5 hilly miles in 50 minutes. It was a gorgeous day! I could've worn shorts, actually. What a great start to 2009!

#1 here. Did my 5k this morning before anyone was up and about. Actually, I ran in the house for 70 minutes and if that's not 5k it's going to have to do. This was the first run in about 3 weeks so I'm expecting some residual pain tomorrow around the calf area but it's about time I get off the Christmas celebrations and get back on track. I felt good after running. Happy New Year everyone and thanks EZ for keeping these 5ks going.

I can't remember if I actually signed up for this or not, but I did get a 3.7 mile run in today. It wasn't my fastest run ever, but I felt pretty proud of myself for getting out there and risking the midwest cold and even some ice! I'm hoping to get in another run tomorrow.

Wink

Did my 5K today. I did it inside since it is about 15 degrees outside. I am envious of all you people able to do yours outside. I was doing WATP. I even got a picture. Funny!! It took me 45 min. with the DVD.

Hi--- #2 Checking in and I did it on the treadmill -- not to fast (63 minutes) but that is a start and I plan to keep this up. I haven't been to good with exercise lately so at least this will get me moving again! Thanks for keeping these going.

My first ever 5K results.....1:21:33

As you can see, I walked the whole thing--sometimes at a 24 minute pace, sometimes at a 30 minute pace. But I FINISHED, and that's all I care about!

WTG, Jen. You did great! We all had to start somewhere and if you keep up the good work you'll see a difference in a few month's time. I always walk outside because my knees hurt but I jog indoors. You should be truly proud of your accomplishment.

I missed the signup, but I ran anyway when we had some warm weather. First outside run in weeks!

Ok I have an official 5K time - 51min 9sec. Hubby and i went to the track at the navy base(didnt even know they had one) so I had a marked track and a stop watch. the first 1.5 mile was my Couch to 5k training of walking 2 min jogging 90sec for 20 min. Know that I know where the track is I can take my son and go during the day. He can ride his bike around or play in the grassy area. Yippie!! so excited. Oh my first 5K back in Dec was like about 75 min. I have an official 5k run on the 17th this month. Cant wait

Sheesh, I finally had to tell myself, this is a cold, not pneumonia, and it's been a week since it started! So ... I ran my 5K. Wooh boy, colds still count! Took me a long time to get over the grunting while exhaling

Anyway, at Thanksgiving I ran 3 miles (for the first time!) in 38 minutes even.

This time, I ran 3 miles, plus walked .16 miles (to and from my starting point), in about 39 minutes +/- say 45 seconds (I only timed by my alarm clock, no seconds). So, I'll call it 39 minutes even for the whole thing.

So for comparison purposes (using math):
Thanksgiving:
3 miles 38:00 / 5K 39:24 / pace 12:40
New Year:
3 miles 37:01 / 5K 38:23 / pace 12:20

Not to shabby for running while coughing and blowing my nose!

Boy, I have got to get a stupid stopwatch

Number 30 is Done , despite a waterlogged pedometer. Luckily I remembered my old route.
