Default Scales just move!!!

I am feeling a little dishearten today I have not lost anything this week I have to admit I have been losing heart for a few weeks the 1st stone came off really quickly and now nothing, i am still being good with food and doing walking, i think i need to do more exercise i havent gained and thats good its just not going.
Anyone exercise tips for someone that leaves the house at 7am and dont get back to 8pm everyday time really is a problem, i want to go swimming but im not ready to get my swim suit on in public just yet and the gym only allows members between 7pm and 9pm i cant afford a membership but can do the pay each time if only i was allowed in at 8pm everything would be great.
I was thinking of going to get a work out video any recommended??

Hi, Marie
I know it can be disheartening and quite demotivating but please don't give up.
Exercise is always good, and swimming would be great - I am bigger than you but took the plunge into the local swim pool a month ago and never looked back! For Christmas got myself the gliding discs, they come with a workout programme; feel fine but it's still early days so don't know what effect they will have. Luckily there is a treadmill in the house; er still planning to use it - walking is very good.
What plan are you on? Plateaus do occur with every weight loss plan - maybe it is just water retention during PMS or ovulation? If you have doubts you might be doing something wrong foodwise, download the trial (14 day) DietPower software, it might show if you are getting something in excess or need to top up.
Last but not least - are you drinking enough water?

Swimming is great for cardiovascular health, but using it as a weightloss tool is kinda hit or miss. Because your body remains cool in the water, and your muscles aren't under any weight bearing stress it's not very effective for burning calories, building muscle tissue that helps you burn energy or for raising your metabolism. I love swimming myself, but it does need to be paired up with some kind of aerobic activity. I think you've got the right idea in looking for a work out video, and if you find a good one let me know because I'm on the market for one too!

Good luck in your weight loss, and ignore the scales. Remember that women's hormones at certain times of the month makes us retain fluid, and masks the weightloss that might be happening unnoticed. Dont give up, you've already lost over a stone which is fantastic!

Hi Marie, I'm 30 in July too! Scary thought isn't it.

I really want to lose 7 stone, although I now that's not gonna happen by July. I hope to lose 3 stone by July as well, as that's only 2lb a week.

I have exactly the same problem! I've in fact put on 1lb since last week! I work a lot nd am always too exhausted to exercise excessively.. I invested in a Kinect so I can get a good workout at home, but.. lack of energy is my problem, haha. Good luck to all of us!

Keep at it Marie, sadly I have no idea how to alter the tracker, I couldn't suss it myself, I had to get rid of it in the end and I can't even remember how I did that!

Click on the User CP up on the top bar and then edit signature from down the side.
Then change the numbers in the signature you made.

I know how hard it is to exercise with an injury, I hurt my knee about 2 years ago and its hard enough to walk around let alone exercise. Still waiting to see someone about it, been on the waiting list for over a year now
