6.2 miles.

I didn't run today but tomorrow I have "4 miles easy" on the schedule. Luckily my legs actually still feel in one piece after yesterday's 8 mile effort!

I need some more running shoes when I actually summon up the courage to run on a treadmill in the running shop and have my style analysed. No matter how far I run I'm still worried they'll analyse it as "deluded fat chick"!

A) You are NOT fat
B) You run fast enough to join a running club
C) The people in the running shop want to make money and it's not in their interests to belittle you! If I can go in and be measured, you can, and I am waaaaaaaayyyyyy fatter than you

Maz, I don't know if I'll be running, by that stage i hope to be but I may be power walking or half and half, we'll see! You are more than welcome to join us!

I know, I have told myself precisely those things but still didn't "get round" to going up there on Saturday. Maybe on Wednesday for late night opening?

I went to get my stride measured too and was mightily scared also! I know how you feel!

But then I thought if I didn't go I'd be wrecking my feet, legs, hips etc running in crappy shoes, so it's worth your while! Also treat yourself to a cute new running top while you're there as a reward for going

I already have a cute little size 10 running top (well, not so cute, but warm and wicking which will do me at this time of year. And size 10)

I think I was 8 the last time I wore size 10! Actually, probably 6 or 7! I have a size 10 Oasis top now though!

Today was 4 miles with 30 second "bursts". I did 40 minutes which worked out at 4.25 miles/6.75k, so still on track. And I may have blurted out after a glass of wine or two that I'm training for a half marathon, so I guess I'm committed now...

I think I've posted this all over the forum.. maybe I should've just started a new thread!

I ran for 25 minutes NON STOP today. Just now! Just got back in! There was still enough energy left for a minute of fast-ish running at the end!

Oh and I haven't put this anywhere... But I forgot my socks... and ran with no socks so I have a nice blister! But it was worth it!

Well done!

I didn't run today, but I did sign up for Race for Life, which opened for registration today (being a sad running obsessive I had the date it went live written in my diary to remind me )
