BUPA Capital 10K

Okay, so there's Kykaree, YP1 and me signed up for the Bupa Capital 10K run in Hyde Park on 11 June 2006. (Hope you don't mind me posting this girls ;) )

Anyone else want to join us? There's 22 weeks in which to train for the run and I thought we could keep each other updated on our progress in this thread!

I've just done my training schedule till June and it's looking good! There is time to train for a 10K from sitting on the couch!

Run scheduled for tomorrow - will let you know how it goes! :carrot:

Yay 3FC Team BUPA!!! I'm not training running wise until February, on advice of my trainer, I need some running shoes and super supportive bra. But keeping up with my regular plan til then.

If you don't join us on the run, at least sponsor us!!!!

 definitely sponsor us! :D

I like the Berlei Shock Absorber bras and don't forget to bounce around the changing room in it, just to see if it works!

I wondered why Kykaree was doing one in London. ;) :carrot:

kykaree 01-06-2006 10:43 AM

I was doing it in London anyway, but managed to rope in some partners in crime!!! I've never been to London and really want to go, and thought the run would be good motivation.

It will be big fun in Hyde Park unless it is raining.

kykaree 01-06-2006 11:58 AM

Thanks very much Ms Veg, you've put the mockers on us now!!!! I think you should come and hold the brolly!

Well it is near to rainy Wimbledon time maybe it will be the rain free before Wimbledon week. ;)

Yay for Team BUPA! I'm trying to work out my plan for the year to fit a few more races in, why is everything I want to do either the week I'm on holiday or the week before the 10k?

10k is a fab distance - long enough to be a challenge but short enough not to require insanity (and we should be finished in time for a celebratory lunch as long as it's a morning race - does anyone actually know what time it is, I don't!)

2frustrated 01-07-2006 06:15 AM

No idea what time, but I just did 20 minutes run in preparation! :D I'm feeling really confident about this! I'm looking forward to a nice celebratory lunch, oh and SHOPPING of course - rewards for a great run! ;)

I bought Runner's World magazine yesterday! I'm starting to worry about myself! Ooooh and it says that my trainers are the best in the world! I would have to agree!

YP1 01-08-2006 02:50 AM

Frus - so did I, but more scarily I also subscribed to it to get my free watch...

Wow you too!

Yeah I've just given my Asics a hammering!

Day1 week 6 couch to 5k, but my engine died about half way! I will try harder next time!
