Echo, I feel you on the pre TOM hunger - I definitely have that too! And the bbq sounded yummy!

My day:

B: 1 mini cinnamon raison bagel with 1 tsp ICBINB, 1 banana

S: 1 piece homemade pumpkin bread (180 cals per slice - it was the first time I made it and it was super yummy!)

L: 5 morningstar faux buffalo chicken tenders with 1 tbsp ketchup, 10 baby carrots, 1 clementine

D: 6 inch veggie sub on wheat with cheddar cheese and mustard from Subway

S: 1/2 piece pumpkin bread, 1 apple

E: 20 minutes on the stationary bike, 40 minutes on the treadmill

So I was worried about going over my calories today. Apparently, I had it backwards. I'd been expecting to get home hours earlier than I did. Which meant that the dinner I'd planned went right out the window. I ended up having to fill in with something else. And in an effort to not blow my goal for today, I ate conservative. Right now, my intake for today stands at about 1400 calories. I was aiming for 1800. XD It's too late for me to eat anything heavy enough to fill that big a gap. And, seeing as I only ate dinner a few hour ago, I'm not really hungry. That being said... I think I'm just going to call it done.

I don't know what I'm going to do for tomorrow, work out wise, I mean. I'd originally planned it as a rest day, seeing as I've worked out the last two days. But I'll have more time tomorrow before than I will have on Thursday and Friday. So I'm considering swapping one of them out as my rest day. I think I'll have to sit down and reevaluate my schedule through the end of the month now that I know what hours I'll be working.

Oh, and Sunni... I was at Target today. I bought 30DS. XD I don't know when I'll be brave enough to open it, but I have it now for when I am. ^^

i'm making BBQ chicken in a crock pot today!! hehe its been slow cooking for 8 hours. i removed all the visible fat from the chicken took me ages lol. sprinkled it with garlic salt and black pepper and cayenne pepper.and then smothered the chicken with BBQ sauce and and threw in big chunky round onion rings. hope it turns out well. saw the recipe on a website. and it looked yummy. although i'm not hungry now , that always happens to me, whenever i get my TOM i lose my apetite, i'm always a hungry monster before i actually get my period. weird huh. hopefully will have an apetite by the time its done

but im excited about using a crock pot for the first time hehe its one of those old ceramic ones. i really like it :) gonna try to find recipes to make other stuff in it. its gonna be my new thing haha




Sunni i had some black forest cake the other day hehe i kept dreaming of chocoalte cake but didnt have in the house so settled for blackforest gateua instead. now i know why i've been craving it cause of TOM! thanks for explaining what sheera is!

Crock pots are the best! Especially for impatient people like myself. Actually, I wouldn't know. My mom bought a crock pot a couple of years ago and she only brings it out at Thanksgiving to keep spiced apple cider warm. I asked her if I could use it to make bbq chicken and she refused saying that it would stink it up and her apple cider would smell like meat. I tried to convince her of something called dish soap, but she wouldn't tell me where she hid the crockpot, so boo.

Mmmm...black forest cake. I used to have that when I was a kid. I haven't had black forest in years. Don't want to make it though. I can't stomach the icing, which is weird because this time last year, I could've worked through a container of the stuff. :p

Exercise--30 minutes fast walk; 20 minutes weights and resistance bands; 10 minutes stretching.

Breakfast: 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt, 1/2 cup raspberries, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 package Stevia; coffee; water

Lunch: Big mixed salad with balsamic dressing; 2 oz lean roast beef; 1 Joseph's pita; water

Snack: 2 Tbs. hummus, 1 cup raw veggies

Dinner: 1 portion baked chile relleno (Poblano chile, tomato sauce, 1/4 cup cheese, 1/4 c. shredded chicken, zucchini--this turned out great, I'll post the recipe in the Food forum later today); roasted cauliflower; 1/2 cup brown rice; 1/2 glass red wine; water

dessert: 1 cup fresh fruit salad, yogurt-mint topping

Hey guys.. quickly checking in on break .. Sunni, I just bought a new stainless steel crock pot last week at Walmart for 18$.. it is awesome.. I am using it to make gluten free mac n cheese with ham for supper tonight.. am so siked lol ha.. thinking I MIGHT do the 30DS tonight.. you guys have gotten me thinking bout it lots.. lol so may as well try it again.. I am curious about how I will do since after doing it the first (and only) time I was so sore for days.. but like I have said that was before i was more educated on the ins n outs of water retention n all the other fun stuff lol... Hey Angela, glad to know i'm not the only one. with regards to TOM-

but today i have been a hungry monster, kept eating all day long!!! eaten like 2000 calories! i totally blame PMS.

