Same thing happened here -- I bought one of the fancy digital scales a year or so ago, and it weighed 2 pounds heavier than the analog (dial) scale I had been using. I use the newer one for my "official" weight, but in the back of my mind I'm still always thinking .. well according to the OTHER scale, I really lost xx pounds ...
Also, I love my Tanita scale, but the body fat percentages have to be taken a bit with a grain of salt. I find mine varies wildly depending on time of day, hydration status, etc. If you can measure consistently over time, it will show you if you are going in the right direction, but I wouldn't stake my life on the BF accuracy. It also varies according to how you program it -- my husband was insulted by the BF% reading, so he programmed himself as an "athlete" so the BF looked better.
