Default Hello from 1 Fat Chick in England # 4

Good morning, everyone.

Those strawberry things sound a bit lethal. I am in such a 'delicate' state at the moment that I am avoiding any kind of situation where I might be in risk of indulging myself. Just about the only shop I feel safe in right now is the greengrocers!

Juno - take it one day at a time. The reason all of us are posting here is because we find dieting difficult. If we found it easy we wouldn't need any kind of support. I can never understand how anyone could find dieting easy - after all it goes completely against our natural survival instinct.

How are you going on your alcohol free weekend, Veggie? And how about you, Delaney, you seem to be doing really well since Christmas.

Kevin says he doesn't think I have lost any weight this week, but he thinks I have changed shape a bit - probably all this walking. Various bits of me certainly seem to be firmer and I have lost 2 ins from round my chest. I don't know about the rest of me, I daren't look.

Poor George, his old 45 min walks sort of balanced his food intake so he was still retaining a bit of his puppy fat, but since 2nd January he has had all his puppy fat walked off him and he looks like a lean, mean, doggy machine now! The only trouble is that he is still a hair brained puppy inside, so people get a huge surprise when they stop to admire this very sophisticated black lab ...... who promptly rolls over on to his back with his legs in the air waiting for his tummy to be rubbed.

Hi everyone

Kids are still ill, been up all night with sprog #2 - temperature of 102 - what a nightmare.

Well as you know yesterday was not too successful and then I logged off from here and hubby had been to the chippy and I had some (tons) of chips - I HAVE NO WILLPOWER

Started again today

Tomorrow is when I start back at the Rosemary Conley club - not looking forward to it 'cause her scales weigh me heavier there than mine do at home. This will be my first exercise in a year I hope I don't collapse!! But it's the threat of getting on the scales every week that I need so wish me luck.

Come on girls lets keep plugging away at it...

Well done Delaney - I am struggling to stay out of the kitchen as well. Just finished roast beef, yorkshire puds, etc, etc, and DH has defrosted himself a toffee/nut gateau. He says if I won't share it then he will 'be forced' to eat it all himself. I ran.......

I was really stupid this morning - I can't believe that I have done it this year because I am still waiting to shrink in to last year's size 16s! I thought I had more self control that this AND we are broke .... sob! We popped out for a matchpot of paint this morning and saw one of these designer outlets that we have never visited before so we stopped to have a look.... I should have known better - I PROMISED myself I wouldn't buy any clothes at all until I have lost the first 30lbs - and, stupidly, I have bought only SIZE 14s this time!!!!!! It seemed like such a good idea at the time - lots of incentive, etc, etc.. I got a couple of nice tops and a great full length leather trenchcoat (with belt) for £30! I am going to leave it hanging on the outside of my wardrobe door just to remind me how daft I have been.

Peachey - a size 14 leather trenchcoat - what an incentive to lose weight. At the moment it would just keep one of my shoulders warm. I too have size 14 clothes, I have moved them to the loft I have had them that long - by the end of this year though they will fit me.

Well done on staying away from the kitchen Delaney. I had a nice low fat pot roast all cooked and ready and then we popped into my MIL & she fed us ?? so the roast has been carved and frozen for another day.

Did have some chocolate pudding at my in laws, but only one slice, despite all my MIL offerings.

Tomorrow is anothe rday.

Hi everyone; I'm feeling good because I'm back on plan now. Went shopping today and stuck to the list - saved myself £10 in the process !! think I may go and buy a CD in my lunch break tomorrow to celebrate

Has anyone tried that new ww cheese? It's 1 point for 25g and it's....................disgusting . I've put it with some pasta and l.f. mayo with salad tomorrow for my lunch, just to disguise it. Yuck yuck yuck by itself.

Got myself some pyjamas yesterday but got a size too big by mistake ; it's just that some shops have bigger sizes than others and I forgot - have worn them too, so will try and shrink them this week (hey, I manage with all dh's best clothes )

OK, off to bed now; just finished studying too - can't wait for semester end in May

Wink

Seems we lost a few more posts. I was that busy at work yesterday I didn't even get a chance to log in in the afternoon so didn't even know we had a problem.

Please don't talk about cheese, it is my big problem. I love chuncks of it at bedtime, unfortunately it doesn't give me nightmares, if it did I might manage to stay away from the stuff. Ray tells me my huge bum is caused by all the cheese I eat. Personally I blame the wine, the crisps, the bread, the sausages, etc, etc. Now trying to limit myself to only have cheese on a weekend and then in moderation - but it's not easy. I have tried the lowfat cheeses and they are disgusting.

Planned on doding one of my aerobics videos last night, but then I noticed a new Taggart series began last night and then they had the cheek to kill of Micheal Jardine and I couldn't tear myself away to put the vid on. In the end I dragged out my exercise bike and pedalled as I watched. As this rate I'll end up with square eyes.

Ate marvellously yesterday, and exercised. If only everyday could be so easy.

Carol

I think I posted something about cooking with cheese yesterday - basically I just buy the strongest cheddar I can - whatever is available - the one with the highest flavour factor/strongest smell - and then only use a third of the amount. It means I can eat cauliflower or macaroni cheese without having to starve myself for the rest of the day.

Well done on the exercise, Carol, there's nothing wrong with doing it while you are watching TV.

I will try and do my photo avatar thingy again - if all the posts disappear again then I will know it is my picture which is causing it!!!!!!!!

Good morning all

Well another 4lbs gone - YIPPEE - I have to say I was not so good at the weekend (I can never get through them without a hiccup) but I made up for it.

Joined Rosemary Conley last night - It was packed - Her scales did weigh me heavy as I said they would But never mind as long as they just show a loss every week It was the first time I had exercised in nearly a year - WOW I ache this morning. It was 45 mins of low impact aerobics, I really enjoyed it and worked really hard. I may have been one of the fattest there but I was not to bad at the aerobics if I do say so myself

Janey - well done for getting back on track.

Carol - I used to have an exercise bike but it ended up being a bit of a wardrobe (it had clothes all over it!) Everytime I used it to watch tv I ended up just sitting on it because I couldn't hear very well. We've got a running machine in the garage but it's too boring for words - Dave put a tv in there and I still can't be bothered!!

CHEESE - Mmmmmmmm. I can't control myself around cheese, it's my "danger" food (along with chocolate, chips, crisps etc ) anyway, I've stopped buying all the lovely cheese I used to buy for me and Dave but what I do now is only buy Edam which the girls like (I don't ) I've tried all those low fat cheeses but they're gross!

Well done Delaney - 8lbs off is brillant. I went off the rails at the weekend but am looking forward to my weigh in tonight.

Veggie - oops - just as well I didn't tell you the ending. Need to watch what I say in future.

Just been out for a walk around the very interesting busines park where I work. Started to rain half round so I walked the last bit in record time.

Best go try and finish that Change management document, got to go to Aberdeen tomorrow to discuss it so I really need it finished. But it is so boring

How did you manage to get the Euro symbol?

You couldn't give the plot of taggart away more than the combination of the trailer and the radio times!

Change management document sounds fancy!
