Hooray, an NSV!!!

  • Today I ran into a woman that I met after my first son was born almost 7 years ago.

Generally, if I see people I haven't seen in a while, I try to disappear into the ground. If I am not recognized, I will do nothing to draw attention to myself and say hello. B/c if I do, then I must resign myself to the person's noticing and registering my very obvious weight gain.

Today I was felt fit and trim and called out, "Christi-- hi!!" She took some time to register who I was and then we had a lovely little chat. This time I noticed she registered that I was looking darn good!! I didn't have a lick of makeup on and I was in casual work clothing... but I felt great and I think I looked it too!!!

For me, this is a huge non scale victory!!

    thanks for reading!
  • I'm so happy for you. What a rush.

  • Way to go Kitty! Ain't it grand? Nothing like that "holy cow" look on someone's face to keep you motivated huh?

  • Awesome!!!
  • I have to admit that at times, I too have skulked away from someone I've recognized. So I totally understand the awesomeness of what you did. Congrats!!

  • I am sooooo guilty of this. I do not like seeing people in fear of what they must be thinking. I am so self conscious. I am getting better as i feel better. on your NSV. They feel so good!!
