Crunch pip. I tried the 5:2 diet but have found it difficult when at home. All the time at work or busy it's doable but I tend to lose it when I get home. I really would like to have a serious crack at it though.
I've started my first fasting day today. It's uber hard. Haven't ate yet. I'm trying to hold off till supper time.
Well done for giving it a go at the weekend. I'll be trying week days.
I chose to start today because every Saturday my husband gives me a lie-in, so I didn't wake up until 12.30 lol That's half the day gone and I didn't even know I was fasting!
My tummy is seriously gurgling now though. I'm trying to focus on the chocolate I will eat tomorrow
Right now I'm in between diets but Monday is d day for me. Back to gym too.
Good for you. In the meantime, do you do what I do when I'm inbetween diets and gorge just before you're due to start? Just to enjoy that last taste of freedom?
That's partly the reason I'm now doing 5:2. I'm hoping it will help rid me of the 'forbidden food' allure.
I had to laugh when I read that you gorge before starting again. That's why I'm not doing it today. Still eating all the goodies in the fridge. It's like you know me. Hahaha.

haha yes you have to eat every last crumb of bad stuff in the fridge or cupboards before you can start Enjoy every mouthful.
I did that with all my Christmas chocs before starting calorie counting on 1st January...only to find I could fit in one bit of chocolate a day within my allowance so I had to then buy extra...oops!

haha that's what's happening to me. Cause you can eat chocolate on the 5:2 diet It really is an awesome diet.
I know you can still have chocolate on the 5:2 but I can't stop at a little bit. If I could then I wouldn't need to lose all this weight. I'm afraid I have to be quite restrictive and try to save it for the weekend.
Hi all !
I've decided to share my weekly weigh-in.
I'm 12 stone which means I've lost only 4lbs since I started on January 1st, and gained 1lb since last week - I've been ill with a kidney infection and knew my diet had slipped but I'm still upset. I'll be getting back on the bandwagon now that I'm almost fighting fit again! I'm not doing a particular diet, just calorie counting and increasing my exercise. x

Welcome. Don't worry bout a small gain. If you've been unwell your body won't respond well to exercise. Calorie counting is probably the best thing to be doing. Keep your chin up.
Hey girlies, just checking in to say hope you are all doing well.
My weightloss has been slower than usual this month, but I guess it's harder to lose now that I'm closer to goal. I'm down 5lbs so far, which is certainly nothing to complain about. I also hit the 6 stone loss mark this week
I am now in the 130's, I never thought I'd get here! This forum has helped me so much, I am so pleased I joined up when I did.
