Morning Ladies,
How's everyone doing? I don't feel good today, but I'm up and running anyway; I feel like I'm coming down with something, but I can't decide what! Well, the "big" computer went, as I predicted, but we've still got Mr. Laptop; I'm trying to hang on to this one so Mr. Fixit won't start tearing it apart, too. Bless his heart, he will eventually fix them, but he gets mad when it's not right the first time, and won't touch them for a while after they blow up. I wish he could leave well enough alone but that's too much to ask, I guess. Now the air conditioning is out---maybe I'll sweat some more weight off! Probably be two weeks before he gets around to fixing that....and Lord forbid we call someone to fix it.
Okay enough complaining! How're you all doing? Jen, how's your grandpa doing? Congratulations on that diploma!
Mama, it's hard not to eat when you get mad or frazzed, isn't it? I felt like the house was disintegrating around me last night, and I wanted to crawl into the refrigerator myself (it was cool in there, for one thing!
) Well, we'll just start fresh today; I didn't really over eat yesterday, but I haven't lost any weight in a month and I need to get started again.
JoJo, how're you doing? Are you off the front desk for a while? Our department got dumped on when a lady retired in one of the other departments--we're sort of "blessed" when people get in a jam--the powers that be have decided that our department can just do all the extra that's left over....like we don't have enough to do! Are you and hubby planning a vacation this summer?
Skeeter, did your hubby get home okay? Glad you got some rain--we haven't gotten any in ages--we have scattered showers every afternoon, but so far they haven't scattered in our direction . My garden went to weeds while we were on vacation, and I haven't gotten it cleared out completely yet; wet weeds are so much easier to pull than the ones in the dust.
Guess I'd better run and get dressed before the little mutts get up; they were very sad yesterday, poor babies; the director of their summer care at school was killed in a car accident Sunday, and they will miss her terribly...she was such a sweet lady. I think they sort of dread going today.
Okay, guys I think I will quit complaining and get busy ! Love you all, and have a good day!
Sally

Hello Y’all

Well, it’s only Tuesday and I’ve had the week from already. Came in yesterday morning, tired as the full moon is known to keep me up and I took my sleeping bill too late, and found out I was the only Envelope Division Analyst in. The puter system was up and down all day and I was PMSing to the hilt. It got to the place that when I recognized the phone # for the incoming calls I said: “Credit, Marybeth speaking, I’m the only analyst in today, I’m PMSing, and you better be nice if you want anything done”. It was good for some laughs and sympathy. Although a few heads did get chopped off.

Food has not been good at all, didn’t track over the weekend and by the time I got out of here yesterday all I wanted was several beer’s….so I had a liquid dinner along with some M&M’s. Trying to be better today.

Went to my niece’s play on Sunday with Mom. She had the lead female role in I hate Hamlet at one of the Northern VA community theaters. I am amazed at how her acting abilities have improved. Saturday evening my girl friend and I went to see the ‘YA YA Sisterhood’ movie…if you haven’t seen it go with your girlfriend(s) and make sure you have Kleenex with you!

Hope everyone is having a better week then me.

Hi. Hope your all having a good week. I'm just wanting this week to end. I am on vacation next week and I'm anxious. You know how time goes so slow when you are close to vacation. Blah!!!!

I really don't have a whole lot to tell you. Its just been really boring lately. I go to work and come home, piddle around on the puter for awhile, read, cook supper, watch tv and go to bed. I sure hope I can figure something out to do next week. Dh has to work so it will be a quiet week for me.

Sally, if they lay off state employees like they say they are going to and also all the ones who will be taking early retirement, a good part of those jobs won't be filled and will fall on other employees who already have more than enough to do. But I'm hoping that with the early retirement there will be higher position jobs open up that I can bid on. I'd like to stay right where I am but for more money, well, I'd not be able to turn it down.

Marlana, hmmm, going to bed for a week sounds like a good idea. I think I could stand a full day of it but thats about it. I can remember when mountain dew first came out. We lived in CA and there was a strip mall that had a big to do over it, a carnival and everything. That was a big deal for a little kid. I like mountain dew on occasion but I'm mostly a diet pepsi gal. Were you able to get your new puter registered yet? Maybe I'm better off sticking with this puter cause I'd never figure out how to get my files from one puter to another.

