Never say never. I just had a couple pieces of Russel Stover candies tonight. Sometimes I have pizza or a donut or hamburger. BUT...I don't have pizza every week now, or hamburgers for lunch every day or donuts every Friday when someone would bring them to work. Now, I have pizza maybe every 2 or 3 months. Or like yesterday, I had a South Beach whole wheat crust frozen deluxe pizza for lunch. I have had a hamburger perhaps twice this year, and a donut maybe once in over a year. I might get a hankering for another donut sometime, and I'm not going to let it bother me. I'll just figure it into my day. I'm not going to gain back the weight I've lost over one donut, or a couple slices of pizza. I would only do that if I had a couple more slices and a second donut, and so on, until its all I'm eating again.
So if you can get yourself to see that you don't have to completely give up the things you love, you won't have anything to be afraid of.

You can try healthier styles of some of the foods you love even. Switch your pasta recipes with whole wheat pasta and your ground beef ones with ground turkey. Try making changes in how you cook some of the things you love, and simply eat less of them. But you don't have to completely get rid of them in your life.
