Hi
Sorry i haven't been around for a bit :^: I only lost 2lb last week over my last 6 days before Management so still 1 lb to go :rollpin: to my target so lets hope i can lose that on my first management week. Please keep going girls as it's so worth it. My first week on Management is going well although it may be a different story when i get weighed tomorrow night:dz: ( i won't go into too much description as it involves food ) |
Morning everyone,
I am now almost to the end of week seven and have been finding food really really tempting, has anyone else found this? Had to go to a barbeque at my parent and the smell of all the food almost proved too much!!! |
Hi girls,
Becky I hope you've jumped straight back on after falling off that wagon and aren't gonna beat yourself up over one little slip!!!! Wilderhoney, 1lb to go - you must be so proud of yourself! WELL DONE!!!! Katie/Sarah - you guys still around?????? Had a really good week this week - starting to feel more in control of this and like I can actually last the 14 weeks!!! Just starting week 4 and another 4lbs will be 2 stone off - in ONE MONTH!!! Bloody ****- how did that happen???? But I tell you what it feels great - all day I've been thinking ooohhhh wonder if I could have just a "little" treat after weigh in - but you know what once i'd been on those scales all thoughts to cheat completely dissappeared!! I just thought - do you really want to sabotage what you've done for the last 3 weeks for something you don't really want or need!!! Blimey do I sound all sensible or what????? |
Well done Suzieb,
A stone in a month is fantastic, you must be so proud of yourself and just think of all teh new lovely clothes you can start to buy :) I am keeping my fingers crossed for my weigh in tonight, If I loose 2lbs or more I will have lost 2.5 stone in 7 weeks.....yipeee. I would love to loose 4lbs because that would mean that I am under 13stone and no longer over weight, and it will be the lightest I weighted since I was 15!!! |
HEllo Ladies
Sorry to be missing since last week. I had my weighin last Tuesday night and lost another 5 pouds SOOOO excited my total is 15lbs and over the stone mark. Can't wait until I have lost more and see a real difference in clothes etc...but I suppose that it is good that my jeans now fit and are comfortable aas opposed to squeezing myself into the as a second skin! So I went AWOL as I was away on Buisness from Wednesday am through to the weekend. I found it really tough being away to drink enough water (just managing 4ltrs a day) and and no desire to eat and only ate 2 packs a day...clearly not good enough! Anyway way in tonight though very very nervous! especially as my monthly visitor has arrived for an unplanned visit 10 days early! but I take it it is due to the diet messing with my system! Good luck for those weigh-ins tonight |
Hi! Are any of you lighter life ladies still out there? It all reads so well, and as someone who is sitting on the fence over whether to make that first 'phone call, I could really do with being inspired!
Vikki. |
Hi guys,
Had my week 7 weigh in tonight....lost 2lbs, a bit disapointed but on the bright side I have now lost 2and half stone with 7 weeks still to go. Reckon I only lost 2lbs as I havent been drink enough water!! |
Well done BigBird!
Well have to say that I am jumping up and down with absolute joy :dancer: .....lost 6lbs this week!!!!!!! bringing it to 1 and a half stone in 4 weeks! also had my measurements done and I have lost 1" off my bust (though I cannot see that at all) 3" off my waist and 2" off my hips! Seeing the measurements is an additional boost and I really wouldn't believe it except I can see it with my own eyes! So as usual setting myself short term goals, I want to lose another half a stone in the next 2 weeks so that brings me to a nice even 2 stone...here's hoping the wait continues to shift in large amounts, though my counsellor did say it may slow down to an average of 3lbs a week - but hey - that's still more than any other diet I have been on!! and with 10 weeks left that is still 30lbs to come off me! I look forward to hearing from the rest of you ladies and hearing how well you have all done! Bex x |
Hi Bex,
Well done on an amazing weight loss, I will keep my fingers crossed that you reach your target you set yourself. Had a little moment last night when I realised I had 50 days!! I can see the light at the end of this now yipppppeeee :) :) |
Well thank you for your underwhelming words of welcome, support and encouragement. I appreciated I joined in the middle of a conversation and apologise for that. If this is the friendliness I can expect when I join a lighter life group I might just as well save my money before I start!
