Cor! I bought some of that Dorset muesli  Had some for breakfast and it is absolutely GORGEOUS  - I'm going to have some more for lunch!!! If anything its a bit TOO full of fruits, seeds and nuts, I might 'dilute' it down a bit with some plain jumbo oats.

Piddlingaround - you're doing better than me then!

Frus - Good luck with your grading. Shame not to wear the long slinky dress.

I'm the same as you, I don't like going to restaurants/pubs which have chips as a plate filler with everything - they usually aren't very nice chips and leave me with a kind of fatty/slimey coating on the inside of my mouth which lingers - like you say, eating that kind of junk is a complete waste of calories BUT.... I do enjoy REALLY good chips which is why we're off up to Whitby tomorrow and are planning fish 'n' chips 'n' mushy peas at the Magpie :fr:

RSG - I tend to feel bloated when I eat 'white' wheat products nowadays - don't know why - maybe when I was bigger I just didn't notice or didn't mind.

Michele - Good about Ken.... your parents always sound so sweet, funny and lovely.

My least favourite day today... just me and the boss on shift this afternoon... oh joy.

OMG! Can I come with you??? I loev Whitby fish and chips - they're the best in the WHOLE WORLD!!!!

Have you ever eaten in Trenchers? It's a fish and chip restaurant nearer the harbour. It's on the roundabout near the station. I personally like it better than the Magpie and there are fewer queues!!!! Plus the toilets are out of this world! They've had a loo of the year award! Now that's a reason to go!

I've heard that there was another excellent chippy in Whitby - I've made a note of it but its going to be hard to drag DH away from the Magpie. You're right, Whitby fish & chips ARE the best - absolutely perfect in every way. Thank goodness it takes us nearly 2 hours to get there!!!

It's cheaper than the Magpie?

If anyone's interested...

Nope - that wouldn't work. I might try the Trencher next time because it is very likely we'll get our fish 'n' chips from the takeaway bit and eat it on the bandstand area so we can take the dogs with us. (They like fish as well!)

I'll have a look at that link now. :)

Are you going to do the Beyond Chocolate course??? Sounds interesting!

Sarah - I've just got back in from town where I picked up a box of that Dorset muesli. I've had it before at other people's houses but never dared buy a box for myself because it's just too good and I don't trust myself with it. Fingers crossed I make it last!

Oh you guys and your musli! :p I've got some cranberry and blueberry musli from Waitrose sitting in the cupboard that I can't eat since it makes me hungry about 1 hour later! :tantrum: But I do put it with some yoggie for a nice snack!

Nah I'm not going on the course, but I'm thinking about going to the No-Diet-Day tea party thing. I'm so not willing to spend over £100 for someone to boss me around! I don't like food ****s! :lol3:

never been to the magpie cos every time I've been to Whitby the queue's been down the street!!!. Used to always go to Yorkshire (or something) fisheries down the street which is good too:)

Hello everyone

Tonight I got in and my hubby told me that a fox had again got into my garden and killed my Ricky the rabbit. It was strange because earlier before I popped out My Kerry came hacking up to me when I opened the doors into the garden and dashed into the kitchen. She hasn't done this since Ricky came to live with us as originally he was my friend's rabbit Ken's mum. She moved and her garden wasn't safe. Now it seems mine isn't too. Its just the saddest thing. I felt awful telling my friend.

Goodnight everyone godbless

Michele

Oh Michelle...so sorry :(

Rough week for the pets, makes me sad.

:( Poor Ricky :(

Whoo - 19 miles this morning round the park (and round, and round, and round...) I think I'll have a quiet afternoon and a bit of a rest after that! I ran all the way again, so I'm definitely getting there.
