Kylie/Frus - I'm tempted to give this a try because I know I never eat enough protein since I hate cheese, eggs, meat etc - I try and get sufficient from cereal, nuts and pulses, but it can get a bit boring.
My question - how many grams of protein would an 85 cal scoop provide if it was mixed with skimmed milk?
Clareh..I tried making protein shakes just with water..they were then I found that if I add a load of ice cubes and throw it in the blender I get a nice thick frothy "milkshake" not done it for months though its a bit too cold
Janey..they all differ but it will say in the nutritional info on the label..the skimmed milk will add about 9g per cup/250ml.
I usually mix mine with milk to make a nice smoothie, or bake with it, or somethimes put it in porridge, but I usually mix it up with milk for a "meal" post kickboxing
Hi,

Ooops..got mine out of the cupboard yesterday and one of them expired last November won't kill me will it? think it had about 18mths on it when I bought it told you it had been a long time rest are good until May I think so i'd better get using them
Is it possible to drink too many protein shakes in a day? How many do ya'll have a day? I had 3 today and think its too many. Was thinking of having about 2?
Is it good for you? Or at least not bad. All my friends keep telling me its bad. I dont do overly heavy weights, but i do them 4 times a week and my cardio is swimming 2 hrs a day if possible. Any help is welcomed
I would only have one day personally, and get the rest of my protein from other sources. meat, eggs, legumes have other important vitamins and minerals that you won't get from shakes.
They're not bad for you but they're not the BEST source of protein, they are just a convenient source of protein. I usually have them when I need a meal away from home (which is just about every day!)
