Cat - Glad to hear you're biking without the pain!
YP your downward trend will continue, I'm sure! ;) Did a new weights routine yesterday. Was lots of fun, and only short too. I like it :D then I kinda sorta fell asleep for the rest of the night while him indoors was packing. He is away for a week! WOOOHOOOO! House to myself! Early nights all round! (how sad am I??) I can't wait to get in at 9pm tonight and go straight to bed! |
You not throwing any wild parties then 2frus? ;)
|
 You wild thing Frus  how old are you again? 60? Dom will be worried sick thinking you're up to alsorts :lol3:
|
I went to bed at 9pm last night, it was great! I might do it again tonight if I get a couple of jobs done first...
|
 its contagious  I go to bed at 9 sometimes but its to watch telly
|
I finally got the outfit for the wedding I am going to later this month. I was really hoping to be a size 18, but I am a 20. But that's OK seeing as at the beginning of the year I was a very tight size 26!!!
I got a brown skirt, which is patchwork strips of velvet and chiffon in different shades of brown, with lace at the bottom (the one we found in Wallis YP!) and a light teal velvet v-neck top, with a beaded trim in the centre. I was going to get a wrap, but fell in love with a dark teal cardigan in Monsoon, it's a size 18 (so I nearly got there) and gorgeous, and I will be able to wear it for work in winter. I relented and went to Evans for the shoes, because my shopping trip was on Wednesday night and all the shoe shops were full of screaming parents and their tired children getting ready for the first day of school on Thursday!!! I love the outfit, and I got a handbag at TK Maxx, which broke as soon as I got it home, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. |
I  Evans for shoes! They're sooooo comfy! Kyk, your outfit sounds lovely!
Got to bed at 10ish but couldn't sleep without him! Was quite :hyper: from kickboxing though! I'm vowing to practise my back kicks lots this weekend. Nothing much else to report apart from some idiot smacked me in the chin and really hurt my neck! He's the only one to actively hurt me in a year! He does it all the time! I'm going to refuse to fight him again cos he's too dangerous! :censored: |
I hope you smacked him back.
|
He he! I'm gonna tell the instructor next week and hopefully get a "free hit" Where I get to smack him anywhere! YAY!
|
Frus, you could'nt sleep without him :?:  I can't sleep WITH HIM (mine not yours :joker: ) drives me  droning on :dz: btw, go for the goolies ;)
Well, i've actually lost some weight this week :cp: i've only been on track since Monday :dunno: but its starting to pay off :D i'm not recording my weightloss though until the end of this challenge then i'll record the total lost. Has anyone come up with a name for the new challenge? Are we going for one to end around Halloween/Bonfire Night? I think the time is good :) gives us a couple of months and yet its not to far away that we get complacent and think "oh..i've got loads of time yet so I can have this bag of chips" Right, its time to head off to :tread: HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! |
YAY CAT! :cheer:
I think it should be waify witches challenge or something wierd! Off to buy a "treat" - Pepsi Max! and get some cash out! Laters chickies ;) |
Waify Witches :?: :dunno: I don't want anything that reminds me of kit-kats  :joker: i'm sure you'll come up with a good 'un Frus ;)
|
I can vouch for the fact that it's a very nice skirt :)
In a good mood today, a good win at the rugby and I saw someone I've not seen since April. She knew I'd lost weight but her jaw still dropped a little :D Plus I managed to sort something out at work that had been worrying me for a while, and it's Friday. No other reason needed to be in a good mood when it's Friday, really ;) |
:D
Kyk, WE WANT PICTURES! Got lots of stuff to do today but I can't be bothered! There's always tomorrow! Might go and get some "retail therapy" |
I've been shopping. Ahem! :o Well actually you could call it a shopping binge!
