To be honest, November and December frighten me healthy-eating-wise. I can't tell you how many times I would be on a good eating trend and then was completely derailed during November and December. This year I am treating the holiday season with caution; knowing that if I give myself permission to eat all the holiday food that I want that I will likely fall off the wagon. Since it is much much easier to stay on track than to get back on it, I am saying no to the unhealthy holiday food. For me, that is just easier.

This is my first holiday season dieting and I'm being tempted left and right. I have a plan in place and I'm trying to follow it as closely as I can. The basics of that plan are to stick with a low calorie diet and lots of exercise, with the exception of 3 days Thanksgiving, Christmas eve and Christmas so far so good 23 days to go though.

I think this is just the time of year where it's easy to get off track. I noticing more food pour into work right now and when I visit friends they are more likely to have tempting appetizers. It's really rough. On the bright side there's only 23 days left and then it will all be over...
