That was quick! I'll have no excuse in posting my gain later on...umm yes I will as I will be *cough* busy watching 'I'm a celebrity'.

kykaree 11-24-2005 12:58 PM

Woo hoo!!!! What a quick upgrade!!! yay the banners are gone!!!

I've had another good day off, went window shopping with a skinny friend from the gym, she didn't buy anything though. It was fun, I saw lots of nice things, no new clothes til the January sales though :(

Mazarin 11-24-2005 05:00 PM

I love the sales I bought so much last year in smaller size... 8 months later I sold it on eBay as they still didn't fit!

YP1 11-24-2005 05:13 PM

Yay! I've just got in and it's back! Woo hoo!!

Did you like LB? I think it has gone dodgy myself. I used to love it.

Mazarin 11-24-2005 10:23 PM

You know I never noticed the upgrade.... I am so slow at times. I swear the cold is freezing my brain!

kykaree 11-25-2005 01:52 AM

I didn't much like Little Britain, it's not quite my cup of tea. But at least when people say "yeah I know" in that daft voice, I know where it's come from now!!!!

veggie 11-25-2005 01:44 PM

Ooh I was just playing with the buttons up there and all my text went  Must stop pressing the buttons.

Oh I say 'yeah I know' :o

:smug: < why is that smilie 'smug'? It just looks happy to me.

YP1 11-25-2005 01:45 PM

It's Friday! Finally!

(unfortunately that means it's one day closer to Sunday :o )

I've just found out that my flight to Spain for Christmas has been changed in a pretty major way and I now need to be at Gatwick for 5am on a Saturday morning. Gatwick is a 4 hour drive away:(

Still it means I get nearly a whole day extra, so I suppose I should be grateful!

veggie 11-25-2005 01:48 PM

I've just been informed my train journey next week involves two TWOOOOOO buses. Oh and two trains. I will be calm with the person who booked it. I will. :bomb: :snail:

Dippy Chip 11-26-2005 06:25 AM

Sending calming vibes your way, Veggie! :goodvibes

PS - what happened to your link to your blog - I got used to clicking on the link and now I can't find it under my own steam :( .

Janey

veggie 11-26-2005 08:11 AM

I removed it I haven't posted on it for ages. You're not missing anything. ;)

BritinNJ 11-26-2005 12:21 PM

Helloo Ladies,
I haven't been in for a LONG while..although I've managed to read a few posts here and there. I am SO busy at work, and taking two college classes a week right now which are driving me to distraction.

You all sound like you're doing so fabulous.. well done all. Can't say the same for myself, if I manage to lose two pounds, it seems I gain it back by looking at something naughty. Half my clothes I bought last year, don't fit if I want to breath and I have a spare tyre that resembles the michelin mans!!!!

I am stressing myself out about it, but can't seem to get my finger out and make it go away.

I did have a wonderful surprise given to me this week though. My darling husband, sweet man that he is, called me at work to tell me that he'd bought me a plane ticket home for Christmas! :) However, he then found that my passport expires on the 15th Dec.. so I've had a manic time, getting the paperwork done and had it sent off to the Embassy in DC!! Please keep your fingers crossed for me, that it gets procesed and sent back to me in time to leave on Christmas day. I shall have ten glorious days at home with my Mum and friends... I can't wait :)

I do feel motivated by it all, to stay on track as I can't bear the thought that all the people who saw me last year when I went home, who commented on my weight loss, will now say, bloody **** woman... wot ya bin eating.. you're as big as a double decker again!!! Hopefully I can lose a few pounds again before I go, so they won't see so much fatness.

Ok, time to get into the depths of the cupboard under the stairs and drag out the Christmas tree, have a great weekend everyone.

Cat, shame you couldn't make it down to LV this weekend, you could have popped in for a cuppa, it's only a five hour drive :)

veggie 11-26-2005 12:25 PM

Hellooooooooooooo I've missed you. :( I have fingers and toes crossed for your passport. ;) :D

cat90 11-26-2005 03:27 PM

Hiya Chris  thats fantastic news about the trip :crossed: oooh that reminds me of the time I did'nt get my permanent resident card in time :hyper: but I went anyway  and customs did'nt say a thing until I got back!  it won't be the same with a passport of course but they've got a month so they've plenty of time to get their "finger out" ;) I remember worrying about my weightgain too and thinking that everyone would say "god..you've gained weight since last time you were over" but when I looked around the pub everyone else was blown up and fat too  and they never said a word :D that git of a husband of mine is talking about going home for christmas :rollpin: so it looks like i'll be spending chrissy on my own  i'd go back in a heartbeat but we have a vacation blackout at this time of year with it being retail so I can't :( Its nice and sunny today :sunny: but it looks windy too :( I need to go out for a case of Stella  ;) for tonight. Have a Great Weekend Everyone

