Default Thursday

Today is weigh in day and it is not going to be good. But I will go anyway. Of course I don't have a choice as I have to be there. I am hoping the rally that is coming up might help me.
I saw some new names and I want to say welcome and join us often.

Glad to see new people on here this week The more the merrier I say
I am totally with Eleni this week in going to my meeting I did great the last few days but oh my on the weekend I did awful and I know the scale is gonna show it, BUT I cant get too depressed or upset cause then I am hard on myself and I dont need that at this time for sure!! I hope everyone has a super day and I hope to pop in later and give you the results of the weigh in ... good or bad, Tops Hugs to all!!!

Hi everyone

Well, I haven't done very well at all the week. It's been one of those weeks where I wanted to eat everything in site. We're getting ready to go on our trip. We had planned to leave today, but we had too much to do and postponed it until tomorrow. I'm looking forward to some cooler weather and hopefully the leaves will be changing. I'm going to try to control my eating while I'm gone. I do NOT want to have a gain at weigh in when I get back.

Hope you all do well at weigh-in today and don't forget to post your losses on the challenge post.

Cbabe.......giving up that bread was a good idea. How did you get the whole chapter to go along with that? Some of the members in our chapter have been there about 25 years and you can't get them to do anything. They say coming helps them not to gain more weight, but they don't work at losing. They are nice people and that is what is good about TOPS, everyone is welcome.

Eleni, have fun at the rally and Sherri, that sounds like a good contest. Will keep it in mind for next spring. We just started a bowling contest. It will last 10 to 12 weeks. If you lose, you get a strike, if you turtle, you get a spare, gains gets a zero. It cost .50 cents to get in the contest and you pay a fine of .25 if you gain (KOPS do not pay fine, unless out of leeway). This money will be used for the prize and if it's enough, we will have 1st., 2nd and 3rd place prizes.

Hi! I suppose I am one of the new ones. This is a wonderful site! I am in the process of finding the closest TOPS group to me. I am really going to try to stick this out and see how much of myself I can lose. (I would really like to dump that siamese twin of mine that is joined at the scales *sighs*) I have been lurking here for the past couple of days, reading the postings by people. I might actually be able to succeed at losing the weight I want to and keeping it off.

Hi Jamie,

Welcome to the boards. I am so glad you decided to join us and stopped lurking. We are all like one big family here. We are here in the good times and the bad. It seems like when one of us is doing bad there is always someone else out there doing just as bad. So we encourage each other to do better and try to get each other going in the right direction. Also we are here in the good times cheering each other on.

How did weigh in go? I know that your rally will motivate you. You said they usually do.

I hope you have a great time on your trip. Don't worry too much about the plan. If you really don't want to gain just stop and think before you eat and make good decisions. Choose healthy foods. You can do it if you put your mind to it. But we all tend to go off plan while away. It is okay as long as you jump back on the wagon when you get back.

Well ladies,

I did great all week. I was so proud of myself but I ruined it today. I vowed not to go to the buffet anymore until I got to where I wanted to be. Well I went for lunch today and I didn't eat any dinner and guess what. I gained 2 lbs. I was so upset. I knew I had worked hard to. It just wasn't fair. I figured that after not eating for 2 days that it would be okay. Also I ate at 2 so I thought I had plenty of time to get rid of it before weigh in. Well that wasn't the case and it made me so sick from eating too much. Actually I ate a lot less then I normally do. But definetly too much serving wise. Then I was sick when I got home from eating too much. My system couldn't take all the food after not eating for 2 days. So I did it myself. I know better now. I should have had a good loss tonight and I didn't because I gave in and went to the buffet. I know it had to been that. It is the only thing I could think of that would cause the gain. But I am not giving up. I had my off plan day today and tomorrow I am back on plan again. I have to lose this weight so I can't give up. I had my first great week on plan and I plan on continueing on that path to lose this weight.

Christie,

Don't be down about your gain tonight. We are going to be having a loss next week for sure. Then you will have your status back and I will be closer to my goal. We can do this girl.

WE ARE ALL HERE FOR EACH OTHER. Keep your heads held high and keep smiling. We can do this together.

PS THOSE DOING THE DECEMBER CHALLANGE DON'T FORGET TO POST YOUR RESULTS. GOOD OR BAD.
