Once my boyfriend told me that I should just eat lean cuisine for all of my meals that that I would lose weight. Thats what he was doing so that he could lose **10lbs** that he had gained at Christmas. He has never had to lose more than that in his whole life! I told him that wasn't such a hot idea because of all the salt that is in those things and plus I don't really like them all that much. He gave me a snotty look and said, "Well, I don't know about you, but I'm trying to lose weight." I don't think I've gotten that angry in a long time. All he had to do was eat lean cuisine for a whole week and he was fine, I asked him if he would be willing to eat only lean cuisine for 6 months straight and then make it a staple in his everyday diet to maintain. He just stared at me. Now he thinks a little harder before he tries to "help."
He sometimes forgets that I've been overweight since I was born (13lbs at birth!) and that he may not be 100% qualified to tell me what to do....I'm glad that now my weight isn't such an issue between us anymore and he is very understanding after we talked through it all. Sometimes people are honestly just clueless and need a wake up call.