Mazarin 11-26-2005 03:36 PM

Well I did not a lot today, unless you count having my hair done and taking Alfie to the park!

veggie 11-26-2005 07:20 PM

Cat - Just remember that it is absolutely freezing here and be glad you're not in the frozen north. ;)

Mazarin 11-27-2005 12:01 AM

I am with you on the Veggie, I have to get up to get warm and make a hot drink! :) the heating in this place is crap, mind you I say that every winter!!!

BritinNJ 11-27-2005 01:25 AM

Thanks for the fingers and toes crossed Veggie, I miss you always :)

Cat, you made me laugh calling your hubby a git... I've not heard that one in a while... Shame you can't go with him, if he does go, just make sure he brings back loads of stuff that you want, or if he comes back without, don't let him back in the house... :)

Windy here too, cooling down quite dramatically for sunny AZ, only supposed to be 64 tomorrow.....brrrrr....I'm gonna freeze my ar$e off when I'm home, they've already had a snowfall which settled this week. Still, I'll think positively and realize that the extra weight I've put on should keep me warmer :)

YP1 11-27-2005 11:54 AM

I've had a fab weekend, shopping yesterday and today, watching the Aussies lose a RL test series for the first time in 27 years (sorry Kylie ;) ), and doing the Abbey Dash. I definitely finished quicker than my last 10k and may have broken 60 minutes (or got pretty close - the time on the clock was 62.30, but it took ages to cross the start so I'm waiting for the time from the timing chip to come through). I actually ran every step of it - the first time I've ever done that in a race (from my vast experience of 2 previous ones).

I also may have found some potential christmas party dresses. It all depends whether I find magic pants and whether I summon up the courage to show A LOT of thigh...

cat90 11-27-2005 05:04 PM

Oooh good (but not for you ;) ) :dancer: I did'nt know it was that cold :smug: I hope he freezes his b**ls off  he wears longjohns over here so he'd better wear two pair over there  I'm sat around in my dressing gown and I should be getting ready for the works crimbo do  i'm not really motivated to go :dunno: could'nt be the fact that they're not serving alcohol could it?

2frustrated 11-28-2005 03:58 AM

 Hello Brit! I've missed you! It'll be a real christamssy chrsitmas this year with all the snow!

YP you are so good! You're an inspiration! I've got my running gear packed with me, I just have to make sure there's no excuses to go out at lunchtime! Hmmm :chin: I am feeling a bit below par, but not too bad at the moment... We'll see what happens! Although I really do want to get back on the healthy wagon again! I think the tail end of last week was just finishing off my Japanese binge! Maybe I didn't leave my inner fat chick on the plane after all! But I'm sure I squashed her last night after eating about 10 chocolate digestives! I feel more motivated after a binge (is that crazy or is THAT CRAZY? :dizzy: )

Cat - get thee to the ball cinderella! :wizard:

Okay - I will keep you updated on the jogging  ie whether I go or not...

Mazarin 11-28-2005 07:51 AM

Morning all.... yippee it's my last day at work today for my holidays... I am outta this place till 12th December! :)

2frustrated 11-28-2005 08:20 AM

Wooooo! Yeah holidays! I think winter holidays rock! :D Only next year I'm going to Cyprus or somewhere warm!

I did it - I went jogging in my lunch hour! I casually mentioned it to one of my colleagues while we were out doing an assessment this morning and he didn't think anything of it, even suggested where to run! No-one else noticed that I'd been out of the office, and what's more, no-one noticed me creeping around in my sports gear! :D I'm really pleased I went, I pushed myself too and I almost did all of the programme that I was supposed to do (I only skived 1 min 10 secs of running which isn't bad for a first try!). I am chuffed :D Ooooh and what's more, I'm not hungry. Maybe it's the thought of the weird tuna egg fried rice that I have for lunch...

YP1 11-28-2005 02:48 PM

I'm so excited! I've bought a dress for friday, and it makes me look thin enough to get inspired to turn up...

