what a fun topic! i, too, look forward to being able to get more clothes in a suitcase due to smaller size, and to not over-stress my closet clothes rod. will also like to go clothes shopping some time with friends who wear regular sizes.

Short term: I am looking forward to getting weighed at the doctor's office. Really! I was last weighed at 165 and the nurse seemed a little smug. I want to set the record straight now, lol.
Long term: Summer clothes! Shorter shorts and wearing tank tops without worrying about back bulge or jiggly arms. Oh, and the bikini of course. :) |
Another vote for keeping the lights on now! ;)
I can't wait to buy a new wardrobe!! I can't imagine having sooo many clothes that all look great lol! |
I guess its not so weird, but i cant wait to eat in public and not feel self conscious...oh, and the lights on thing sounds good too lol

I can't wait to take a bubble bath and have the bath water cover my belly!
before I got preggers last spring I loved this part of the day, it was so warm and comfortable, and now I always feel like i'm sitting in a puddle. |
I'm currently a fan of keeping the lights on, showering together and lingerie. I was at my highest weight (~290), where I've been hovering for the past year (~265) and when I was skinny.
You don't have to wait to be skinny to feel sexy now. Think like sex kitten now and go ahead and get your groove on. |
Mentioning the bath tub reminded me:
We have a spa tub with jets. The problem is that the timer that starts the jet is on the other side of the bathroom. The water level has to be so high to start the jets, otherwise it sprays up to the ceiling. I can manage to fill the tub enough, then start the tub, but once I'm IN the tub, I displace so much water it all goes out the darn safety drain and then I can't get out because the water will drop too low. So I have no choice but to wait for the timer to run out. I'm looking forward to displacing less water! |
Every single day I look forward to going to the gym! considering that I was once 534 pounds and loathed people for simply walking down the street "why would anyone want to walk just to do it??" I think its crazy that the gym is my second favorite place to be in this world....in my wifes arms is the first ;)
As Ever Me |
I can't wait until i have to buy smaller underwear.
of course...when does one know that it's time for smaller underwear? when it starts to feel like a hammock tangled around my legs or when they simply refuse to stay on? I also can't wait to use a public bathroom without having to feel like needed to suck it in just to close the door. or feeling like my thighs are about to touch the stall walls when I sit on the toilet.(TMI) |
Weird? I want some superhero costumes! Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Phoenix maybe even Vampirella.
I can't WAIT!!! I'm setting the goal now that I want to be Supergirl for Halloween 2010. That's totally doable! |
I'm going to be super excited about not having to crab walk sideways down the aisle of the plane to avoid hip-checking everyone.
(Yes, I'm halfway through my flights home and got a lot of glares on the way to Seattle) |
I haven't posted in quite awhile, but i definitely had to post here, if not just to remind myself why I want to stay on the wagon.
The first thing and biggest thing I'm looking forward to is (keeping in the vein of the 'lights' discussion) carefree sex. I mean, I have a wonderful guy who thinks he's with the most incredible, beautiful, whatever girl there is and so I understand that he really probably doesn't care about my flab but I I I care! I feel gross. I can't wait to have sex when I'm comfortable in my own skin. The bikini is another one. I've never worn a bikini and felt okay with myself. I've never worn a bikini in public as long as I can remember actually. Sometimes a bikini top and board shorts. And I'm also looking forward to another thing that was mentioned, eating in public without feeling self-conscious. Really I'm just looking forward to not feeling self-conscious, period. I hate all this extra body, I can't get comfortable in it. I hate lugging this weight around. I'm looking forward to being free. |

Jilu, because of you, I will consider going ahead, and getting my groove on. Life IS too short!
looking forward to going sleeveless, wearing an actual bathing suit while boogie boarding, shorts and mini skirts, being squishy only in the right places, seeing my collar bone, and buying clothes without trying them on first (it blowsmy mind that skinny people can do this). |
oooo! great thread! ditto the airplane scoot, short sleeves, and costume wearing. Also, I want to wear heels and go roller skating. both seem to hurt my feet too much at my size. and I want to be able to talk about exercise and eating right without people actually saying "you exercise?" lol wtf i exercise 1-2 hrs a day on my days off whadaya MEAN "you exercise?"