For heavens sake it's bad enough making the decision to do these things but being blanked from the off is enough to make most people give up, especially when overweight and (usually) lacking in confidence. Vikki. |
:( Sorry no one welcomed you Mamatutu I'm not on LL so don't really post in this thread. It was nothing personal. :)
|
Hi Vicky,
Sorry no - one welcomed you but I don't log on every day so may only post 2-3 times a week. I'm in week 4 of lighter life and have lost 1 stone 10 lbs in three weeks. There's no doubt that this diet is hard but once you start to see the weight come off it really spurs you on. It is expensive 66 quid a week - but you won't need to buy any other food for yourself and if you're like me and used to spending about 40 quid a week on food and then add on another 50 quid for a night in town then you can be quids in. I've got more money left in the middle of the month than I have for ages!!! You get your packs every week from your counsellor and get to choose sweet/savoury and bars (after the first week) and drink minimum 4 litres water a day. Your first will be the hardest and I found the first two days were quite bad for headaches etc but once you're in ketosis this goes and I haven't had a headache since. Not sure how much you know about LL so just ask away - I will be back online at some point over the weekend. |
Helloooo everyone and especially a warm welcome to mamatutu :D - I think suzieb has given the main details but please ask away any questions!
We just got back from our 2 week holiday in France and I just thought I'd pop in to say HI very quickly, haven't had time to read all your messages yet but I hope everyone is doing really well and feeling great. I managed to abstain throughout our entire holiday, despite having the great temptation of the French food and wine. I have returned home and found that all my clothes are now very loose and so will have to go clothes shopping again ;) . Weigh-in is Monday so will have to wait until then to see how much I've lost. Slight blip.. I bought a black coffee and took a great big gulp only to find out that it was very sugary, I had obviously pressed the wrong button on the machine. So I'm wondering if that will have taken me out of ketosis.. will find out on Monday I guess. Take care everyone and will read your messages properly over the weekend!! Sarah xx |
Hello People!
Very sorry Mamatutu about being wrapped up in my own joy about losing 21lbs on lighterlife for only 4 weeks! Terribly seflish of me! :o But I can say that LL works, and yes it is difficult but gets easier as long as you are determined and want it to work. Sarah well done you on holiday  (shame about the coffee but I'm sure you realised pretty quickly!) I am sure you will see the difference on Monday's weigh-in after 2 weeks away. Have a good weekend everyone! |
Welcome Mamatutu, I am sorry I did'nt say hello, I only get a chance to update this at work and we have some weired internet connect that dosent refresh pages for ageessss.
I hope you decide to do Lighterlife, it is so worth it. I am just coming to the end of week 8 and have so far lost 2 and 1/2 stone. I am keeping my fingers crossed that week 8 weight loss will be more than 2lbs as it will mean that I will under 13 stone for my birthday this weekend. |
Good luck everyone who has a weigh-in tonight!
|
just a quickie as i'm off to bed......
