Where is everyone???

Well good morning guys....
I just thought I would start the thread today since it wasnt here
I hope everyone is ok Did you see the pics on yesterdays thread from my SRD??? I had so much fun..It was great to be able to take my daughter with me and just have a good time.

I am almost afraid to go weigh in tonight...
Dont get me wrong, I have watched my sugars and starches really well this week.. but exercise wasnt my top priority so we will see how it goes


Laurie... thanks for the reply on the pics, I know you will do fine at next weigh in...you are doing a good job on the losses

Hey Christian,

I am finally back. I haven't had a chance all week to post then I couldn't get online because my phone was dead and didn't know it. But I am definetly going to make time for the boards this week. I do so much better when I do because I am focusing on me and my plan. Which I haven't been good this week because I have had junk this week. I have been trying to watch the carbs and sugars but not diliagently. I am going to do much better this week I promise myself. I watched Dr. Phil from the tape that I made from the tues. opraha show this week. He was talking about weightloss again. It does me good to listen to him.

I have to start watching what I am putting in my mouth and do away with the junk food. My problem is that it is here in the house and then I eat it. I can't wait for it to be gone but I am not going to gobble it all up just to get rid of it. My husband opened the chips and I have been snacking on them here and there. A hand full here and a hand full there with dip and it all adds up. If I didn't have the junk then I would have been fine I know it. So this week I am going to try and make time for the boards and everyone this week and stick to my plan. I am going to take it one day at a time. I know I can do this but I am not making myself. And I really want to reach my goal and if I don't change the way I am acting and eating then I will never get to my goal just farther away. I know I will have another gain tonight and I don't really want to go and face that. But it is the reality and I have to face it so I will do something about it.

I haven't read the other postings for the week yet. Just wanted to make sure that I posted here.

Donna,

Thank you for all the cards and I have not forgotten you. I really appreciate everything that you send me and it does help.

I hope everyone else is doing great. I will catch up with you this week and have a loss to. I have to get off my butt and start working my plan instead of the food working me.

Loved all the pictures that have been posted. Thanks Christie for posting from SRD and Eleni for posting the pictures.

Sherri.....it is hard sometimes. I am struggling to stay on track and it is hard. My husband has said he will try to eat better when we get back from holidays. We are going in July and he needs to lose weight too.

I didn't go to my meeting last night. We were trying to finalize our vacation plans and it got too late. I know I didn't gain but would have stayed the same or maybe a pound loss. Will see what happens next week.

Donna.......I saw on the news the transit strike is still on? That is your husband's union isn't it? I was talking to a lady at work and she was talking about the strike pay. Do they get much strike pay? She said they get quite a bit. Our transit workers got $100.00 a week. If you would rather not say that is okay or you can e-mail me and let me know if you would rather not post it on the board.

Weigh-in was not the greatest but I managed a .25 loss.How I did it amazes me.I have been doing badly and getting worse.I wish I knew how to stay focused but then we are all fighting that demon.
We had a small group tonight but leader and co-leader asked for suggestions on how to make the meetings better.Many good ideas came up.During the hot summer months our attendance drops drastic.A lot of people go back up north
I am putting in a job ap at another security company tomorrow.They have taken over a place that is 1 or 2 miles from home.It is a really long shot as I will only work days.But I have nothing to lose but the time it takes me to go to their office.I would be in hog heaven if I could go to work that close to home.
I am way behind in my e-mail so if you haven't heard from me I am just way behind.
Hope all have a good day tomorrow.Thank goodness for tomorrows.So we have a chance to do better than today

Returning back to work, has got me totally unorganized.
I turtled at meeting on Monday. Not bad after the wedding.

Oh, the Wedding. The man that was going to preform it couldn't because of his step father in law was sick. So at the last minute we had to come up with someone. It all worked out, but it was the fastest wedding I had been to. Plus the guy that was bartending didn't show up, and the cake people left. We had plently of food. I had a great time. The bestman got a stretch tahoe limo. we road around in that and drank champaign, and beer, and pop. With all the stuff that went on we were exhausted. Then going back to work on Monday, added to it. My hand still swell up really bad and they hurt. I don't think the heat has helped. close to 90. I've been trying to stay on plan, but I'm really poofy this week.

I miss you all very much. Going car hunting tomorrow, and at work back to 6 days a week. Dr. didn't specify no overtime.
I'll try and e-mail you ladies later. Take care and keep on keeping on. CAN WE DO THIS, YES WE CAN

Hi All ! - I know today is weigh in for alot of you guys. Hope that all goes well. My weigh in is tuesday and I don't know if I wrote it down or if you remember but last week I was up 4 1/2 pounds. I couldn't figure it out and thought it might be because I went on some new medication. Well this week I weighed in and I was down 5 pounds so it must have been the medication. Thank goodness. I also feel more encouraged this week since I seem to be back to where I started. We are in a contest right now and we get points for keeping our journal and for exercising 3x a week , for doing nice things for ourself and our tops pals, for drinking lots of water and then of course for losing weight. It seems to help and a group of us are getting together an hour before weigh in to walk around the track that is close by. Most of us stroll but some walk faster and we all can go at whatever speed is comfortable. This contest seems to be helping me anyhow.

Eleni and Christian - thank you so much for posting up all the pictures. What fun to see each other. It would be great if we all could post our pictures up.

Yes Marie my hubby is still on strike and now they are saying to christmas. Neither side seems to be budging and the govt. says they are not getting involved. We will just have to wait and see. Actually the strike pay isn't too awful. It started at 100.00 a week but is now upto 200.00 a week which is okay for us because we don't have a mortgage and I do some part time work tho' there are always lots of expenses such as house insurance, property taxes, and lots of guests in the summer visiting. It's really the younger couples with a mortgage and kids at home that I worry about. Hopefully it will be over with soon. So many people are being upset by this. I have kept my husband busy painting the house. He wishes he was back at work.

Eleni - I will keep my fingers crossed for you on the job application. Being close to home would be so nice.

Only by 1/4 a pound but there it is
Im just gonna have to add exercise!!
I will keep posting my food intake and add walking this week, I only have 10 miles to go to get a walking ribbon, So I am gonna try to get there by the next weigh in if I can...

I lost 1 pound this week, and I am happy with it. I exercised all week and drank my water. I go to our Inspirational Meeting (Budding Butterflies) Saturday, for TOPS members in Divisions 1 and 7. That always pumps me up, its very motivational.
