Oh I heard about lightlife, my best friends mums doing it and has already lost something around 84 pounds and have dropped 4 dress sizes and has only been doing it for 6 weeks. I am going to have to try it, sounds to good to be true though!

Talking LighterLife - New comer

Hi All

My name is Bex and I started lighterlife last Tuesday evening (my first session and food replacement started Wednesday), I had a stop-in with the counsellor on Sat early morning to find out that I have lost 5.3lbs! I am totally amazed! I can't wait for tomorrow night to see what the total weightloss for the first week is going to be.

So far I am coping without food well and seeing as it has been a busy week of important family birthdays which has meant meals out and pubs watching other people eat hasn't been to bad but maybe that's because I am in the highly motivated zome at the moment! - Hope this doesn't change???!!!

For those of you who are doing exceptionally well (and well done to you all!) and have been on this for a little while - do you get sick of the taste of the meal packs? and do you have any suggestions as to how the packs can be prepared to make them different/interesting?

Bex

Yea another tall girl

Here's to all of us being nice and slim for christmas.

Ooo if anyone wants some ideas on what else you can do with your food packs have a look at this guys blog:

http://mylighterlife.iblog.com/category/247/1608

The crisps are good as are the cookies. You have to remember however that you can only "cook" one food pack a day.

My weigh in for the end of week 4 is tonight so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Sarah how did you do last night?

You are making me feel short at 5ft 8 !

I am going onto your blog in a mo Michelle looking forward to the recipes and your 4 weeks so far. Good luck for tonight!

I have my first weigh-in tonight after a week, had the stop-in on saturday which was a real boost and I could not believe my eyes when I saw the scales. Although have to stay that I am a little nervous about tonight; I have been very strict and averaging 5ltrs of water a day (though getting fed up with weeing at 3am!) however I have 'come on' today ! I am pleased I have resisted the usual delights on the lead up ti this time of the month - boy it has been tough especially this morning when I have had 3 of my food packs by 1pm!

Look forward to hearing how Katie got on in her first meeting and Michelle for your 4th week!

Hellooo everyone, gosh there are so many of us buddies now I can't keep up with who is who!!!

Good luck to the newbies and good luck to those with iminent weigh-ins! I had my 4th weigh-in last night and lost another 4lbs.. that's a grand total of 23lbs in 4 weeks. Needless to say I am absolutely delighted and feel FANTASTIC!! My counsellor has said that I probably won't be staying for the full 14 weeks which is great as we're going to be moving away from the area at about 10/12 weeks anyway so am hoping to go straight onto the management stage when we move house.

Someone asked do you ever get bored of the foodpacks.. for me, no is the answer to that. There are recipes so you can make them a bit more interesting but to be honest I don't find it a problem anyway.

Anyway, good luck with your weigh-ins everyone and can't wait to hear how you've done!!

In my first week I have lost 8.1lbs!!!!! wow what a boost this is to continue and get into that slinky party dress for Christmas! Got my pedometer today so need to get my butt into action to do 10000 steps a day, I think the number of loo visits will help

Hope the rest of you got on well at your weigh-ins last night......

Hi girls,
I too have just started lighter life and while searching the web came across you lot - what a find!!! It's great to find some additional support!
I'm nearing the end of day 2 and am already beginning to hate the soups but hey ho it's a means to an end and it's got to be done!!!!!
Is everyone else running to the loo every 20 minutes - it's ok at the minute as i'm off work and having a bit of a spring clean and tidy up so i'm in the house or pretty near but i don't think i'll be able to drink as much at work - i'll have to keep running out of meetings for the loo!
I've got my first pop in on fri night and i'm hoping after 4 full days that i'm in ketosis and have lost a few pounds. Not looking forward to the smelly breath mind and hope it's not too bad.
Hope you all do well this week - hugs and kisses to us all for been so bloody brave as to do this!

Hi Suzie, its good to have another buddy! I just began day two and like you for the first time in my life keep wondering when my breath will get smelly. I brought a goldspot from Superdrug, it was about 99p, and I cant wait to need to use it lol!!!
Big Bird your weight loss is fantastic, well doe you must be soo chuffed with yourself. Good luck drinking all your water and using those lovely porterloos!!!!
Well so far I have discovered I like Rasberry, and Vanilla shakes, had a chocolate one hot and it was okay but not great. The chicken soup was a bit yuck, no matter how much I blended it i couldnt get all the lumps out and then it went all frothy on the top too so that made it not very hot. How do you guys make yours?
Yesterday I went to a water park with my nieces and nephews we stayed in the water for 3 and a half hours and when we got out they all had a Mcd's and i was actually salivating but managed to stick to my chicken soup!
Well I am at work today on a late so it should be fun trying to discretly make up my packs.
Oooooooo I just want this first week over!!!

Hello Ladies

Sounds like everyone is doing really well, those that of you that have been on it a while longer are a total inspiration - keep up the good work!

I am in my second week, I found on the first few days of the first week everything was great and easy, then I got to the point I could not stomach chilli soup or rasberry shakes ...strange as these two flavours are normally my favourite I will go back to them again and see how I get on.

With regards to the soup; I make mine in an oversized mug, put the powder in, boil the kettle then add a little bit of water to the powder to make a paste and keep adding a little and mixing until it is a runny paste then add the rest of the water to taste. See if that works for you. I don't use any blending type device for the soups but I do for the shakes.

I was warned about stinky breath and I am constantly armed with 'gold spot' mouth spray in my bag...however I have not needed it yet..I think! mind you could kick in soon.

Once you girls have had your first stop-in then this will really boost you and makes the sacrafice worth while, and I am ever hopeful that being on this will permanently stop my old habbits of grazing throughout the day!

I have a pedometer as of my second meeting and need to do 10,000 steps a day...hmmm....didn't realise how much I didn't move in the day at work I only managed 6,000 steps yesterday and most of those were from taking the dog out for a walk in the evening! but the good news is that I have managed just over 4.5k steps so far today (but I did take the dog out this morning and planning to tonight, which means he will get another 1-2 walks a day on top of his 3 walks already....he's already fit and healthy unlike one of his owners!)

I have to say that I thought going to the loo so many times a day would be a boost to the number os steps, but then my office isn't that big and the loo isn't that far...which is a good thing sometimes!

Anyway I think I have gone in to ramble mode....sorry!

Good luck for the week and stick at it it works