hope everyone has had a good week - i actually feel better and stronger about completing my 100 days than I have previously.... just entered week 5 and feel calmer, less stressed and i'm sleeping better - does anyone else feel better???? Really must have been lacking in some vits and minerals to feel this well on foodpacks alone. happy birthday for this weekend bigbird!!!!!! TTFN P.S. Don't think mamatutu is speaking to us! Hee hee - shouldn't laugh but do think she was over reacting a bit? |
Morning Suzieb,
Thanks for the birthday wishes, I slept like a long after week 3, but I am only just getting energy to go out and exercise (week 8+) utill now I have just come home and had little more energy than to sit and read a book or watch TV. I had my end of week 8 weigh in last night......4lbs off yippeee I am now 12st 11lbs and only 3lbs from loosing 3 stone - talk about chuffed with my self. Hows everyone else doing? |
Morning all
Happy Birthday BigBird! And fantastic weightloss! Although I'm (like Suzieb) feeling alot more positive about this weightloss and the results, hearing your news BigBird is tremendously motivational! I would like to be where you are at 8 weeks:D I will be overwelmed if I lose 3 stone but I really want to lose 4 and if I got close to 5 then I will be the happiest bunny in the world! Anyway I lost 3.5lbs in my weigh-in last night so pleased with that and I am only 2.5lbs from 2 stone so next week (7) should be at the 2 stone mark |
Bexstar that is fantastic news, keep up the hard work it is so worth it
We have one woman in out group that has lost 3st 1lb in six weeks!!!! Which is amazing. I am keeping my fingers crossed that next week I loose 3lbs or more which then leaves me 5 weeks to loose another stone before teh 14 weeks are up |
All gone quiet from everyone...you still there? just wanted to wish you all luck for your weigh-ins tonight.
Bex xx |
Hi Bexstar,
It is a bit quite in here :( How are you getting on? |
Hi Bigbird!
I'm doing really well, had a fantastic weight loss week of 7.5lbs! :carrot: can't say that I have done anything different to any other week but hey I'm not compaining! so I have just got over the 2 & 1/2 stone mark and I am half way through the programm so this has gone beyond my expectations. If I lose another 2 &1/2 for the next half of the program I will be at my ultimate goal weight that I haven't seen since I wil 21! I am sure it will slow down and I am not pinning my hopes on the same massive weightloss but anything off is better than on! :D How are you? |
O my god well done, you must be over the moon :)
I only lost 2lbs this week but that means going into week 11 I have lost 3stone 4lbs so I cannot be too disapointed |
hey ladies,
bexstar and bigbird - fab losses!!!! bexs 7.5lb in one week - wow wee thats fab!!!! keep going at that rate and you could easily have another 2 stone off! I'm almost half way through and i'm hoping for another 2 stone total - that would get my bmi to under 40 and to the lowest i've weighed for about 7 years!!!! can i ask what you guys plan to do after your 100 days - i will still have a lot of weight to loose but i keep swinging between joining sw/ww and learning to eat right and continuing for longer..... it's also the money - the 14 weeks will have cost us nearly a grand and not sure if i want to spend the same again??? anyhow dillemmas dillemmas.....not gonna decide properly til week 13!!!! TTFN and hope you all have good losses this week! |
Hi Suzieb,
After the 14 weeks I am going to go into maintaince - my BMI is now healthy and I am wearing size 12 jeans (I still get a big giggly putting them on) I am also going to use the "Diet Plate" to help me with portion control. What you could do is move to Cambridge for teh rest of your weight loss as the plan is similar to LighterLife but only costs £33 a week |
hey hun,
must admit didn't check your ticker before i posted that!!! Silly Moo!!! size 12 jeans - fab going girl....... have thought about cambridge but i'm starting to get stressed about xmas and the fact that my social life will need to remain non existent for the next few months!!!!!! it's not that I want to binge but just eat healthily and enjoy xmas dinner and i only go out out about once every couple of weeks but already the invites have dwindled to virtually nil and it's stupid but i keep thinking what if my mates never ask me out again?????????????? I finish LL at the very end of november and will decide there and then what to do - part of me is hoping that i'll feel strong enough to succeed for the rest on ww/sw and that way i can incorporate social events??? decisions decisions.... |
Hi Suzieb,
I would try and stick with it. I have been to a 5 day festival, 2 weddings, dinner's out, to the pub with mates and out clubbing and stuck with LighterLife 100%. Just because you are doing LighterLife your social life dosent have to stop :) |
Newbie
Hi, I'm Caz and I'm on Day 6 of LL.
