Poor Toys if there is any justice in the world you will have lost some weight. Drink plenty fluids (water rather than Vodka!).

Poor toys, hope you feel better soon.

I'm stuck at the same weight, which is good after leg day - I'm usually up a pound or two! Hopefully this will bode well for the rest of the week I must eat some proper food soon, I can feel the healthiness slipping! I'm relying more on protein cakes and oats than I'd like, but I have some turkey mince in the freezer that I will make burgers out of tonight, and I might do some sort of fish or chicken dish.

Toys Take care of yourself - make sure your body is getting enough nourishment to fight the bug and get better.

I shall be SO glad to go back up to 1500 cals, 1200 is so restrictive. I've been reading the Diet Doctors book and I put together the ultimate in healthy breakfasts - oats, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, linseeds, almonds and cashews all soaked over night then mixed with bio low fat Greek style yoghurt, a touch of honey and serving of mixed berries... and when I worked out the cals it was over 400! Just for breakfast!!!

I ate it anyway and it was delicious. I'll have to go carefully for the rest of the day.

Weigh-in day tomorrow. The blummin scales had better reflect the amount of effort I've put in to dieting this week .... or I'll be forced in to extreme measures... like... like.... like cutting off a leg or something!

Get better Toys.

Frus, what do you put in your turkey burgers?

I *feel* slimmer today but I know that's more to do with the amount of water I drank yesterday, flushed my system out good. I'm still mad about putting on a pound since last week. I am going to be so good this week and next week hopefully I'll be down. I actually turned down the chance to eat Thai food last night, how good am I?

turkey surprisingly

1lb turkey breast mince (from Waitrose)
1/2 red onion finely chopped
a fair few chopped mushrooms
half a chopped apple
salt and pepper
a beaten egg

Fry onion, mushrooms and apple... In a large bowl whisk up the single egg. Add turkey mince to the egg and then the other fried stuff, mix it all together, then spoon out about a quarter of the mix and shape into a patty in the frying pan. They fry well and the mix keeps in the fridge for 3ish days depending on the date of the turkey.

Another nice one is a pound of turkey mince with 4oz / 100g of feta or blue cheese crumbled in - if I'm being virtuous I use low fat feta - then add about 20 roughly chopped olives and lots of oregano (dried is okay). I don't normally bother with an egg with this recipe. Just add seasoning, press firmly it in to burger shapes, let them sit in the fridge for minimum of an hour and then fry.

Thanks ladies, I'm going to try both of those recipies in the coming weeks. Speaking of cheese in burgers, when I make them with red meat, I like to take a cube of cheese, usually some kind of blue and press it into the middle of the burger. You might have to shape the meat around the cheese a little depending on the consistency of the meat and size of the cube of cheese. Grill away and then slice into the middle for a lovely gooey cheesy surprise.

Right, if it's weigh-in on Thursdays then I've lost 2lbs this week! It's good, but I'm actually a little up from yesterday - eating fibre and drinking lots today

I'm down to 154.4 this morning, which will do me nicely. Down from about 158.5 on Monday, although I know a lot of that was water.

hi, didnt weigh myself today as im bloated - and evil - due to my period. but yesterday (yes i know im one of these people who become obsessed with the scales when on a diet) i was 214. 8 lbs, so its on its way down. everytime i have dieted in the past i have stuck to 3 meals a day and i have starved. this time i am eating up to 4/5 times a day - but smaller, and i dont feel as hungry. i got half way through my dinner the other night, mainly veg, with smaller portions of chicken and baked spud and i felt full, certainly a first for me! cheers, mad.