well since i've already gone over my calorie intake by 272!! not having dinner. although already kinda had dinner but an early one. so will just drink water for the rest of the night. i hope!!! but i dont think i will be hungry, as i'm full right now and its 7.15pm.

im sooooooooo craving french toast ! lol im a gremlin. but will save it for breakfast tommorow instead!


Hey Sunni guess what. im making chocolate cake tommorow! totally inspired by you hehehe. i figured i would make it tommorow, as my grandma is coming from america and my parents are having their friends over in the evening too and my brother might come. so it will get eaten up. so less for me to eat the next day haha.

inspired by your recipe, i did some google searches, and found a recipe that will work with the ingredients i can get. going to the grocery store tommorow to get the stuff. and going to make a chocolate ganache aswell to go ontop . cant wait! never made chocolate cake before. have made vanilla cake, upside down pineapple cake and fairy cakes, but never chocolate cake. so im excited :) :cb: :cb:

aww thanks , feeling abit better today. but still abit crampy so taking some asprin.

i have to do final checks and check the formatting is all right for the chapters and check TOC etc. i keep procrastinating on it!! its like im having a hard time to just say its finalised and finished. so just want to get that done tonight and just email the PDF file tonight and get it over and done with! i didnt get any work done yesterday cause of TOM cramps.

Eating is right on track today. Feeling kinda crappy about having skipped out on half my workout this morning. I got up really early to do it and just didn't have the motivation to attempt all that fancy foot work. Today was originally supposed to be a rest day anyway. I'm not sure why I'm letting myself take it so hard. Meh. My weight held firm this morning. That makes me happy, knowning yesterday wasn't just a fluke of circumstances. ^^

boy do i need to confess!!!

today food wise, terrible! must have eaten close to 3000 calories! i'm not even going to count the precise calories.

so yah my aunt came over and she's so sweet bought me flowers and chocolate mini cake treats for passing my phd. and then made her a chicken sandwhich, and then i ate one aswell. and then had some chocolate cake bits. and then had some more and then some more! gah!!! and then ate some more chicken bits. seriously bottomless pit today!!! im so going to pay for it tommorow, must have gained a pound by now!! gah!!

anyways ive decided not to make the chocolate cake tommorow, because 1) i dont have time to go to the grocery store
and 2) kinda lost the desire for it, after eating so many mini chocolate cake thingys. so maybe thats a good thing!

im still blaiming my over eating on TOM! :devil:

hope to do better tommorow eating wise!

i was listening to jillians podcast and she talks about over eating annonymous and how obesity is a disease. and i could so relate. and i do feel that i have overeating issues. and that i do think about food alot, sometimes when im a little hungry and its time for bed, i will lie down in bed and think about what im going to eat for breakfast!

so i think i might have a little look over at the over eating threads. i've been overeating recently and feel like i'm losing control over my food. so need to reign it in. i dont know why, maybe its hormonal cause its TOM.

also i think im stress eating aswell. in that im worried about my final thesis. could be a number of things. i think the main thing is probably due to my period and my hormones being all over the place.

I am excited to say I am down .6 of a pound today.. woo hoo lol I have done pretty good eating wise today.. I am only just over 1000 calories now so I think I will maybe have some popcorn in a bit.
Here is todays confession so far.. will reedit if and/or when I have my popcorn lol

Breakfast - 1 pc. 14 grain bread and yogurt

Lunch - Laughing Cow cheese, 5 Basil and Olive Oil crackers, 1/2 c. of grapes

Snack - 24g macadamia nuts, 2 ricecakes

Supper - Homemade Mac n Cheese with ham

Calories - 1,069

O.. lol and I whimped out of exercising today... sighhh lol
