Default Easter Chicks Weigh In Thread - End of Week 4

Pinch, punch, First of the Month
(and no returns)

Here we are.... four weeks since we started the Easter Challenge .... and I'm a bit disappointed in myself. I just don't seem to have the motivation that I had before Christmas (maybe its because I haven't got some lovely Monsoon clothes in the next size down size hanging on the outside of my wardrobe door!)

Anyone else suffering with lack of motivation? What can we do about it?? Okay... beautiful new clothes that are bought too small seem to motivate me (but I can't afford any at the moment) so I'm looking for inspiration... what motivates YOU???

THIS week I managed to shift some fresh blubber. After yesterday's panicky post (on last week's thread) about gaining a couple of pounds, I seem to have somehow lost them overnight plus an additional pound - so I'm ONE pound down this week. I'd love to know why my weight fluctuates so wildly - its not TOM because (as my DH puts it) I've been neutered.

So... how is everyone else doing? (Ohhhh please remember to mention what you find motivating!)

well im having a bit of an odd time at the mo, boyfriend redundent, me working as hard as ever at everything. but for 2 weeks my diet stayed around the same 2 lb area, which is unlike me. So this week i have upped the cals to 1400 in the day, and 15-- fri, 1600 sat and 1500 sun. day 4 and after a binge last night as part of an art project (had a kids party in a tent in my bedroom) i am down to 210, not sure how much i have lost now, but i know its about 8lbs since christmas. Yay.......why am i looosing on such high cals when i havent changed my exercise... ????

motivation... Summer to reach my goal, go on holiday and wear a nice costume feel good about myself on the beach. and also if imeet it by easter, then i spend summer working out my non flabby skin and tone up real good LOL.

Morning everyone,
Well done on you losses sarah and free!

I've done better this week too - 3lbs.

I joined a leisure club this week and all the extra exercise seems to be doing the trick

One of my good friends from school has just been in touch to say that she is getting married in November - so that is major motivation for me at the moment. I've been overweight for as long as I can remember - and would look to turn up to this wedding - where lots of people I grew up with will be - looking fantastic!

I don't have much to report, but I do have something. Maybe a quarter of a pound. That's quite good for me recently so I'm not going to complain, but I really do need to sort my eating out a bit more. I've got a bit complacent and nibbly, and I know I could lose a bit more if I had a bit more discipline.

Going out for a curry tonight with running club though, so I'm not sure much discipline will be shown there

S/C/G: SW:226/16st - about 50lbs lost

Well, let's see - 12stone 6.5lbs today so that's er... 2.5 loss since last week so that's a 2.5lbs loss in total. Better than a slap across the face with a wet kipper!

I'm aiming to bust through the 12 stone 5lbs barrier next week!

What keeps me motivated? Well it was brown belt test, 10k run, school careers day, and a wedding. But now it's just a 10k run, careers day and a wedding!

I have a specific dress that I want to wear for the wedding on March 31st - which only really fastens if I'm about 11stone 10lbs, so we'll have to get a flamin' wriggle on!

Also the other motivation is a new month. It means a new page in my spreadsheet and a blank sheet - which is nice. So I'm going to try and get a tick in every box this month.

Last month was reasonable - 21/30 good eating days, an average of 1950kcals 14/23 weights days and 19/27 cardio days. So this month I'm going to try and beat that record! I'm really trying for a whole month of goodness - I'm trying to rearrange my brain into working for me rather than against me!

Well, since I renewed my motivation and got back on the wagon last Sunday, I've managed to lose 5lb! I'm not sure quite how I lost it so fast, but am guessing that the last weekend where I over indulged wayy too much meant that the scales were showing a bit higher on Monday morning. So, I'm down to 149lb now! Might increase my calories a bit for the rest of the week as I don't want to be losing too much too soon.

Katteh - I am trying to work out what your picture is of. My eyes are not that good.

Well after admitting I do not feel that good after having a cooked brekkie at the hospital some times - what do I do but have it again? Admittedly only the hash browns are prob fried as the rest - tinned tomatoes and baked beans and scrambled eggs wouldn't be but I do feel wierd. Also it stinks my clothes out. Must say NO! next time!

Off to the working men's club tonight (and working women's!) to celebrate someone's b.day. I fancy a cider but won't drink much cos it makes me wee alot - something I don't want to encourage considering I am up about 3 times in the night!

Thumbs up

hi, ive managed to lose about 5 lbs this week, down to just under 204. i dont know why its so much as in general im eating enough to keep me satisfied - up to 6 small meals a day. im sure thats were i went wrong in the past. i would stick to 3 meals a day regardless of how hungry i was. mind you i have a lot to lose - about 85 more lbs - and im sure it will slow down pretty soon.
i have a number of motivations, first is to see the scale settle at under 200lbs. but i am going on holiday in june, and while i realise i will still have a way to go by then, i want to see the look on my family`s face when i turn up slimmer than i have done for about 8 years. especially my sis as she is a long, lean fighting machine and i am short and round.i also want to buy a swimming cossie and take the kids swimming, mad

I'm down one, meaning I've lost a grand total of 2 this month. I'm actually OK with that I've had an extremely social month with a huge amount of eating and drinking events. February I'm slowing my pace down a lot so I'm hoping to lose a little more.

At first when I thought it was only 2 lbs I got a little depressed but then I thought if I could lose 2 lbs a month for the whole year I'd be at my goal!!!

Anyway, motivation for me is just improving myself, especially with running. I still laugh every day that I am a person someone would call a runner. I can easily (well sometimes easily) throw on my sneakers and just go run for an hour and actually enjoy it. Specifically right now the half marathon that I signed up for and finishing it without collapsing are huge motivators too

Well surprise, surprise, into what is it? Fourth week? I have finally managed to lose a HALF a pound... but I'll take it I actually FEEL thinner, which is weird cos half a pound doesn't make that much of a difference, but I'll take that feeling too.

Well done all you losers....wahoo for everyone.

Motivation? Hmm...well I would like to fit back in all the size 14 clothes that I was wearing two years back when I had done so well and lost a pile of lard...they're flded in a box at the moment as the wardrobe is smaller here than in AZ.

I would love to be lighter and thinner for Hannah's graduation which is in June 08, but I don't think something that far off is good enough motivtion for me... even though I know if I stuck to healthy eating and regular exercise, I would prob be at goal in that time or close anyway....but that's my problem, I think I can do all of this in five minutes and get pi**ed off when it doesn't happen....

So, am looking for motivation really... anyone find anything that you think would suit me, plese send it over thanks.

Have lost 2 1/4 lbs this week - also pleased with myself for turning down the offer of a Burger King last night. Am struggling today though.....

As for motivation - have been diagnosed with high blood pressure for which I will be starting tablets shortly - not good as I'm only 32 years old and it's gonna cost me a fortune in prescriptions! Am finding it tough to trying to cut down on both food intake and salt but hey-ho, I will just concentrate on one day at a time.

What kind of plan are you following Clydegirl? Don't let it dishearten you - you've obviously come a long way so far if you've managed to lose 11lb - that's great!
