  • I have officially plateau'd at 198lbs

On a positive note, plucked up the courage and went for the elliptical for the first time ever!
  • Well done....when you get in to a rhythm it's actually one of the nicer machines to use, oddly its actually easier if you go faster than you think you are comfortable with
  • Just had a quick flick through and it sounds like everyone's doing just great and feeling pretty positive. As of today's WI I'm half a pound lighter than before Xmas so raring to go with my new weight loss. I'm so relieved I got my act together in time for the February challenge. On that note there must be loads of wordplays for Feb - Flabuless in Feb?! Fat-busting in Feb? :-) Fitter in Feb?
  • I'm trying to think of something to do with leaping... to do with leap year? O I dunno, it's a pretty weak premise... lol.

is it a leap year this year???

ah just googled it, no not till 2012...was thinking of leap yourself light in Feb...grrr
  • hey everyone.. its been so glumy and raining around my house its not fun.. I bought my birthday outfit last night its very cute the only prob is the pants is a little tight.. nothing that losing 5 pounds wont fix..
I really like some of your ideas.. how about breaking hearts in february or fighting the phat in february..
  • Hey Tiara,

i think you mentioned you would do the Feb thread, so I suppose you should pick< but I like 2 posible variations on one of your suggestions:
    Fighting Fat in February
    or
Fighting Fit in February (dunnn if this might just be an Irish saying or not - when someone asks how you are - you might answer 'Fighting Fit' ie well...
  • i never heard it put that way but thats cool .. whatever the majority is i will post it..
  • Hey All,

Hope everyone did good this week...I'll do the final results up later on if Stef still hasn't re-appeared, hope it's just an internet connection again...
I'm at 171, so down 2lbs, which am happy enough about, not quite on target, but that means I am defo gonna get to Normal BMI in Feb. this is also (granted just by 1lb) the lightest I have weighed in my adult life, so a bit of a milestone!!

Just a thought for the new thread (in the title we shoudl put in brackets (all welcome to join) to encourage any new members to jump in..what do ye think?

Sounds like a good plan to get more people involved - & my vote is for Fighting Fit in Feb!

Congrats Ellie that's quite an accomplishment! I'm hoping that i'll join you in the normal BMI in feb but i'll have to see how i go after my operation. I'm down 1lb to 154 (11 stone woohoo!)which isn't that bad considering i'm really suffering with these gallstones and my exercise is down to pretty much nill. Over all it's been a pretty rubbish month for me though.. but at least i didn't gain any i guess.

Here's too next month! hope it's better than Jan!
  • Hey Sophie, Thanks!
11st is my very final target weight, I am a tall gal!! Can't wait to join you there, but you will have moved on by then..
you need to be what around 10 1/2 to be under BMI 25?? - so hopefully you can do that in Feb too, although the surgery thing might as you say stall things a little with the excercise and all...when are you due to have it???

But still the whole christmas thing is a distant memory now, and we are all ending jan lighter than we started, so can really make a go of it in feb!!

Yeah according to my trusty Wii Fit when i reach 10 stone 7lb my BMI will be just 25 (25.99 i think!) so i need to get to a comfortable weight below that where i won't keep bobbing up back into overweight if i eat some chocolate!

Two weeks till my surgery - Feb 16th, just want to get it over with and get on with everything! i'm not a very good patient & i certainly don't do bed rest well!
  • Hello! Thanks Ellie, for compiling the stuff - hope Stef comes back! I'm the same as last week - considering all the parties I've been to, the rum I've consumed and the pizza I ate (oops), I'm actually really happy. I've been a bit worried about getting back on track, but with a new month looming, I'm ready! I wore a skirt last night that was falling off me too, which made me very pleased

I like fighting fit in february. And it's a great idea to say all welcome too!

Ellie, I was going to ask you about why you decided to remove carbs from your diet. How has it been? Do you think you would have lost as much weight if you hadn't done it? Is it what you did the last time you lost weight? I'm think about doing it. Carbs tend to make me feel puffy and lethargic. I will be sad to say goodbye to them though!

Well done by the way everyone!
  • I'm happy with fighting fit for Feb - dreading weigh in tomorrow as have had a munchie week. Putting it down to the fact that I am getting ready to move.