I even have accessories that match it already.

Now all I need is sufficiently supportive and flattening underwear and I'm all set :D

Mazarin 11-28-2005 03:42 PM

Oh what are you doing on Friday?

YP1 11-28-2005 04:14 PM

Office christmas party. It'll barely be December, but never mind!

kykaree 11-28-2005 05:10 PM

Oh YP which dress did you get????

YP1 11-28-2005 05:18 PM

A very nice one :p

I might get a photo taken on Friday if you're lucky.

kykaree 11-28-2005 05:31 PM

I'll post one of me in mine if you get one of you in yours!!!!

veggie 11-28-2005 07:08 PM

Ooh goody piccys. :cp: :hat: If we are very very lucky. ;)

YP1 11-29-2005 01:58 PM

I'm definitely going to the party after my doubts a few weeks ago. I bought magic pants and make up today so I'm definitely getting more committed :D

I might try everything on tonight to see whether the pants really do work miracles...

Mazarin 11-29-2005 02:42 PM

Excellent I hope you enjoy it!

2frustrated 11-30-2005 08:10 AM

:cheer: Hooray for magic pants :cheer:

I am blue  I have a stupid migrane with the hormones from TOM, gee thanks TOM, way to make things BETTER! :tantrum: I missed kickboxing last night, I came straight home and went to bed and I've even taken the day off work today (I didn't need much persuading) and I've taken flippin' CODINE and it's still banging away! :censored:

I was going to go for a jog later if I felt better, only movement that will be happening from me is to go to the bank (AGAIN!) and to Boots to get more drugs. :tantrum:

Oh I got a letter this morning from my old school asking me to go to a careers fair to represent my chosen career path. It's in early March. I will wow them all with my sexy bod, cosidering I was 16 stone when I left school! However I still want to lose more before March - I am more determined than ever - heavier weights here I come! YAHOOOOOOO! :D

Mazarin 11-30-2005 08:48 AM

Hello everyone, well I closed a chaper this morning, after waiting 8 months I finally got a diagnosis that I have PCOS! :) I can begin a new chapter and hopefully when I get to start Metformin in the next couple of weeks I should start to see some weight loss! :)

Well I am off to pack I am off to Sweden tomorrow for 5 days so I'll catch up with you all when I get back + lots of photos! :)

Be sure to read my blog while I am away as I'll update sometime there as I know I have internet access in the hotel!

Have a good weekend everyone!

veggie 11-30-2005 11:24 AM

Have a good time Alison. :D Glad you got your diagnosis it's always better to know.

YP1 11-30-2005 03:45 PM

Yay, I have new pyjamas. And to replace the old XL ones the new ones are... medium! And they fit perfectly.

I'm just gutted that I've had to give up my fleecy pyjamas though. I've had them for years and they're the snuggliest thing ever.

cat90 11-30-2005 06:47 PM

Hey Everyone  looks like you sent the snow my way  it snowed hard on Monday night and I had a **** of a time getting home from work :rollpin: its thawing now so i'm happy about that. I went to the party and we had a pretty good time considering that we were'nt allowed to imbibe  I watched the finale of the Biggest Loser last night..it was incredible :yikes: you just can't believe the transformation of some of these people some of them looked positively thin   I should have taped it for some inspiration :halfempty can't wait to see the pics of you ladies in your party frocks ;) we need more picture posting..its compulsory

2frustrated 12-01-2005 03:44 AM

 Hello everyone! Feeling better today, so double kickboxing for me! I managed to scoff maltesers, ice cream and a gingerbread man yesterday and stay within calories and have about the right amount of protein! Hooray for comfort food when you're feeling crap! (but counting it in sensibly of course!)

When I have a party frock (I have my eye on one in Warehouse) I will post a pic of me in it! I managed to get zipped into a size 12  However I couldn't breathe, but that's not the point!

We went to the cinema to see the Exorcism of Emily Rose, which was mega scary, but in a good way, it was a great film! We were both very quiet on the way home, still spooked I guess!

Had a nice relaxing day yesterday a soaked in a lavender bath and read a magazine and generally dossed around! Now that's my idea of a sick day! :D

Back to the grind today, back to the proper working out and proper eating (at least until Saturday, when we go to Paris!). :hyper:

Keep at it ladies - you too cat or I'll get the :rollpin: out! ;)
