Chips and cheese? I despair of this country. :p  You're going to the pub not to drink? What's the point in that then? :chin:

cat90 09-23-2005 11:50 AM

 I hate being the designated driver  so I WON'T be one  I feel the same as Veggie :dunno: why go to a pub if you don't drink? the :censored: pop costs as much as the beer

veggie 09-23-2005 11:55 AM

I forget about people driving probably as I'm one of those odd people who don't drive. :o

cat90 09-23-2005 12:03 PM

 he-he You'd have to walk for a :censored: long time to get anywhere around here :yikes:  errr :chin: 2hrs to FIRST PUB :faint:

veggie 09-23-2005 01:29 PM

I may have to move I'd be thin there.

YP1 09-23-2005 01:56 PM

You have to drink in a pub. No other option.

I'm in danger. There are at least 4 pubs round here (probably 5 or 6 now I think of it) that are within running distance, let alone walking. It's just too dangerous.

kykaree 09-24-2005 06:39 AM

Our nearest pub is four houses away, the next one is over the road and about three houses, theres 5 more within a five minute stroll......

People hate me because I often go out and not drink, I can take or leave booze, unless it's nice cocktails, or free red wine (don't ask about my eating and drinking habits this week - not good) and I don't drive!!!!!

It's the wedding today (not mine) I have my nails polished, my hair dyed (it was meant to be dark brown but it's come out very red!!!) and I am nearly ready, apart from still being in my jeans! Nearly time to frock up!!!

YP1 09-24-2005 07:17 AM

Get some piccies taken and post them, I'm sure you look fantastic! :D

veggie 09-24-2005 10:23 AM

Yes we need photos :nose: :nose: :nose: :nose:

BritinNJ 09-25-2005 02:07 AM

Maybe I should walk to our nearest Brit pub here... I'd soon get thin, it's about 20 miles away and along one part of the main drag is prossie alley... I should sweat some cals off too, it's still 104 here during the day.

I've lost five pounds this week :) Hope I can keep up the good work. I've been so set on not eating crap of an evening... walked a bit, but no real exercise, between work, school and more work...

veggie 09-25-2005 10:29 AM

Well done Chris :cp:

teel 09-25-2005 12:58 PM

Hellooooo.
Coo all you lot have talked about for the past 3 pages is food and drink and being ill! Or not, as the case may be!!
Veggie I hope you are feeling better..did you get to the weigh in??

YP., I forgot to say you look absolutely stunning in that photo!! I like the hair, too!!

I live in a large English village and yes, I have 2 pubs to choose from! Unfortunately neither of them are in walking distance for me...could get the mobility scooter out though...he he he!! :scooter:
Gosh the sun has just fallen below the level of the fence and its really quite chilly...brrrrr. Mind you its me, the one who isn't well! I managed to pick up a stomach bug late Friday afternoon and although the need for the 2 second mile has abated..(I leave that to your vivid imaginations!) today I feel as bloated as a pregnant cow :moo: :moo: no don't ask me how I know what one of those feels like!! I haven't eaten anything today which should be good for the weightloss!!

Chris..well done on your 5 lb loss this week..awesome!!

YP1 09-25-2005 04:18 PM

Hope you feel better soon!

A huge lunch at my favourite Greek restaurant today (we had a voucher for a meal for £5 so it would have been a shame to waste it when what we ate would normally come out at £20 a head), then a shopping trip to burn off some calories.

All I can say is watch out skinny sister, I'm coming to get you...

She sent a request back with my mum for some size 14 Next jeans as she's not into the curvy, skin tight look that seems to prevail in Spain. My mother decided that as I'm currently wearing her old jeans it would be a good idea for me to try on the jeans to work out which ones would look best on my sister. I should add that my sister has lost some weight since the ones I'm wearing, and that although I can get away with a 14 in most things at the moment, jeans are usually beyond me and send me scurrying back to a 16. I will also add that the skinny sister tag is partly because she's always been smaller than me, but also because I swear she looks a lot smaller than a 14. We actually sent her a text to double check what size she wanted because I didn't believe my mum when she said that's what she asked for.

