I just tried a free sample of oatso simple I'm confused it looked like wallpaper paste, is this right? I had a little taste then threw it out and had jam and crumpets.

Yes it probably is. Did you have it with just water - in which case it will be like wallpaper paste. I have a similar one.

I dug out my porridge oats this morning in a bid to rid myself of the bran cereals. It was scrummy, had tonnes of stewed apple in it and chopped a small banana in aswell. Forgot how much I liked porridge! Hopefully I won't feel quite so bloated from now on.

I think I have a free sample of some yukky instant oats. They're nothing like the real thing! I've even bought steel cut oats which are lovely and nutty and a little bit grainy in texture

I won't get any of them, then!

I had boiled 2 eggs and unbuttered multigrain toast soldiers today and it kept me nicely full up until lunch time - in fact I didn't get hungry for lunch until gone 2pm which is very good considering breakfast was at 7am.

That's bizarre, i too had 2 boiled eggs and unbuttered multigrain soldiers.

I have a box oatibix, tried it for the first time, it will probably rot on the shelf, infact i should throw it away incase i'm tempted to eat some with a pound of sugar on top out of desperation, cos that's the only way i will ever enjoy it.

Never found a cereal I can eat for more than a few days, then I get very bored.

I used my bike for the 1st time in a week, the longest i've left it in a year. I think finding this place yesterday is partly why I got back on it. I'm now going to have a really big breakfast. Thanks.

bbl - did you not like the taste - is it much like the weetabix? I was wondering - although I have never seen Oatibix in the shops, I have seen it advertised. I tend not to like weetabix when it gets very soggy. I never put sugar on weetabix but for some reason I always want to have sugar on rice Krispies (though I never do it I just think about it!).

it's worse than weetabix, can't stand either of them. The soggy factor bugs me, and the fact it tastes like crap.
I try to have real porridge atleast sometimes, and I make my daughter eat it, it's the best way to get oats.

Anyway, today I had a food doctor bagel (buy 1 get 1 free at Tesco) Really rather nice with lots of seeds that unfortunately dropped off in the toaster, starting small fire. And scrambled egg with mad with REAL butter, cos i'm worth it.

I couldn't be bothered making porridge this morning - had shreddies instead. Feeling peckish now though, and I only had brekkie at about 10.30.

I love Weetabix, I used to eat them dry out of the box! Try not to buy them anymore though, cos they don't fill me up for long enough and it's too tempting to just keep having more, or to have them for snacks.

Nope, couldn't eat weetabix dry either!

I had a big mushroom omlette with tomato on the side with unbuttered bagel.