Skeeter, yayyyyyyy, you are getting rain. I'm doing a happy dance for you. We got some rain yesterday and really needed it. It was getting pretty dry out there. It just seems like this year tho, when it rains here it pours. A co-worker just got some storm damaged repaired and last night the high winds from the storm that went through tore everything down again plus damaged some other stuff. Dh hasn't finished the bathroom yet. It will sit till this weekend. He needs some more wood. So for now, we don't have a bathroom sink. Whoever came up with putting a sink in the bathroom was a genius cause I sure miss ours a

Yum, I've got the Food network on and whatever they are making sure looks good.

Well, I've got to get off here now. Take care everyone.

Morning Ladies~~I hope I can stay awake long enough to write a few words here. Hubby is on overtime again and we get up at 3 AM. I don't care how I handle it I'm always tired when I get up at 3:00 in the morning. I went to bed at 9:30 got up at 3 stayed awake a hour or so and the set in a chair slept until 7 got up and I'm so tired I could just drop somewhere. The money is nice but we both feel like a pile of crape all the time. So for the latest on the new puter is it is working pretty well. Right now the only gripe is that unless I unplug it from the phone line when I turn it off at night, it will turn back on during the night. YOU DIDN'T READ THAT WRONG!

~~Sally~~I wish I could say I was doing well in all areas of my life but I'm not. I'm tired and I eat too much. I'm in a rut and it's getting deeper everyday. Any idea's on how to get out of it???? Thank goodness hubby never touches my puter, it's mine and I do not want him messing with it at all. I guess he don't want to either. At least you having gained any weight in the last month. I don't thank I have either, but I haven't weighed. I hope your able to get back on the wagon and start losing again, your so close to target weight.

~~Marybeth~~Forgive me, but I must have slept through it, did you get a new job? If so I hope that you like it and it pays very very good. Beer and M&M's, that sounds like a well rounded menu. As usual if I was on that well rounded menu I would mess up and just have the m & m's since I can't even stand the smell of beer. Stressful day huh??? I've been hearing about that Ya Ya movie, I should go with my friend.

~~Jo Jo~~Your always just wanting the week to end, but if vacation is on for next week, it's ok to thank like that. I have a suggestion for next week and your vacation. I don't know if it would be in the library or not, but you like to read, see if you can get Dr. Phil's book and read that. I would love to have that book. Maybe you could figure out why you eat too much and how to break the habit. I'm going to get it this winter. I've never registered my puter yet. I'm trying to hold out until the 2 weeks are up to make sure I'm keeping it.

That's it for today, I've got to go outside and wake up. Have a good day.

Hey Everyone

It is still raining daily here. We are getting low amounts here each day and it is just perfect for the plants and helping to decrease the dangers of forest fires. Other parts of Florida are being flooded though. My dh made it home okay late Monday. The doctors have done all that can be done for his mother as she is too weak for any type of surgical procedures. At least he got to spend some time with her while she is healthy enough to enjoy it.

Marlana~I still haven't taken the time to call and set up an appointment to get this computer worked on. I keep telling myself each afternoon to plan on it the next morning, then I procrastinate some more the next day. It has been working half way decently lately which makes it easier to delay any action. I'm sure that it will start acting up again very soon. I am still OP but haven't weighed in several days. I am eating at the very top of my points every day and had an extra cookie a couple of times. I figured that I was at least getting used to staying on a meal plan even if I go over in points once in a while. I need to get in the habit of eating healthy and counting every bite.

Sally~We are starting to get a lot of repairs on hold around here too. One of the skylights started leaking two weeks ago and is still covered with a piece of plastic awaiting repair. Dh is up the road mowing a piece of property for a friend and is planning on mowing the church property on Saturday. He must have the skylight covered good because it has rained every day and no water is getting through it. It is sure darker in that family room though.

Marybeth~Hope you are feeling better and not still biting heads off. I am looking forward to that new movie. I just love to see anything with Ashley Judd or Sandra Bullock. A movie with both of them has to be good. Hang in there, a liquid diet once in a while is good for the body and the mind.

JoJo~We have been so lucky to get the really good rains here. It rains off and on with showers that are able to soak in instead of flooding the area. We haven't had the sprinklers on in over a week now. Isn't it terrible to lose a convenience that we take for granted. Hope that you get that bathroom finished soon. I think that everyone has had to brush their teeth in the kitchen at least once. I hope that you have a great vacation and get lots of rest and enjoy some quality time to read and play on the computer.