Anyway, I picked up 14s and 16s in as many styles as I could find - both sizes if they had both on the assumption that if the 16 looked OK on me, the 14 would be OK on her, and the 14s in the ones where there wasn't a 16 available to try.

Well, to cut a long story short, I didn't bother trying on the 16s :D And if she doesn't like the jeans we chose her (or they are indeed too big), they'll have a loving home right here ;)

I hope this works, here am I at the wedding!!!! I am really pleased here, because a lady who I haven't seen in a year, who didn't know I have been trying to lose weight, has just reeled over in shock, demanding to know how I have managed to disappear!!!

There's a group shot of me from behind throwing confetti, and for the first time, i just blend in to the group, I don't look skinny, I don't look fat, just boringly average YAY!!!!!!

veggie 09-25-2005 07:00 PM

Nice pic :D

YP1 09-26-2005 01:01 AM

nice pic, you look great :D

2frustrated 09-26-2005 03:38 AM

Oooh nice pic!

Had a crappy weekend! Having a wrong side of bed day. :tantrum:

Having a "maintenance week" and tapering the exercise because of grading on Saturday. Ate so much at the weekend I might have 2 "diet days" today and tomorrow just to stop feeling sick!

veggie 09-26-2005 05:56 AM

I don't know what to do. Meant to go to a new fat club tomorrow but it is only 5 days since last weigh in and I haven't made much effort. I don't want to get weighed after 5 days :tantrum:

:tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum:

I've also been left with the dog sitting while my sister has gone to Manchester.

2frustrated 09-26-2005 06:42 AM

If it's "new" fat club their scales might not correspond with the "old" fat club ones so GO!

I'm trying to be an  today - having porridge with apple for "morning snack" :D My tummy is finally emptied of weekend junk!

kykaree 09-26-2005 07:06 AM

I had my non-diet week last week, last days of it were meant to be today and tomorrow, but I am back on the wagon. I miss eating healthily!!!!!! I was surprisingly restrained over the weekend, I only had one helping of dessert at the wedding on Saturday, the old me would have grazed at the buffet table all night!

veggie 09-26-2005 11:40 AM

The new fat club scales will be worse I know it oh well I have an excuse (5 days  I will be repeating that a lot if I go) if it is bad. :p

2frustrated 09-26-2005 11:49 AM

Go Go Go!

Dippy Chip 09-26-2005 02:58 PM

Go Veggie, go! - you may have a nice surprise!

Nice pic Kylie - you look right lovely!

Janey :D

YP1 09-26-2005 04:11 PM

Go to Fat Club, Veggie!

I'm on "maintenance three weeks" at the moment, mum's here and I'm not overly convinced I'll lose (particularly not with a trip to see my godmother, a trip to Marrakesh and a big meetup in a pub with rugby friends, so I'm just concentrating on not gaining.

kykaree 09-26-2005 04:39 PM

I've lost my real mother. I sent my picture to my mum (well the one on the other end of her email address) "What a transformation. Your face looks so great and I like your hair colour. You are doing so well. ". No negatives, no nothing, just a purely positive comment, it made me feel so good. I feel really encouraged to keep going now. I have had a bit of a wobble, but I really enjoyed this maintainance week, I had a great time at a work conference last Wednesday, and the wedding, I let myself drink, eat and be merry. Now I just want to get down to a size 18 (I think I am just about there) and go shopping!

2frustrated 09-27-2005 04:06 AM

Went to Lacrosse last night! I have my coach's TOTAL respect! He's bowled over by my bike! (It's not that big honest! I'd be more impressed if I was riding a 1000CC HOG or something!) Then when he found out I did kickboxing he says, "Bloody ****! (In a really cockney geezer type way) You really love your sports don't you?". I was psyched! And also realised that yeah I really do love sports - when did that happen?! :dunno:

I took that as the best complliment so far! A coach thinks I'm sporty!

I told my friend and she said, "Well you do love sports..." but it's so anti-inner-fat-chick! I guess it's taking me a while to realise that I'm not still the fat girl who's picked last for teams (although I'm still the worst at lacrosse but I'm getting better!).

