Default Hump Day Wednesday

Good Morning all,

Well my scale is still not down. But I am not going to get down because of it. I am going to keep going.

I am really going to try and watch my salt intake today and see what happens with that.

I think it might be the salt. I just started looking at the sodium on the things I have been eating and it is very high. So we will see. I haven't had any junk this week so I am going to keep it up. I sure hope tomorrow I see a difference in my scale.

Okay everyone. Here is the plan for today. Start fresh again today. Today is a fresh day with no mistakes in it. Tomorrow is gone and forget about it. You can't do anything about it now so let it go. You can do this I know you can. We are in this together and we will win no matter how long it takes. Make good choices and pay attention to what we eat.

Have a great day everyone. I will check in later. I have to go exercise and then do some errands. I am off work today. But I have some papers to deliver to a client and a dr. appt. for my daughter for her yearly checkup.

I will be thinking of all of you.

Eleni how are you doing? Did you make it through the day yesterday on plan? You can do this. You have done it before. Be strong.

Thumbs down I am new here

Hi all

I just went to my first TOPS meeting on Monday night. I am thinking of joining b/c I need the accoutability.
I am a 48 (soon 49) year old SAHM to Amy my almost 4 yo.
I have been married nearly 10 years to Paul my biggest cheerleader. We live in Sunny So Cal(unless there are brown outs).
I have about 70 pounds to lose so I am in this for the long haul or should I say for life. This has to be a life long process doesn't it??
Well I hope you all have a very good day.

If you aim at nothing you will hit it every time.

Good morning....I just have time for a quick note (again) but wanted to say hi.

Christie.....hope your father-in-law is better soon. It is hard waiting. Glad to hear he did well with the blood transfusion.

Sherri......glad to hear you are still going to keep going. I know salt is a big factor. Did you see the info I posted under your Sodium thread? I don't always believe everything I read but wanted to post it anyway. It came from eDiets.

Susan....welcome to the board. I wouldn't have kept going without TOPS. I have to say I have slacked off a bit since April and haven't gone to my meetings like I should but I am going to start going again after my holidays. I still weigh in regularly but haven't been able to stay.

Welcome to all the newbies.. glad to have you join us and I look forward to getting to know you better.

Wendy, Penny, Eleni, Nancy and anyone else I missed...hope this are well with you.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Marie

Default Thank You!

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! I've been on these boards since March and I find them very motivational! As for goal, I'm putting my first goal at 180 lbs. (I'm 5'9.5") It has changed a few times but I will have to see how I feel when I reach it! That leaves 60 or so by the end of the year. I'm not too worried about reaching it by then. I gave myself 1 year from March to lose but I will be close!

Hi Marie,

No I haven't read what you posted yet. I am heading there after I get done here. I will post back to you though. I was just at the Dr's office for my daughters checkup and I asked him about the salt issue. He said that all processed foods has a lot of salt and to try and stay away from them. He said it is actually better for me to have a hamburger the 90% lean meat then deli meat sandwich for lunch. I was surprised. He said there isn't that much salt in meats except for what you put on them.

I was so proud of myself today. I don't have anyone around me that is encourageing me to lose this weight. They all keep trying to get me to eat the bad things. It makes it so hard. We went to lunch today with my mom. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich on wheat bread, tossed salad 2 tablespoons dressing and a fruit plate which my daughter ate most of that. And my water of course. They got ice cream. I wanted a brownie sundea in the worst way today but I walked out of the resteraunt leaving them to eat there ice cream cones.LOL My mom kept saying just have one here have a bite of mine. I said no I can't have it and stop asking me to eat it. I asked her for the keys and said I can't stay in here and watch you eat this and not have any. So I went in the car and waited for them. I did feel great about myself that I didn't give in. That makes me feel like I am one step closer to my goal. Oh yes I did have 4 of megan's french fries also. But then I stopped myself and said enough is enough. So I thought that was great. It sure does make it even harder when you don't have someone around that will encourage you and help you not to eat those things. For all of you that do have that great support be very thankful and make sure you tell them thank you for supporting you. It really means a lot when you don't have it.

So I have stayed on plan so far so that is good. I did weigh myself at the dr's office to see if I had lost anything since last week and their scale is down 2 1/2 lbs. So I was real happy with that. I hope the TOPS scale reads the same loss or more.LOL I know every scale is different. Mine is the same as last week so I was getting down that I wasn't accomplishing anything. But I know that each day that I eat healthy I am getting closer to my goal.

We are going to do this together.

Shelly,

Sounds like you have a plan for yourself. That is great. Reaching your goal in one year from march is a great goal for yourself and realistic. But just think you are heading in the right direction. Keep up the great work.

Marie,

I hope you are still on plan. How is your new plan working out for you? Do you like it? You really need to get back to going to your meetings. It will help to keep you going throughout the week. Get back there woman.LOL Keep up the great work. You were doing so great. I am glad that you are back in the game again and didn't quit.

Hi Sunny Susan,

Welcome to our boards. I am glad you found us. Did you like your first meeting? I am glad that you are going back. It really helps to keep you heading in the right direction even if you have slips. The groups on here are great and you will receive a lot of support from all of us. We are like one big family. If one person falls we help them back up. We all have our good and bad days. We vent here about things that are bothering us, get help and encouragement when we need it and offer help and encouragement to others in return.
Good luck staying on plan this week. You can do it. Visit here often and you will do fine.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Hi to all of those that aren't here today!
