Cool Need a daily support buddy

Hi

I have hit some bad bumps lately and have had a hard time getting my eating under control again...I really think it would help me if i had a "buddy" to report to daily who could make me accountable and focused...I didn't want to put this in an age limited forum, since age is not as important to me as just someone who would also like a daily check in/support...

thanks,
veggie girl

I'd be interested . I have the same problem but mine usually stems from the kids are constantlly eating and I think I need to pick at food while there eating . So having someone to check in with might help that.

Great!

Well, today started well...healthy breakfast and am going to head to the gym in a few minutes...How are you today? Let's do this
I know Friday is a kind of weird day to start, but since weekends are usually hard for me, I want to get a good head start today...
I live in the northeast, and the weather should be beautiful today, although tomorrow is supposed to be a total rainout. How old are your kids? I have a teenage daughter --

Take care,

VeggieGirl

Good morning....I see we tend to be on the computer around the same time which works out well.

How was your day yesterday? I did okay, although I have gotten in the habit of resorting to sucking hard candy at night to stave off the snack urge...Its not so great for my teeth but I think its better than eating mindlessly which I am prone to do when watching tv...
Today started out good, decent breakfast, and a trip to the farmer's market for apples and veggies..

I am so impressed that you manage to take care of three kids all under the age of 6! While I loved every part of being a mom, I do admit that my favorite time was when my daughter was home all the time (before she went to full day school which happened when she was 5 1/2). Enjoy this time...it goes way too fast...Now I spend alot of time fretting about how much I'll miss her when she goes off to college!

Today is supposed to be very rainy and windy...not a good thing for my eating plan when I'm stuck in the house all day Wiish me luck
And here's good luck to you

Sorry I missed you this morning and I hope your eating plan went well .The hard candy might not be good for your teeth but if it stops the munching it's a good thing . Mine wasnt so great today we went to my inlaws and they ordered pizza which I just had to have a piece of .But oh well tommorows another day .
I definatelly enjoy being home I worked for a while when the oldest two were younger but I couldnt take being away from them . Mine will both be starting full day school next year and I'm dreading it but still kind of looking forward to it . I cat even imagine them going away to college . I worry when they spend the night at the grandparents
I hope your morning starts off great !!

Good morning

Yesterday went ok; just an extra snack of pretzels that i hadn't counted on, but I was hungry, and I stopped at that, which for me is a victory; I tend to fall into the trap of immediately eating everything in sight after I ate one thing that i didn't intend to...

Having one slice of pizza is not terrible...I know how hard it is to stay on track when at someone else's house (particularly family) as you don't want to insult anyone, and thus usually end up eating something you didn't intend to.
Just stay focused and you'll be fine

Tomorrow is my day to go food shopping, and I have to buy the candy for Halloween I hate bringing it into the house, but I refuse to skip Halloween because I know how much I appreciated people participating when my daughter was still trick or treating. Do your kids go out? What are the big costumes this year? Not having little ones anymore, I'm out of the loop when it comes to that stuff...my daughter was the Barney era, which I know must be extinct (no pun intended) by now!

Have a great day...

Morning
It sounds like you did great yesterday ! It's great that you stopped yourself from eating everything in sight it's hard to do .
Pizza is my one big downfall so only eating one piece is a big achievment as I'd much rather eat half the pizza .
I always buy the Halloween candy I know I dont like that way I'm not so tempted to eat it all .My kids just go to the mall and walk thru downtown it dosent seem many people go house to house any more .I know Disney princess are pretty popular for girls this year (my daughter and everyone one of my friends daughters are princesses)and boys I'm not really sure my sons are going to be Buzz Lightyear & Squirt from finding Nemo.Barney is actually still around but not quite as popular as he once was
Good luck with the rest of the day !!

Good morning everyone...glad to see we've got new voices...welcome clarelou and sh315...

Yesterday went ok...I've been more hungry at lunch than at dinner lately, so rather than trying to suppress that, I've been going with it...in the past I've been afraid to eat more at lunch thinking that I am then leaving myself no leeway at night (which is usually the witching hour for me)...but the last three days, when i've eaten a heavier lunch, i simply didn't want much for dinner, and i have not snacked with abandon either...I've spent so much time fighting my body, maybe I should spend more time listening to it, and not being afraid to eat when I want to, instead of when I "think" I "should."

Major kudos to you sh315 for your terrific weight loss...how did you do it?

Clarelou, what type of work do you do on the night shift? I can imagine that would be hard where the eating is concerned, as for me, when I'm tired or out of my routine, I am very prone to binging...

Well, let's have a good day I'm off to grocery shop...keep an "eye" on my cart for me ladies, I don't want to bring home any bad stuff except for the aforementioned Halloween cand and the vanilla ice cream that my teenage daughter cannot live without -- she doesn't like chocolate...if I didn't give birth to her, I'd swear she couldn't be mine

See ya later,
VeggieGirl1

Good morning everyone

Hope your day was okay yesterday...I'm doing alright...had a small victory in the grocery store yesterday while standing in front of the freezer. I saw that they had the Edy's low fat peppermint ice cream, which only comes out around the holidays, and which I love to death, and I had the conversation with myself that I'll buy it and only eat a small serving each night....and then remembered how many times I have had that same thought, bought whatever it was, and then proceeded to eat it with abandon, or binge, until I ended up throwing it out just to get rid of it...so, I closed the freezer door, and walked away...

Of course, I did buy the Halloween candy, but I've tied that up, and put it out of sight, so I should be okay...i hope...

Take care, and have a great day...
