Hi Girls,

I've just read the whole thread and i'm inspired :cp: so much so that i'm gonna head upstairs and get on my treadmill..something i have'nt done for weeks  well, i have'nt been able to anyway due to the fact that i've been on holiday in England for the past 5 weeks ;) but i'm psyched now (thanks to you) and i'm ready to shift some blubber again.

cat90 09-13-2003 11:31 AM

 All this talk of Alcohol abstainance (or lack of it) and i'm VERY GUILTY too :o made me think that perhaps we should limit ourselves to ONE drink per day? I was thinking something along the lines of this :-

Smiling Sal 09-14-2003 04:25 AM

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, I wanna glass like that.

Walked 1,5 miles on Friday lunchtime and swam 40 lengths (1 KM) on Friday night. Was going to cycle to the library yesterday but I had too many books in my rucksack wouldn't have made it to the end of the driveway so had the day off exercise yesterday.

Today will either be swimming with the kids, how long they play on the flumes depends how much exercise I get or an aerobics video later on.

The choice as they say is all mine, but I will be doing something

teel 09-14-2003 10:26 AM

Oh Cat90, that picture is so brilliant!!!

   :p

Smiling Sal 09-14-2003 03:47 PM

Swam 8 lengths today the queue for the flumes was too big to keep the kids amused on them for any longer today.

Walked 1.5 miles after dinner, will be shop strolling tomorrow for exercise, nothing to strenous

Smiling Sal 09-15-2003 12:55 PM

Walked around the shops and had a healthly lunch into the bargain.

Will try and be a bit more energtic tomorrow

Yo-Yo Dee 09-15-2003 03:57 PM

Had an awful weekend as far as exercise goes - me and the guy with the glass had an awful lot in common. Will do better tomorrow

Well done you exercisers :cp:

dee

p.s. the fireworks have already started around by me.....

cat90 09-15-2003 05:39 PM

 Dee..You, Carol and I have a lot in common  i'm still recuperating from my binge in England  but i bit the bullet today and did 2mls of hillclimbing on my treadmill :) just have to commit to doing it everyday now ;)

Smiling Sal 09-16-2003 08:57 AM

Just walked 1.5 miles into Stirling.

Set the alarm for 6:20 this morning to get up and do soem aerobics, but the only exercise I got was switching it off when the snooze kept going after 10 minutes.

That guy brought his glass around to my house last night :) only had 2 or 3 or was it 4 or maybe 5, was fun at the time

cat90 09-16-2003 12:44 PM

 that "guy" is very popular i see ;) thought he would be.

teel 09-16-2003 12:53 PM

  Oh Sal that was a great vision of your digit-cardio workout so early in the morning!!Is it light then???
Carry on girls, I think you are all doing great!:hyper: :grouphug:

Tulip-Fairy 09-16-2003 03:09 PM

I had a couple of those guy's glasses to celebrate my birthday with this weekend!! hic!

and have done absolutly NO EXERCISE at all this weekend unless you count an hours drunken boogie on the dance floor!! :spin: :spin: :spin:

My weigh in was down 2lbs this week so i'm not complaining too much! :)

cat90 09-16-2003 11:34 PM

Well Tulip i guess that boogie-ing DID burn some calories..Congratulations :cp: Glad you enjoyed yourself.
I walked another 2mls this morning so that'll do :)

plopster 09-17-2003 06:31 AM

Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting one of those pedometers so I can see how good it is for me when I realise that I haven't locked the house and have to go back to do it. I could get heaps of benefit from thinking that I left the oven on! :dizzy:

I've started getting in training for my next triathlon. It's really too early to be starting but I can't get motivated without a goal at the mo.

Roll on Summer......

Pol

Yo-Yo Dee 09-17-2003 10:19 AM

:drill: me and the guy with the glass have fallen out!! ah well it was fun while it lasted.

Went to the gym yesterday; today had dog out too hot for him poor soul; so may nip to gym later see what DH says when he gets home.

Any exercise is good for you even if it's "just walking" it's one of the most beneficial exercises going so just hang in there.

Dee

Smiling Sal 09-18-2003 08:19 AM

Have been very lax in my exercise since Monday, was up at 6 this morning but read the avon catalogue instead !!!!!

Have just walked a mile and a half so things are lookign up

Tulip-Fairy 09-18-2003 05:18 PM

So how many calories does reading the avon brochure burn up?? maybe i can incorparate that into my non-exsistant exercise routine!!! lol

I am back at work full time now the kids are back at school so am on the go from getting up to going to bed, i don't know how you all find time to exercise!!! :dizzy: :dizzy:

cat90 09-19-2003 05:34 PM

Did'nt exercise yesterday was too poorly :( feeling a little like my old self today and 'walked' 2mls and 'biked' 5klm :)

Smiling Sal 09-20-2003 04:08 AM

Glad you're feeling better Cat.

Am going to go for a walk today, was going to get my bike out, but it is pouring so will stroll around under my brolly, not so easy to go my bike with an umbrella

cat90 09-20-2003 03:43 PM

Thanks Carol :) not done anything as yet..having a lazy Saturday. Huh..what am i saying? I have a lazy Everyday  Laundry is in the dryer..its a beautiful sunny day and i'm too lazy even to hang it out! I WILL DO SOMETHING..I WILL.

