hi beescwee....nope have never done the low carb thing before... just the very low cal part of it (have to admit to being a bit of a fan of the crash diet, just don't have the patience for slow and steady) But this time have been medically supervised the whole way, has cost me a fortune, but I just decided that I knew I could lose the weight by myself - probably unhealthily, but couldn't keep it off, so perhaps getting help with all of this would mean I could finally do it once and for all!
Removing carbs is not as hard as you think once you get in to the swing of it, but bread and I have long been enemies, so I knew I had to cut that out regardless, I don't think we can ever be friends again, you see to me, everything is a potential sandwich!
The thing about most carbs that I would have consumed is that really they just serve to add a lot of calories for quite a small physical portion...ie you can eat a huge dinner of veggies salad and a lean protein and be stuffed for like 1/4 of the calories you might use if it was a carby meal...
I am a total convert now, do you know all about Ketosis or not, before I go posting a big long explanation??
