love this thread... so i'll join in with a few!

I'll ditto Sakai and say I can't wait to go to a store and not immediately go to the back of the rack or bottom of the pile to find my size...

...to not be one of the largest girls at my gym (yes at 168 i'm one of the largest. ugh)

...to have more than 40 pictures of me on facebook as I untag most of the ones people tag of me!

...to wear a bikini... I'm 24 and have NEVER worn one... i'm thinking this is the summer! finally!! I CAN NOT WAIT!

...to be able to go out in public and not immediately think people are noticing my weight (i know they don't, and that i'm being ridiculous here, but I feel when people meet me and, say i'm with a skinny friend, i'm automatically classified as the chubby one.)

...to be in the single digits of clothing sizes!!! I'm in a size 10 top and 10/12 bottoms, so i'm sooooo close

...to wear a miniskirt! I'm not talking micro mini as I would never be comfortable in that and i'm not 17 anymore, but even a cute wool one that I would love to wear with some tights and cute flat boots.

...to wear shorts! i don't think i've worn shorts in... 10 years?

I'm sure there are sooo many more, but thanks for starting this post! I just got some great morning inspiration!

I look forward to having shopping options for stores that don't involve the name "Bug" or "Barn." :)

I look forward to buying a bra that isn't beige, black, or white, and that has lace and only two hooks!

Yes, yes, yes! I hate feeling like I'm in a suit of armor.

I can't wait for my thighs not to touch. I hate this feeling.

I can relate.

Not sure what size you are but Nordstroms has the pretty, lacey bras in large sizes. I think I'm a 34 DDD (haven't been sized since August so not totally sure) and I got lots and lots of pretty bras from Nordstroms.

Expensive, though. :o

And along these lines, nothing involving the word "queen". It certainly doesn't make me feel much like a queen.

Every year Agent Provocateur has a sale on their lingerie and every year I kick myself for not being at a weight where I could justify buying a nice set. It's always been a bit of an incentive for me to get where I want to be.

There are so many, I think the list could be never ending . .
Im looking forward to taking pictures with my son instead of just OF my son.
Buying the clothes I recomend to my smaller friends.
Being fit enough (in my opinion) to take my paramedics training.
Believing in myself and being proud of myself as easily as I am with the people I love.
Lingerie . . . . who needs to say more ;)
Pretty much making my outside match my inside

Ooooh. I LIKE that. That's exactly how I feel. Like my outside doesn't match my inside. I think that's why I isolate. People have misconceptions about me because of the way I look and it drives me crazy! But the more I lose, the better I'm treated. THAT'S motivation!

I know exactly what you mean! One of the things that annoys me (for some reason) is that people think I don't know high fashion, even though I'm really into it and know all the brands, etc. (not that I can afford them, but when thin, I can fake it with similar looks). They think I like dumpy clothes! That's not to say that all clothes in plus sizes are unfashionable, but you know what I mean. ;)

O.K. one thing that REALLY bothers me is not being able to flip over in bed. Sure, I can roll over, but how I would love to flip from my side to my back without having to lift and wiggle my big arse to catch up. Hmm, I think I will make this a mini goal.

TimeToTryAgain 01-02-2010 01:00 PM

Abey I totally agree! And not getting strangled by pjs in the process of trying to make that major flip. :)

Formerly it was being able to shop in any store I wanted. It's amazing the options that open up when you can wear regular women's sizes. Going from the plus section to the women's multiplies your options like crazy! But now my body is such a different shape, I'm having trouble dressing myself. Good problem to have though.

New thing to look forward to: I would like to weigh less than my husband. It's probably happened before, but not long term. Right now he's around 185, and he's 5' 10", so I doubt he'll go much lower than 170. I'd love to be 15 lbs. lighter than him.

i look forward to sitting in a regular public chair and crossing my legs. could be a fold-up wood chair, pull-out plastic with metal legs... you know, made for skinny people - and being comfortable sitting in it.

i also want to sit with legs curled up on my sofa or living room chair at home again. that used to be sooooo comfortable! right now it's really not worth the aches it causes in my leg muscles.

oh yeah, i ALSO look forward to wearing a winter coat in my car without struggling to get the seatbelt clicked. it fits, it's just a pain in the butt to do. you know what i'm talking about... ;)

time2lose 01-02-2010 02:49 PM

I am also looking forward to crossing my legs and being able to wrap a towel around me.