Smiling Sal 09-21-2003 06:34 AM

Did nothing yesterday either. Am taking the boys swimming today, if the towels ever dry in the dryer.

cat90 09-21-2003 02:21 PM

I DID do something yesterday :cp: 1ml walking and 8k biking :D all indoors

Smiling Sal 09-21-2003 03:32 PM

Swam 10 lengths, no great feat, but then I challenge Ray to a underwater distance race and I managed to swim a full width under the water, my lungs were fair bursting after that, it felt great :cb: :joker: :cb:

I then walked miles...........around matalan and the co op, not quite the same, but it was better than sitting on the couch do nothing (or eating )

Tulip-Fairy 09-22-2003 09:01 AM

Yippeeee!!!!

At last i've gone and done it!!!

I actually cycled to work and back about 30mins exercise in all!! which is pretty good for a Monday morning!! ;)

I've also watched my diet so far so hoping for a loss this week unlike the 1lb gain i had this week  Although in my defence it was mine & hubbies birthday last week so could have been worse........a lot a lot a lot worse!!!!! :dizzy: :dizzy:

I know you lot will put my efforts to shame, you exercise junkies you!!!!:D :D lol

...and on to tomorrow!!!

cat90 09-22-2003 03:40 PM

Great Job Tulip :cp:

Carol i would have thought i was drowning  i hate being underwater..i would panic :fr:  I sometimes feel like i'm drowning in the shower!! Great Job.

Was really lazy yesterday and only "biked" for 3k :( this morning i "biked" 12k and "walked" 1ml :)

Smiling Sal 09-23-2003 08:50 AM

Just walked my usual 1.5 miles at lunchtime, very slow on the way back up, was lovely strolling in the autumn sunshine in a wee day dream world all of my own

teel 09-23-2003 08:18 PM

Was there anything really lovely in your private dream-world, Sal???Hunky man in a kilt on a beautiful white sandy beach, with the sea lapping at his tanned toes...:dizzy: :D ;)
The sea lapping is only an ok thought if it is not freezing cold and I am on an island of paradise with loads of humming birds and other wonderful birds and butterflies to watch....
OH FOR GOODNESS SAKE! Teel DO wake up:sp: :sp: enough to get back to bed safely. I am only here 'cos I keep having hypo attacks bettween midnight and 0100 hrs, so I have had some sugar included but fat free yoghurt and 2 penguins..and hope my blood level of 3.8 has risen enough to let my brain activate the SLEEP button. This has been happening FAR too often, no wonder I am not loosing any weight at the moment..... :sumo: :sumo: :sumo: :rollpin: :rollpin:

Glad you enjoyed the autumnal stroll, Sal.
Night night love from Teel xx

BritinNJ 09-23-2003 10:16 PM

Curves is still number one for me girls, and of course walking in the evning with Pen and Lew. It was lovely out tonight, starting to feel the air of autumn coming in, time to turn of the air conditioning and enjoy the fresh jersey air while we sleep me thinks.
Well done to all on their exercise quests, we're all doing great.

cat90 09-24-2003 06:30 PM

Did Nowt yesterday :( and only walked a mile today and biked 5k.

Smiling Sal 09-25-2003 07:54 AM

Am just about to go for my walk today. Yes Teel there was a handsome hunk, we were sitting on the promenade (sp?) at 2 o clock on a saturday morning, listening to the waves - why 2 o'clock on a saturday morning, goodness only knows.

Took the boys swimming last nght, had a splash around with Sean, better than sitting doing nothing

cat90 09-25-2003 12:34 PM

Why 2 o'clock in the morning? because you'd just come out of the nightclub thats why

teel 09-25-2003 04:10 PM

  how do you know Sal was coming out of the nightclub at 02:00hrs, Cat90...were you there too??!

cat90 09-26-2003 12:17 PM

 Ray sent me to keep an eye on her Teel ;) the rotten devil sent me on my bike too :p only a 5k ride tho'

cat90 09-26-2003 08:24 PM

Decided to try my walk/jog program :stress: Phewww that 5 weeks holiday has made me a wimp  i've got some work to do to get back where i was :( only managed one mile and 5k on bike today

Smiling Sal 09-27-2003 04:34 AM

You too are hilarous, yes we'd probably just come out of a nightclub, propbably were we met, missed out that bit of detail in my day dream

Swam 23 lengths last night, only 23. The pool was mobbed and my calf muscle was sore so decided to quit while I was agead. Also walked my 1.5 miles as usual atlunchtime

teel 09-27-2003 01:22 PM

Well, for the record, Sal, I think 23 lengths is bloomin' great!!!
:D  And I think you should be proud of yourself!!
 :flow2: :cp: :bravo: :cb:

cat90 09-27-2003 02:06 PM

And I second that :D 23 lengths is bleeding marvellous

Smiling Sal 09-28-2003 05:39 AM

OK am proud of myself, no exercise yesterday beyond tidying the house and walking 5 minutes to the shop and back.

Am supposedly taking the boys swimming later with a few friends, we were on the wine last night, so depends how much she is suffering today whether or not she is up for it.

cat90 09-28-2003 01:08 PM

No Exercise for me either yesterday :( apart from walking around the mall..legs would not co-operate i.e. they would not bend..all stiff after leg lunges on Friday :( still stiff this morning but i'll make 'em work :D
