In general if you really dont LIKE a food its best not to force yourself to eat it, but yes you do need more fat. Even heart patients have a minimum of about 10% fat, and most recommend at least 15-20%.

If your dentist says no nuts, how about all natural nut butters? The smooth texture should be ok with your dentist, although I dont know how available they are in chile. Here you can find them made from virtually any nut you can imagine.

Mix a little olive oil, avocado in to your tuna maybe. Or occasionally eat the egg yolk (yellow part).

Since you are looking for fat to add it is good to add the good fats (nuts, olive oil, avocado) and continue to keep your saturated fats low (from meat, dairy)

And I trim my chicken skin with scissors too!

I try to stay around the 10-15% range with my fat. It does seem weird that you have a fairly high protein level but low fat level. I hope adding a little olive oil helps. One thing I add is ground flax seed. It adds healthful fats and fiber.

I trim my chicken with scissors too lol. I called my mom to find out about my dads diet. He had a lot of heart and lung problems. She told me fat 20 to 25% carbs 50 to 60 % protein 15 to 30%.

Shy Moment.. youīre great.. you always help me, thanks!!!!

So today my %s were:

Fat: 16
Protein: 29
Carbs: 55

yey! good for the fat part.. and all I did was add 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil! Tomorrow Iīll buy the nuts!

Ahh I know itīs strange the fat is so low, I guess itīs because most of my proteins come from canned tuna fish yummii (canned in water) which is very very low in fat!!

Anyone want to share their %s???

Well, I just learned something new. Or nutridiary is wrong.

I thought I'd look up the fat in canned tuna. According to them, "light" canned tuna is 7% fat and "white" canned tuna is 22% fat!!

I always thought the "white" tuna was lower in fat! huh.

I'll be darn. I thought it was too. I only buy one kind. Goes to show you really don't know unless you read the label. I just eat chunk light in oil. Serveing size 2.4 oz fat 6 grams 9%.

Raf

I am not saying I know best. Those percentages look very nice. You need to eat different meats. You can't just live on canned tuna. Even though it is just yummmmmmmmmmmy lol

hrmm... so I went and looked at an ACTUAL can of "white" tuna in my cupboard and it indicates that 14% of the calories come from fat.

I don't know anything about weight watchers sorry. Fit day is a site. You can add anything and everything you eat into the site. I use information off packages not fit days, seems more accurate that way. You can also put in the exercise you do. It will keep tabs for you what you are taking in. You also can set goals like how many calories, fat, carbs ct. you want to take in. Gives you charts to show how you are doing. I love it to make sure I am getting the four basic food groups in and I have a rough, very rough mind you. I idea of how much of things I want to take in. I can take a look on this site and see how I am doing.

You really don't need any of this with weight watchers I don't think. Their plan probably does it all for you, I think.

Heather
That is why I use information right off the product. I find one site can say one thing and one site can say other and neither are the same as the information on the product lol. Thank heavens I don't want this stuff that closely, it would drive me nuts lol.

thanks, shy moment
WW probablly do all the work, but maybe I'll give fitday a try. It won't hurt to get an idea of what % I'm using day to day.
Have a good night

That is one of the things nice about the kind of plan you are on. They do it all for you. Fit day is still nice even for someone like you to see what they are takeing in

Smiley.. Fitday is GREAT! I love it.. I donīt use much of their "foods" except for veggies and some meats but the rest I make a "custom food" and type in the label information for the product. It really is great! And you can put your weight every day and have charts and your exercise info too..

Shy Moment.. Iīm having chicken for lunch lol Iīll stay away from tuna for today!

Question.. is it normal for weight to go off faster the first two weeks?

I signed up with fitday, I was thinking alot about it and with the ww points, ww is actually not doing it for me as far as % go because I'm making my own choices as to how I use my points....they do recommend that you include at least 5 fruits and veg., 2 milk, 2 oils, and of course 6-8 glasses of water. other than that your on your own as to how you use the points. Fitday will at least help me to know that I'm getting the right % of fat, protein, and carbs.
Rafaella, do you have Tuna in a variety of recipes or do you just eat it plain? I like tuna, but would like new recipes so I don't get bored.
Also as to losing faster in the first two weeks or so, yes it's normal, I think it's diff. for everyone because of water retention.
Thanks everyone

Mmm Iīm really boring "foodwise" I just eat the tuna out of the can with a big lettuce tomato salad and only put some lemon juice a little salt and now I include half teaspoon of olive oil... canīt help you with that.

My grandma mixes it with some avocado and a little light mayo and itīs great! And my nana makes a "souffle" (we call it tortilla here, but itīs not the mexican thing itīs something completely different) with the tuna and eggs and itīs yummi!