I've got about 6 stones to lose to be at my absolute ideal weight. Had my weekly stop-in on Day 4 and I'd lost 7lbs! I know it won't keep up like that but it encouraged me all the same :) I'm having good days and bad ones. Yesterday was bad. I couldn't face water and so was hungry, grumpy and headachey all day.Today is better so far... Glad to have found you all! Caz :) |
Hello Ladies and welcome Caz
Good to get the conversation going again! Had a poo weightloss this week of 0.6lbs! but hey I had such a bumper week before I haven't let it get me down, plus I was away in Jo'Burg for 4 days and really struggled to drink 3-4 ltrs of water a day so I think that has something to do with the lack of weightloss plus monthly visitor arrived a week early...always a nice occurance! :?: I am extending my program by 1 week to end the last day of November. I will then go on sensible eating plan etc and not binge over christmas etc. I'm feeling pretty positive as I can get into clothes I haven't seen for that long that they have come back into fashion!!!! Really greedy though to lose 4 stone, but the good news is that my BMI is at 30 so 1 more point and I will be over weight instead of obese! never thought of myself as obese just fat or cuddly! ;) |
Welcom Caz,
The first week is the worst, keep going and as soon as you get a headache take a headach pill - it was teh best advice I was ever given. I am now into week 12...yipppeee I never though I would make it this far. Bexstar I too a rubbish weight lost this week 1lb - but better off than on :) So nice to see people posting again :) |
That's timely advice, as I've got another headache now and I'm just coming to the end of my lunchbreak, so paracetamol here I come!
Have my end of Week 1 weigh-in tonight. It's encouraging to know it gets a bit easier as I'm feeling a bit fed up of it today.... every time I close my eyes food is dancing in front of me!!! |
good luck for tonight Caz! I found myself getting more and more determined to stamp food thoughts out of my brain as I really want this to happen and after all the diets I have been on this one needs to work for my own sanity!
|
Thanks.... another 3lbs, so brings my first week total weight loss to 10lbs!! V pleased with that. :D
And though it's been a hard week at times, it's been no harder than 4 or 5 weeks would have been on WW or something where it comes off slower.... plus the group sessions hopefully will start to change some of my thinking patterns... here's hoping!! |
Morning CazF,
Well done with teh 10lb weight loss, trust me the weeks do get easier, but you can get addicted to watching food programs! |
Fantastic first weight loss Caz :carrot:
I agree with BigBird it does get easier but you notice how much food used to feature in your life, including how many programs are on TV etc. You will also start to notice how much other people eat and realise how much you used to eat .... well I have and realised that I grazed pretty much throughout my waking hours! Also my power of smell for food is intense...I can smell a dish and diagnose it at a 100 yards:dizzy: Have a great weekend ladies  |
Yes, smell is so hard. I think that's the hardest thing so far. Popped into Sainsburys yesterday to get some house cleaning bits and nearly sank to my knees at the gorgeous smelling strawberries by the door, LOL!!
Still, we keep going. Made my hub a meal today; first one in a week, just wasn't sure I could cope with it before. But I did. Luckily I don't have to cook for kids as we've only got cats, and I'm not desperate enough for Whiskers yet!! This morning was hard - we usually lounge in bed with papers and breakfast for hours. Was hard to just have a shake. But I'll get there! It's so encouraging to see those of you who have been on this for a while keeping on going - thankyou! |
Just checking in again to say had my midweek pop in last night and another 3lbs lost, so 13lbs in 11 days so far!
Finding it a bit easier so far this week than last week, not sure exactly why but hey, I'm not complaining! And I got into a pair of trousers this morning I haven't worn in months - only just, but I'm still in them!! :D |
Hi CazF,
Well done you must feel great. My weigh in is tonight and I might ask if I can come of early as my BMI is 23 and don't feel that loosing any more is necessary, but I will have to wait and see what my councilor says. |
How did it go Bigbird?