I am starting to hear some thunder in the distance again. It was raining this morning for a change but also supposed to rain again this evening. Most of our showers come in the afternoon. Y'all have a good evening.

Hi-lo!! I am trying the quick post at the bottom of this page. I just noticed it yesterday after I'd already used the regular reply page.

Told you I'd be back to post. I'm a day late and a dollar short but I'm here. Hope your all having a good weekend. I feel great knowing I don't have to go into work this week. YeeeHawwwww!!!!!

I am planning to making some bracelets this week. I made one last night using this fiberoptic beads with blue stars and red stripes on them. It came out pretty cool. I used red and blue beads in between the fiber optic beads. Maybe I'll scan it. I have some other beads I want to work with this week and I've got a new idea, beaded key rings.

Well, the bathroom is pretty much finished except dh has to fix a plumbing problem with the sink. Other than that, its done. One thing I want to do this week is look at rugs.

Skeeter, I know how bad you all needed rain there and I'm really glad for you. Lets hope it keeps up for awhile. The only thing is you get kinda tired of it after awhile. Sounds like you are doing pretty good with keeping yourself on your food plan. I am hoping that since I'll be home this week, I can read more on this food plan I've got and maybe even start back to exercising GAG again. I've got to start soon cause my clothes are shrinking.

Marlana, my mom used to tell me I was just wishing my life away everytime I mentioned I couldn't wait till Friday got here. Oh, today is my moms birthday. She'd of been 67. She has been gone 3 years now. Doesn't seem like its been that long. Your suggestion about going to the library is a good one. I bet Dr Phil's book is hard to get. I would also look for some beading books. How is your class going or is it over yet? I really should do something like that cause I'm so puter stupid when it comes to this thing. Although I do have a niece who just recently got a degree in computers, I guess I could call her and pick her brain for awhile. Is your dh still on overtime this coming week. Your right, the money is good but the hours kill you. My dh gets a little overtime every day because of the route they have him on. We like the extra money tho so no complaints here.

Well, I need to get off here cause we've got some places to go today and I need to finish up the laundry now. So take care everyone.

Hi all,

Just checking in, short weeks are no fun! Been crazy today. Weekend was OK but I'm really looking forward to having 4 days off. My Longaberger business had it's year-end last Friday and I more than double my sales from last year and met my goal of doing one more show per month. Made me feel really good.

Hope all is well with everyone hope to check back in later this week...if not hope all have a wonderful 4th of July Holiday!

Hey Everyone

Well, everyone must be very busy. I know that I have and can't seem to get on here as often anymore. I have good news though. I weighed this morning and have lost 4#. Hurray!!!

JoJo~I'm glad that you have finished that bathroom so that you can spend your vacation doing fun stuff. I almost got off plan on Sunday because we were craving pizza so bad. We have a very small town about 15 miles from here. It is one of those 4 way stops that has a business in each corner and that is about all. One of the businesses is a pizza place and it tastes really good, especially when you haven't had any in so long. Well, they don't open until 4:00 on Sunday so I ended up fixing one of our regular low fat/low calorie meals. That was best for us anyhow. I will get some Lean Cuisine pizza at the store tomorrow to satisfy that craving and not gain any weight.

Marybeth~Congratulations with your basket business. It is a great feeling to meet a goal that we have set for ourselves.

Hope everyone has a very good holiday week. Stay safe and have a good time.

Hey Everybody~~I've been mia for a few days. Decided to come in early in the morning to see if I could stay awake long enough to write a line or two. I have no excuses, just busy on putting corn and garden things in the freezer, and mostly working on lessons. I'm hung on one now that is about to drive me crazy. I got tired of working on it last night and just done my own thing. Of course I still have to do it right. I may just let it go another day....It's been 30 min. since I started this reply. I had to stop and figure out how to attach something from a CD for one of the girls in the PI group. Hope I done it right, it's the first time I've done that.