Kickboxing tonight - just to prove to myself that I really do love sports!

veggie 09-27-2005 05:13 AM

You do seem sporty ;) I'm a bit scared

cat90 09-27-2005 02:00 PM

Nice Pic Kylie :) you look so happy :D

Well Done Chris :bravo: I was just about to shout :coach: WHERE'S CHRIS? again

Going to have a mammogram in a bit :fr: there should be a law against it  was talking to Jill at work yesterday and she said that a young girl had been talking about wages and she'd said "I was only earning X at my last job so I came here because they pay so much more" :rollpin: well the X she was talking about is MORE than what I and some of the others are earning here  I said to Jill "I would have asked her how much she was on" This is :censored: ridiculous! some people did'nt bother to turn up yesterday :lol3: wonder why?

YP1 09-27-2005 03:55 PM

It does sound :censored: ridiculous! Good luck with the mammogram (is luck the word?)

Frus - I know what you mean with the being thought of as sporty thing, a new trainee started at work a few weeks ago and keeps on telling me that she "doesn't know where I get the motivation to go to the gym every morning" and is completely in awe of my athletic feats.

She clearly didn't see how much fatter my arse was than it currently is, if she had she'd know where the motivation came from...

veggie 09-27-2005 04:36 PM

Hello scary sporty types! :strong: :jig: :wl: :faint: :censored:

I went to another fat club only to discover it is a bit like my old one. My new consultant seems to think my old consultant hates her job and we are doing her a favour not going to her group. :ziplip: :dunno: All very odd. There is a dance class next door to new fat club so when I got bored I just hummed along to the music in my head. There is only so long you can smile and clap I find. :p

2frustrated 09-28-2005 03:30 AM

 At least you have a diversion from the fat club when things get boring at your new one!

Went kickboxing last night, mainly helping people do back kicks! Ah I have nothing to do tonight! BLISS! I think I'll sleep till Dom gets home (that's a good hour and a half's snooze) then get some tea and doze around till bedtime! I like it!

veggie 09-28-2005 10:07 AM

I still have flashdance in my head it won't go away. When I was at my sisters flat the previous day her upstairs neighbour kept playing Berlin's take my breath away ARGH :listen: :blah:

2frustrated 09-28-2005 10:44 AM

Ooh I like that one! I'm playing the new Jamie Cullum (bless him - ain't he cute!) it's rather good! Me likey Jamie!

veggie 09-28-2005 11:42 AM

No he is not! :p I've had enough of the Jamie love on another forum (non weight loss of course ;) ) some people went to see him at this radio two small gig and it's all Jamie this Jamie that.

cat90 09-28-2005 09:30 PM

Now..now..behave
LOL @ Veggie :lol3: Sod that for a game of soldiers :nono: I would'nt be wasting my money to listen to next doors music :dunno:

Just got in an hour ago and my legs and feet are :censored: killing me :( I'm not used to running around for 8 hours  and like a fool when one of the administrators came around looking for 'volunteers' to do an extra shift I said i'd go in tomorrow for another 9 to 5'er :yikes:  and MISS MY DAY OFF!! I've gone  HELP!!

kykaree 09-29-2005 01:41 AM

I'm kind of famous!!!! http://www.sonahealth.com/ Click under Uma Thurman (they couldn't afford my fees for the front cover) Then click on section 22, you will see a lady standing on the scales (that's not me either by the way) and then next, and there I am!!! I hate the article, and it's not very true, but hey ho!!!

2frustrated 09-29-2005 03:34 AM

Hooray! :cp: you shape shifter! ;)

veggie 09-29-2005 09:09 AM

:hyper: :hat: Omg you are famous. Ooh it says your name all the way through it  and piccy. Quay to fitness I like that  A trailblazer for our larger members :D smiley and positive :D :cb:

kykaree 09-29-2005 10:46 AM

That's me, smiley and positive (he didn't mention my weird self deprecating humour, but hey ho!)

Blazing a trail for fat chicks everywhere!!!!!

YP1 09-29-2005 03:28 PM

Far more inspiring than Uma ;)

Have just packed for a weekend down in Kent visiting my godmother :). Not fancying the 6 hour drive after work on a Friday night though :(
