of helpful websites where you can track your calories (fitday, thedailyplate, sparkpeople) and lots of calorie counters here on 3FC who can answer your questions. Oh, and it's free!
I think it is totally possible! I've lost almost 50 in 8 months, and I haven't been on program the whole time like I should have been. I have consistently lost each week, but I know some weeks I could have lost more had I been more dedicated to my diet and exercise I do forgive myself because I'm only human and trying to completely change the way I eat, and I'm really happy with my progress. I hope to hit 75 by the year end!
I did WW before I had my kids and was successful, but honestly, I didn't want to spend the money this time for meetings or WW online. I know some people mentioned online calorie counting sites - I use www.sparkpeople.com - it works fantastic for me. You put in your exercise, too - so it takes that into account when giving you a calorie range. It might take a little bit to get all the foods you like put into your favorites there, which does make it easier, but once that is done, it's super easy to track each day IMO.
Its possible. You should join us 280 Ladies! We are a thread in the 20 somethings forum! Lots of us there are working toward what you are, and we all need info and support. I'm sad to say I don't know how to post a link on here... but your a bright girl.. you'll find it. lol
Especially with your age, and your starting weight, you've got this with some consistent effort over time.
I think the only thing that flagged me was the guilty feeling. That should be a little cautionary moment to make sure you're keeping everything in balance.
Losing 100lbs in a year is possible but what's even more important? Having that same 100lbs gone in 10 years. Shoot for the long haul and you'll do great!

Thanks in advance, you guys are amazing!
Just make sure you are eating all of your points! Also, follow the WW guidelines about water intake and the fruits/veggies/milk/lean meat suggestions. Also, switch up your snacks so you get some variety of nutrients.