Skeeter~~It rained some here yesterday but not enough. I did get out of standing out in the garden and watering for 2 hours. Our pump is out again, damn I hate that. Can't use the sprinkler when your paying for the water. Hubby and I will most likely have to pull the darn thing on Thursday. What a job that is. Almost more than us old folks can handle. But we have to have that pump running. We don't drank it, just water with it. My new puter is working so good I can't believe it. I have never had an error message with this one. You better take you in before you warranty is gone. I set here with my old one and had a fan that sounded like a train for 2 1/2 years when I could have had it fixed for nothing. I'm so glad your on your food plan, just remember it is so easy to give into eating something you shouldn't have, but oh so hard to get back on plan after you do. Eating a bite over what your suppose to have is nothing. I'm talking about grabbing the Pizza man as he drives down the road. OH by the way, I have no female plays left.

Jo Jo~~Well son of a gun, I would have never noticed the quick reply unless you brought it up. Neat...I'll use that. I bet they got that down there to keep some people from attaching attachments. LIKE ME! Your on vacation, great, I wish I was and was at least a 100 miles from home so I wouldn't have to run home everyday to do something. I'm suppose to have a vacation around the 20th, but it will really be a hard week for me. I'm taking my grand kids camping, 5 of them if I can get Kassie. I still haven't been able to get hold of her. My daughter may have decided we can't see her anymore. I've always thought that day would come, it may be here. Nothing I can do about it. My daughter and a like of a relationship with her is one of the reason's I eat. On this puter when you put pictures in a folder that was on the puter when I got it called My Pictures. It makes a screen saver on it's own. I didn't know that. I was setting here at the puter when a picture of she and I and it made me cry. I act tough on the exterior, but inside I keep those feeling shoved down, way down. Of course once in a while they pop up. Guess what the first thing I wanted to do, yep..EAT. And I did, and the feeling went away. I've learned how to handle those bad feelings. The only hobbies I have time for now is this puter. You know I just figured out that you must have started writing on this board just after your Mom passed away. Did you not tell us that you had just lost your Mom? Sometimes it's turned into work. Have a good vacation.

Marybeth~~Glad you dropped in. I feel like I just drop in now. I thank this is the most rushed year I've ever had in my life. Glad your basket business is going well. Our 4th of July is going to be spent working around here.

That's it for today. Tomorrow is the 4th and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. I've got to do some shopping today and go and check on the lawn mower to see it it's done. The grass is going to be knee high if we don't get it back soon.

Happy 4th of July everyone.

I've got a freaked out puppy hiding under the desk as I type this. I've given her 1 1/2 of her sedatives and she can hardly keep her eyes open but she just won't conk out. So I'm typing this and going to get off here and hopefully she'll get in the tub and go to sleep. Dh has had to shut the bedroom door all week when he goes to bed or she won't let him alone. I'm anxious for the 4th to be over with. Dh has a parade he will be marching in with his veteran freinds and then later on we are going to our aunt & uncles for something to eat and then we'll be home before dark to try and keep the dog calmed down. I think I'll give her her sedative early tomorrow. Poor baby.

Marlana, its to bad your dd can't get her head together. She should not try to keep Kassie from you. I know Kassie enjoys being with you and your dd should realize that also even if she doesn't want to be there. I do the same thing, act tough but inside I'm a teddy bear. I've just gotten to where I am tired of letting people step all over me so sometimes I turn into a grizzly bear. I've been enjoying my days off. I've needed it really badly. But I'll have 2 weeks of work waiting for me when I get back. Oh well. It'll get done. I'm tired of stressing over that to. I'm just doing what I can and I eventually get it all done and all is well.

Skeeter, congrats on losing 4lbs. Thats great. The bathroom looks really good but I need to take a heavy duty cleaner to the sliding glass doors. They've got a build up them thats very hard to get off. Maybe I'll work on that tomorrow. I bought a cleaner that I hope will take care of it. I still don't have all the stuff put away yet. I need to buy some of those small plastic bins to put in the "new" old dresser (new to us) we bought to put in there for towels and other stuff. I just want to organize it better than the way it was. I've got 2 drawers planned for towels and wash cloths and then the bottom has two doors that open out where we can store the taller stuff. Its really a nice dresser and looks nice in there. We lucked out finding one with the bottom cabinet in it. We didn't even notice that till we got home and I laughed so hard cause it ended up being exactly what I wanted but didn't think we'd find. It looks like it could be an antique and hopefully the moisture from the shower won't mess it up.

Well, I've got to get off here and go get a book so I can plan to sit on the potty till the dog goes to sleep in the tub. She won't completely settle down till she is in there and she doesn't want to be by herself. Take care and have a nice 4th.