2 pairs of trousers (for work) they are LOVELY! And while I was in the changing room, I found someone's stolen my bum! Where is it? I want it back, they've left me with this flat little thing that looks quite cute from some angles! 2 jumpery top things 2 books, 3 magazines, a CD for Dom's birthday, a necklace, some deoderant and erm, a slice of Apple Strudel... ;) My proper treat for the day! :T |
You can have some of my bum if you really want some, but you might regret it ;)
|
:T Just eaten my strudel! Was luvverly! :D
Kinda at a loose end, I think I might hop in the bath 4 a bit with my book! I've done half an hour of back kick practice but had to give up cos I was getting so annoyed with myself I thought I might punch something! Will do another hour tomorrow in the hope that they improve slightly! |
I'm ready and waiting for my mate to turn up so we can go out DRINKING :D
I have to say, I'm looking damn fine tonight, I just looked in the mirror and couldn't believe it was actually me! Stupidly overdressed for where we're going, but I just felt like tarting myself up a bit. |
PICTURES! We want PICTURES!
Have a lovely time! I shoulda got the girlies out tonight, but I'm not feeling particularly social! Go figure! :dunno: |
Hmm, that turned out to be even more drunken than I was expecting. I made an unfortunate discovery too, the closest bar to my house has now turned into a very nice cocktail bar, with the nicest creamiest cocktail known to woman.
My head seems to be in one piece this morning, although I've just had a preventative painkiller just to be on the safe side... |
you're up early for such a party animal!
I've been lazing around in bed with my book and some pancakes for breakfast :T Just have to wash up and tidy up today. Deep joy! |
Hmm, I was feeling fine-ish when I woke up, took the best painkiller on earth (a paracetemol and codeine combo from Spain that I've never seen here - I get regular supplies sent over!), went for a nice gentle half hour swim and felt fine. Had my breakfast and discovered I'm not able to keep solids down yet. Eek. :(
|
I know you closed the gas prices conversation but I do have to note there were some very funny comments including:
"[In the UK]There is also a chance if you drive 50 miles you'll be in the ocean." and "Just for the record, when I park my car and walk around the city where I work, I've NEVER been mistaken for a hooker.....even in heels....." Not funny in a bad way just quite witty I thought. He he. |
YP, it's called PARAMOL over here, you can get it behind the counter in Boots. That's where I got mine from!
Dill, yes it was all getting a bit silly wasn't it! I'm SO lazy, just had a "nap" lasting 2 1/2 hours :o Can't decide what to have for dinner. I'm thinking chips, but I don't think I really want them. I've got some seaweed in the cupboard that I quite fancy, but you have to deep fry it! :dizzy: Ooh and there's prawn crackers... I think that's made my mind up! One greasy chinese fry-up coming up! |
I've had the day to myself, I sent dh to the salt mines today!!! He doesn't work Sundays much anymore but they have given him two this week.
I had a long swim, and a turn at the gym, and I have slept all afternoon!!! It was lovely, I must be getting old. And I have eaten on plan this weekend!!!! Even when I went to a hen's day at a hotel yesterday!!! Yay me!!!! I will post pictures eventually of the outfit, I put it on again today just to have a look!!! |
I think I'm going to go to bed now, I'm really tired. I didn't get much sleep on Friday night (went to sleep at about 1am and was out running at 7.30), and last night wasn't much better (probably longer, but not good quality, what with being very drunk).
I've felt surprisingly alive for most of the day, which is good, but must remember that I can't drink what I used to any more. Went up to York, lovely sunshine and very warm. I overcame my fears and tried some jeans on in Top Shop, and they fit :) I can't remember the last time anything from Top Shop fit me. I also tried some jeans on in River Island which also fit, I seem to remember that the last time I tried anything on there (which didn't fit) was in 1995 when I was looking for clothes for a big trip to America for my uncle's wedding. The big news is I didn't buy anything! I'm trying not to buy any clothes for a couple of weeks as I've got a girlie shopping day planned at the end of the month with a friend and need to make sure I have some money left by then... |
Wooo! Hooray for Topshop YP! I was in there at the weekend but I couldn't find anything that didn't look like it'd come off a sailor! :dz:
I am pleased to say, I made it through the weekend without really bingeing! I had plenty of treats, but I didn't go bonkers! I had some lovely apple crumble yesterday with custard. The only problem is that there's 3/4 of it left in the fridge! Maybe I should freeze it? :dunno: Back to my healthy eating today, apart from my bread had gone yellow and furry this morning so I am relying on apple banana muffins instead of sandwiches for lunch! What a pity! I have plenty of food with me, so I'll just have to take it easy today! Weights and back kicks this afternoon. :hyper: |
I am practising the art of WILLPOWER... It's not going very well!
I went to Tesco before I ate my lunch cos I needed to get some stuff. I was starving! And I was just picking up my loaf of bread, when who should happen to jump into my basket but the cutest little gingerbread man. Well he was so sweet, I just couldn't put him back! Now he's sitting on my desk... He might be a paraplegic gingerbread man soon if he doesn't watch out! |
Oooh I forgot to say.. Before Mr Cutie Gingerbread Man hopped into my basket...
As I was walking to Tesco, I got beeped at by a car FULL of blokes! My response? I flipped them the bird! As our pals over the pond would say! Then I saw them leer at me and I thought, "Ooooh that's a WAHEY HOTTIE honk rather than a HA HA FATTIE honk!" Respect to the honkers! I had a slight grin on my face for at least an hour! Of course I am COMPLETELY against being objectified and am offended out of principal. But still :D |
Am I talking to myself?
|
Yes I think you are! :p  I have nothing to say I'm in a blah mood that seems to be lasting for days weeks months. :dz: Where has this year gone and why haven't I lost any weight? :headache: :snail:
|
Oooh you can join our Scary Skinny Skeleton Halloween Challenge and see the pounds off with the year! The next one on the cards! I'll have to plan a funky party so I can show off in slinky witch dress or something!
|
Me? Skinny? Which Halloween are we talking about? 2020?
|
I'm nowhere near being a skinny skeleton more of a pumpkin really :o
Next year though. ;) |
I'm up for the Halloween challenge. My slinky dress target is christmas rather than Halloween though, I don't want to get too far ahead of myself with my thinking ;)
|
hahaha  Frus i've think you've come up with the thread title there ;) I like it :D and when you're dressed up as a skinny witch make sure to take some pics for us :)
I'm in a binge mood today :rollpin: just had some sugar puffs just because I fancied them :dunno: and that was after a chickburger/bun and a whole can of mandarin oranges with vanilla icecream :T :hun: I should go to the mall..hubby needs some new jeans for work and it will get me outta the kitchen  I saw an ad for SEVEN jeans on telly the other night Frus..are they the ones you were talking about? they are 39.95  don't know what you pay over there for 'em but it seemed reasonable to me :) Right..i'm off for a shower  |
I've been doing well this week. I have changed my ticker with my real goal weight on it. I was starting to get complacent. My new goal takes me to the outer range of the healthy weight for my height.
I'm loving my new job, and I have more energy for exercise, and my eating is improving as well. I don't seem to have much time for anything except exercise and work though, boring!!!!! |
Cat, apparently there's 2 seven jeans going on over there. There's "seven for all mankind" which the celebs wear and then theres seven7 jeans, which I think are really just trading on the name! I think seven for all mankinds retail for about $100 which is pricey! But they're over £100 here! That's why I'm waiting till I go to the states again to buy them!
Not a lot happening, a bit bored really! Off to kickboxing tonight! |
Did anyone see 'it's me or the dog' yesterday on channel 4? This woman gave her 6 dogs drinks of tea, ice lollys and biscuits. :?:  Surprised they didn't bring in Gillian McKeith.
|
Yay on the new ticker :) I keep on trying to decide whether to change mine or not (for a reason I did know, but have since forgotten, I was considering aiming a bit lower than 160 - not much though, but a little). I think I've decided that as 160 is a healthy weight for my height I'll leave it for now, also I don't have the courage to make the task any bigger than it is at the moment!
Interesting though, last night I was looking at other bits of the board and I realised something. I used to be so jealous of people who "only" had 30 or 40 pounds to lose, and think that people who started off at that level had it so much easier than those of us with 100lb or so to shift. It was only last night that I realised I'm one of them now! Fantastic! |
